  • YEs,yes I love Nana!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OK, anybody who steals the chords and bass line from the Police's "Roxanne" is OK by me. Steal from the best, I always say. At least on the verses she does this, and the chorus goes into more original territory. Still OK by me since she sings so well as per usual, as well as being teh kawaii as usual.

  • ... mad hipnotizing. for some reason, i couldnt take my eyes off the screen until the song froze halfway. and then i snapped out of it. then it coninued playing and i was hipnotized again. lol she's that awesome :T

  • yoku^^

  • I love Nana! I love every one of her songs!

  • I love Nana I was just saying because everyone seemed to be so confused. I don't know anything about, or care anything about Japanese hentai laws since they will never effect me. I was just saying because I don't want anyone to diss Nana-San. She is the coolest thing J-Pop and J-Fashion has ever produced!

  • To everyone: Just ignore the ice princess 1Ice1. Obviously she was just looking for a scream fight so she can be proven wrong, cut herself, and die. If we ignore her; she'll leave into the hole she crawled out of.

  • *sighs* Can't the hate stop? If you don't like Nana then stop watching her videos - period! Lolita fashion is one of the cutest fashion out there and you do need to live the life style it comes with; like whimpy American preps do; dress it and act it. Firther more, their hentai laws have changed alot in the last 20 years.

  • The word Kawaii usually means cute, but could be used to describe a woman who is very pretty. For instance some people think Ayumi hamasaki is Kawaii because she has a somewhat cutesy face with very large eyes and guys think that's sexy. But the word when used to describe oh I dunno Hikaru Utada's music video Boku Wa Kuma would just mean cute. So when Gwen Steffani said in her music video "Supa Kawaii" she meant super hot, but you can tell what's meant when by the inflections in someone's voice.

  • Regarding the comments on page three, lolita the WORD just means lady in french. the style was used a long time ago in france. Gothic Lolita is bringing back that style with a punk or gothic edge so that girls like Nana here can dress both punk and cutesy at the same time.

  • I'm not trying to be rude, but I never heard the word "lolita" for lady, just mademoiselle or mesdames. I'm pretty shure lolita does not mean lady in french. And lolita has never been a style in france, although the lolita style of japan uses inspiration from french styles of the 1800's such as edwardian and childrens victorian clothes.

  • No, mademoiselle means "Miss" and mesdames means "Madam" but Lolita literally means "Lady". But I can see how you can confuse the three since they are all terms for a woman. I lived in Canada for 11 years and was forced to take French classes all the way up until 8 grade so I know. Lolita was definately a style in France, but it was what people OUTSIDE of France called it. I'm sure the French had a more proper name for it but I don't know what that is.

  • They actually got the term Lolita from a book about a man who became obsessed with a young girl named Lolita. So it's actually used to describe a child-like innocence and cutness, with a certain flair depending on the tuype of Lolita it is, but what it literally means, I'm not quite sure. If you really wanna know, look it up, you're already on the internet anyhow.

  • UknownLife, that's one thing that Lolitas really want to clear up. The word Lolita for the fashion does not mean what it means in the book. Lolitas love Alice in Wonderland, not the girl named Lolita in the book, who was a complete slut. Now, I've heard the book is good, but it does not mean that they are related.

As an example, my name is Jean, but I am not named after the pants "Blue Jeans" and vice versa.

  • I know that, I was just saying that she gave off an air of innocence or whatever, and that innocence and naivety is reflected in the style. The style is related to the character in that sense. And obviously you're not named after blue jeans, that's just a stupid reference. You kinda took what I posted out of context. Plus, you really shouldn't speak on behalif of ALL Lolitas.

  • "...you really shouldn't speak on behalif of ALL Lolitas." That's like saying, "Don't say 'singers like to sing' because some dont." Pretty much any true Lolita will deny any intentional connection to the book. The term Lolita (fashion) does not come from the book. You can relate anything in the world you want to. That's what I was trying to show you using the blue jeans example.

  • (continued) I agree there are similarities, but they do not influence each other in any way. Lolita (character) is a promiscuous young girl who people believe is naive and innocent-though she is not. Lolita (fashion) is about dressing modestly and in some cases living a lifestyle of politeness.

