Love to make this a trip for me. Next spring, I'll be in Utah doing Bryce and Zion Canyon. If time permits some of the Grand Canyon in Az. I liked the part where you said " my dad taught me the why ". My father passed away when I was 20, but he also taught me the Why. Have a super day and thanks for sharing

Great video! I've never been on the AT and I'm going this year. Any tips from people who have already hiked it, please? I don't want my food getting stolen by a very hungry bear if you know what I mean.

I went last summer to the appalachians and im goin again this year. Nd the bears are horrible. One charged at us and stole my bag so had 2 cut it short.

Great stuff. Your backpack was surprisingly small. Did you actually carry tent, sleeping bag, food etc??

@radbcc Yes, I carried a Seedhouse Tent and a subkilo sleeping bag. No stove, so all my food was eaten cold.

Very nice! I live in PA, right near Delaware Water Gap National Park and I want to meet the Appalachian Trail...Its very near. But I have not seen any videos or any comments on the Pennsylvania 239 miles stretch. Did you cross it? Peace.

Love it! I hope to do about 500 miles in the spring, probably taking my little dog with me too. Nice to see a strong and capable lone female, makes me feel more confident in doing it myself.

What video camera did you use? Dod you use a gorilla pod? How did you keep the camera dry?

It is a Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1. If I were to get a new one, I would get a Big Agnes Flycreek UL 1 (which is new and lighter).

I think you're right about the ponies and your (good) dog: the ponies, especially with foals, were worried about your dog. It was the old predator threat instinct that tells mother horses that dog-like animals often don't mix well with tiny horses.
