im a funeral director and embalmer and there is nothing wrong with documenting the call out,are you small minded people saying its wrong to display the body too ,you all need to grow up
Not a happy sight , One of my neighbor's took his life last Sunday with a shotgun . All of us in the building knew what the sound was when he did it . Very sad to end it that way . Seeing the Macomb county medical examiner van there was unnerving and the trauma cleanup on Tuesday was the creepy part .
You retards didn't read the description, did you? It's Ripped's aunt's mother, so it's obviously famly. So no, she doesn't need to get lost and she isn't being nosy. Go learn to read video descriptions before viewing so you don't embarrass yourselves by making yourselves look like morons when you go to post a comment. On the other hand, if you did read it, then you're just illiterate and need to go learn how to read
hey ripped screw all the haters, this shows a tight family bond as it showsyou guys love each other. for the haters: every one, every family grieves in a different way. show some respect for his auntie!
can i ask a question,as ive been interested in pusuing a career, although not sure how to go about it ,or where to get the best advise as i live in scotland, united kingdom.but if i want to become a funeral director,do i also have to do embalming?im just unsure about this part?if you could advise me id be very grateful, thankyou.
@BESTYSBABE It really depends on where you are. Here where I work, in Louisiana, you can be just a funeral director (here, aka an "undertaker). But, to be an embalmer as well, you have to be a licensed funeral director as well. But I know that our neighbor Texas allows both: just funeral directors, just embalmers, or both.
@silenceisaweapon101 Thankyou so much for your advise, unfortunately i live in Scotland,Edinburgh in the U.K.and i'm not getting enough help and advise here. The funeral directors i'm coming across dont want to even talk to me or say sorry we cant discuss this at this time with you but its nice to know, thanks again
As long as the decedent here is anonymous, there should be no reason to feel it is wrong to film it. People are curious about death and want to know how deceased persons are treated after they die. And hopefully with utmost respect.
Honestly, we need more constant reminders that death is real...perhaps people would be less stupid in their decision making processes, and stop complaining about the things that don't really matter. Every time I pick up the body of a young person (or older person), I wonder...what would they give to have a few more hours...what would they change? Thanks for sharing...we need more reality clips and less reality shows.
I think that RippedupRefuge's intrigue is quite healthy and normal. I'm a funeral director/embalmer intern (FCCJ Class of 2008), and my family has been in the business over 50 years. The idea of using a hearse for house removals is quite classy...no one wants to see their loved one picked up in a "plumber's" van!! Why are we in such denial of death? We want it so far removed from us...but the truth is, you start dying at the moment you begin to live.
EXACTLY, thats just what it looks like when funeral homes use those stupid vans. We refuse to use a van. One may say "who cares your dead". All I have to say is thats not the point. The point is Your picking up a person, a person who lived a life. A mother, a father, a Child or freind.
It's natural to wonder how things like this are done. After all..this is something people don't see day to day.I see nothing wrong with this video.I grew up around this and ended up working in the death industry.People are curious of death and what goes on with the decedent behind closed doors.
Spoken like someone truly ignorant on the subject. Most funeral homes will only use vans at places such as nursing homes and hospitals so as not to alert other patients or their families to their presence. If you're in the ICU of a hospital the last thing you want to see if a hearse rolling up, wondering if you're going to be taking a ride next. Most hearses are used for deaths that occur at a household. It looks more classy to get taken away in a nice hearse rather than an unmarked white van.
Lol, I expected to get comments like this, negative and positive. I don't know honestly why I taped this maybe because I was curious and I thought others, who are in the same line of profession could. "benefit" from this. I don't know nobody forced you to watch this, So its your own fault for wasting the time to set here and type negative remarks about something when you chose to watch it in the first place
I was a funeral director who personally transfered the deceased and we used either a station wagon or a large transit van. Two in a station wagon and four in the van. Obviously do things differently in the US, I'm in Australia.
Im a funeral director from chicago and i have been on removals for a funeral home that requires house calls be made with the hearse. I have had families yell at us for bringing the hearse and and making a spectical. i think it should be a van otherwise we might as well wear red jumpsuits.
I think is stupid to bring a hearse to a house call why do you think moderan funeral directors use vans mini vans to keep the nosey neighbors from looking hahaha im a Lic. FDR and EMB for the past 21 years Every funeral home and state is way different but life goes on.
I took a van to the house to pick up a body and the family told me that I had 30 mins to go back and get the hearse or they were calling someone else to pick up there love one.
in Thailand my aunt died and we had used a pickup truck to bring the body home. Very different from what you see here. Its all DIY almost... we had to even remove her from life support ourselves!!!
A van or SUV is more efficient and nobody knows how hard it is to make the first call in a hearse. They are big, awkward, and hard as hell to maneuver in a tight driveway.
at least I don't have too much time on my hands to videotape bodies being removed from houses. is this seriously something you want up on youtube? i am sympatheic to you and your loss, but if you have any tapes of your nieces or female cousins 18 or older undressing, i'd rather see that
I am a funeral director/embalmer and there are two schools of thought here. I personally prefer to use the coach for home calls it seems more dignified to me and more traditional. But on the flip side it causes people to gather and stare, which could make families uneasy
Hi i am from the uk and i am a funeral director. We use Hearsettes for removels as familys tend not to like the hearse turning up at there houses to remove there love ones. A hearsette is like a van but smaller.
well most funeral homes use a mini van that has a top and bows on the side to do what is called a first call body removal they useualy only use there hearse for services
I'm in CA, and they use a plain white or black van with dark tinted windows for removal. I agree with UNDERTAKER730, the coach does look nice, but does attract attention when you're trying to be low key.
geez they used a hearse for a removal?? i hope they did not charge to use that coach. Im a Lic Funeral director in Oakland calif. but the hearse looked nice
In New England, it's normal to use a funeral coach on house calls. More traditional here. People would be sent into orbit if I ever arrived at their house in a minivan. All other first calls (hospitals, hospice and nursing homes) are vans!
why would you film this wtf
