But isn't it crazy how much time has passed since then, but when looking back at one specific moment, all the crap that happened between now and then just seems to fade away to nothingness? Even though I think this game would be great fun on its own rights, without the nostalgia... the experience of having played it as a young child gives it a certain spark of magic ;p

Your brain hates bad things, and throws them away and says 'Yeah sure 99% of world of warcraft was you sitting around for raids, and the last 1% was made up of you getting to the top 10 warlocks on your server while still being told you suck because you out-healed the healers...But naxxramas was fun wasnt it? I wanna do it again!" Then i kill myself but since im Forsaken, it resolves little :(

@etherraichu True, I understand where you're coming from. In fact, you may be on to something. I think the thing that annoys me most is that there's no way to immerse myself in my childhood consciousness, however temporarily, to remember what it was really like. Because much of it is so familiar and similar to how I now think, it's hard to know how much detail I may be retroactively adding or changing. At least if it was a few years ago I can be nostalgic while still retaining rational memory.

This game is it... this is the one! This was one of my favourite games EVER as a child. Dunno how old I would've been. 5 or 6 maybe. Funny thing is, I never bought it, only rented it. But I liked it so much I must've rented it about 3 times. Man... I gotta play this again. I didn't realise it was a sequel, either. Haha, I remember I used to make a lot of sketches using tracing paper, so I tried to trace Toe-Jam off the TV. Didn't, uh, work so well... -.-'

@greekLeon Definitely agree with you on the 3rd game. Played it for 5 minutes and threw it away. Nostalgia is possibly part of the equation, but I never found the side-scrolling structure of the 2nd game as appealing as the faux-3D style of the first. It made the game feel more of an adventure, and searching for the ship pieces with my friend playing as Earl was always fun.

i played this game as a kid, and nothing, nothing was funnier than when you shake a tree/bush, get hit by a blunt object and it bounces to hit your friend, only to bounce back and hit you, then one of you dies. God bless the 90's.
