Speed limit in Knoxville I40 interstate is 55 mph. And if it was a state trooper you should never pass them. and 18+ the speed limit would get you reckless most likely
How neat and by the policeman not giving him a ticket his family probably gave the man such a hassle he will never drive over the limit again. That was one smart cop.He did not fine the man what he should have in order to really make an example for the mans whole family. That was one good cop 5 stars.
In construction zone don't go over limit (no grace). California changed it to "when workers are present". The left lane was once called the "passing lane" cuz any amount of passing is good enough. Yield to law breakers, so know what is the law. Your supposed to signal BEFORE you decide, its a forewarning; the code does not say anything about signaling after you decide after the minimum of 100 feet or up to 5 seconds @ highway speeds. If you also tailgated, then you broke every rule possible, ha
That's because you act in good faith. He knew you weren't trying to lie when you said "go with the flow" but that you meant to do that. They will nail you on a lie but he knew you were not trying to lie. It was probably a fresh learning experience for the policeman. Honesty matters but shouldn't; it's the lying that is the culprit and the will to not learn
lol, u obviously reminded him of his cuzzin bubba and he didnt have the heart, hehe
Also i'm sure he could tell u were not a criminal and KPD are decent and ur beggin prolly worked and he gave u a break. ;-) Last ticket i got he gave me a break and wrote it for less miles over to save me money and points. I told him he did a good job i never seen him till i was under the radar gun. KPD has more important things to do he just wanted to bitch u out lol - ur accent is great ;-)
I'm from Knoxville, and all I have to say about the situation is that Knoxville cops rule. Sometimes KPD cops will mess with you and joke with you if you get pulled over, and after being stopped a couple of times before I moved away (hopefully moving back, Knoxville rules) I/we never got tickets.
Well, thanks for the comment. I would like to meet the guy and thank him. He was right and I was wrong, but I HAVE NOT lived it down with my wife and Mother-in-law. They have given me a hard time ever since! Like I said, I don't know why he didn't give me a ticket(or two) but I am thankful he didn't. All things considered he was very nice. You guys have a difficult and sometimes thankless job. Thanks for your service to the community, may the Lord bless you and thanks again for the note.
Admit it. You had someone up there looking out for you. I can't believe you didn't ask him if he was going so slow because he was eating his donut, with the way you are. I love it.
I live in Knoxville, Tn, and our Police Officers are really good about cutting people slack on tickets. They treat people with respect we are pretty lucky to have that kind of police force. Of course you always have bad apples, but for the most part the KPD is really good to the public.
Hey, I am not nothing but Thankful that he let me go. I was breaking the law (I plead ignorance!) but it was so funny afterward, that he just handed me my license and said "slow down and have a nice day". I have never figured out why he let me go on my merry way.

@worseto I have to agree! I wish I could find him and thank him. It has been the source of much mirth in my family at my expense!
