Love to make this a trip for me. Next spring, I'll be in Utah doing Bryce and Zion Canyon. If time permits some of the Grand Canyon in Az. I liked the part where you said " my dad taught me the why ". My father passed away when I was 20, but he also taught me the Why. Have a super day and thanks for sharing
Great video! I've never been on the AT and I'm going this year. Any tips from people who have already hiked it, please? I don't want my food getting stolen by a very hungry bear if you know what I mean.
I went last summer to the appalachians and im goin again this year. Nd the bears are horrible. One charged at us and stole my bag so had 2 cut it short.
Very nice! I live in PA, right near Delaware Water Gap National Park and I want to meet the Appalachian Trail...Its very near. But I have not seen any videos or any comments on the Pennsylvania 239 miles stretch. Did you cross it? Peace.
Love it! I hope to do about 500 miles in the spring, probably taking my little dog with me too. Nice to see a strong and capable lone female, makes me feel more confident in doing it myself.
What video camera did you use? Dod you use a gorilla pod? How did you keep the camera dry?
wonderful video. it seemed very professional. 5/5. my cattle dog (kyle) and i are jealous. next summer we are doing a week long trip then work our way up to longer ones. thanks for sharing.
I certainly enjoyed this video, and am very envious. What a great dog too! I can hardly wait for future productions and insight into hiking the AT. You did great.
Very nice vid. Loved the DMB "Ants Marching" intro. I'll share this one with others. Leaving in 2 weeks for Mahoosic Notch and the Whites this vid is a nice send off . Thanks !
Congratulations on an outstanding hike and very nice video!
I think you're right about the ponies and your (good) dog: the ponies, especially with foals, were worried about your dog. It was the old predator threat instinct that tells mother horses that dog-like animals often don't mix well with tiny horses.

Good for you for doing the hike, even though you had to solo. Great video. I think I would enjoy hiking with a dog.

Great stuff. Your backpack was surprisingly small. Did you actually carry tent, sleeping bag, food etc??
radbcc 1 year ago
@radbcc Yes, I carried a Seedhouse Tent and a subkilo sleeping bag. No stove, so all my food was eaten cold.

No, that is actually what I ate, plus additional junk food.
schataje 1 year ago
I think she was being sarcastic about what she had for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cause all I saw was nothing more than junk food.
Of all the things you could eat for dinner, why would you eat twinkies?
I would have them for dessert, but for dinner! no way!
PS. her dog is cute.

Hey thanks for your video!
You might want to apply Vaseline to your feet for blisters prevention. I learned from marathon runner. Hope it works!

It is a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1. If I were to get a new one, I would get a Big Agnes Flycreek UL 1 (which is new and lighter).
