@lkngiants45 When you use the trial version a little window come up to let you buy a serial code whenever you open the program. I'm a student so it didn't cost me very much, £150 or so?
I don't use photoshop (can't afford it) but what helps me with coloring/shading in GIMP is the path tool. I use it to create shapes and then fill in with color, if needed I'll run the blur tool over it to soften the edges. That might be something to consider if a tablet is not applicable... It takes longer, but it still gets the job done.
hay thanks for the tutorials. I'm still using a mouse. T_T but your tutorials where a lot of help. All i don't get is the line thickness change because of the mouse. But I really needed this type of photoshop help. Thanks again.
The burn and dodge tools are good in the hands of experts, but for most people the results are clumsy and of poor quality. Believe me, I used to use them for shading, and moved on to this method.
Thank u so much! i've been looking for a tutorial this good and clear, loved all 4 parts of it, thx!!!!

These are still the best things ever. The best bit is your voice isn't overmiked and loud as all hell.