(Sorry for the two posts, I just want to get my word in)

ps-thank you for not being one of those crazy people who just cuss out anyone who has a different opinion ^.^ You present good arguments.

  • lol, I was just saying it's similar, good way to fire back though... and thank you, I've been working on not cussing as much

  • "Lolita (character) is a promiscuous young girl who people believe is naive and innocent-though she is not."

I'm sorry, this is totally wrong. Read the book by Vladimir Nabakov. Lolita IS an innocent girl used by a child molester.

  • lolita is also a fashion in japan many lolitas dont know the western meaning of it

  • Lol, noone reads literature on teh internetz! >O And the Gothic Lolita style is really doll-ish. It doesn't have anything to do with a lolita girl like in the novel. >>

  • I don't understand why these comments are being hid O.o it's true it is a fashion in Japan I'm sweet lolita myself. In Japan lolita are girls who are striving for innocence which is why they dress like dolls to try their best to escape the filth of today.

  • actually thats not true lolita in japsn is just a style. true that in amarica its a book but in japan its just a style it has nothing to do with striving for innocence...

  • wait.. what? frisbieinstien, lolita IS a style in japan, and its really cool... im confused what were u saying? lol sorry im not good at understanding things lol

  • you can look up lolita fashion if you think it dosnt exist....

  • yes it dose baka!

  • Lolita isn't french, actually. It's a name coming from the spanish name "Lola" which means sorrows or something, and nobody said it was a french style, either, it has rococo influences but still it is japanese, nobody has worn "Lolita" the same way they do now before.

  • Tout simplement j'ad<3re ^^

chanteuse unique avec plein de talents...

  • She's so cute!!

and i really love how she sings! to me it sounds like she's about to burst into tears but holds it back, and it just sounds awesome! I really really like her songs! ^^

  • this is totally my favoritest video of her :]

i love the song, i love her outfit, i love her voice; everything about the video XD

  • string

  • whats going on?i dont get why is everyone talking about sex in japan?

  • what is she singing about in this one

  • btw. it's funny how the strings are attached to her middle fingers, making it look like she's flipping us off. XD

  • honestly...who'd look up Japanese Sex and Hentai to prove their point that Japan is a sex-crazed community? Is that just an excuse to look it up without regret? Just leave all that nonsense to the experts because it's not our place to criticise them about what they do and not do. Besides, I bet you wouldn't want anyone negatively criticising you for what you do on a regular basis.

  • Haha you just said it. " regular basis " Go look up the Japan Children's rights network noob.

  • Also, Japan is not a "sex-crazed country". It is just a more accepting country, as in, it doesn't make ridiculous attempts to hide it, as we do here in the U.S. Also, the japanese government encourages reproduction so that the country will expand.

However, Japan is a very very very polite country. So they are actually not randomly stripping and riding giant dildos, moron.

1ice1, you are an ass, and if you went to japan you would be shunned, so don't act like ou are the end all of japanese fact

  • You people are pissing me off!!!!

lolia has two definitions: One is a book by nabakov and the other is a fashion style created in Japan. The fashion style is to draw from both rococo and victorian and to give the wearer a girlish look. A proper lolita knows that anything trashy in their clothing is completely unacceptable.

  • Beautiful song ^__^

  • nana est trop belle...

  • muy bueno

  • your the gayest shit >:P and lolita is like victorian clothing get your fashion straight...

    (>.>)

  • Then why don't they just call it Victorian? -_-

  • that part i dk

    maybe to make sound more

cute i mean victorian does sound like a pretty old word ((no offence ppls D:))

  • psh! i bet you dress trashy >:P

  • On the contrary >:p

  • I think its because its victiorian with a twist, back in those days there werent pretty spikes and such.

  • Lolita is victorian fashion for the modern age. Lolita also kind has a nice and positive appeal on young women who inspire to grasp the Japanese fashion industry hard and stick with it. You ahev the Har4ajuku Lolitas of bright glitz and glam then the Gothic Lolitas the dark, pretty, and sophisticated

  • Lolita is NOT about Victorian.

It's about France in 16th century , which are called the Rococo era.

  • Which has also been called the Victorian era...the area of rebirth...its still extended into both eras...

  • Ergh...You two are both right and wrong. And it's not just a style. It's a way of life, for the really hard-core lolitas. The style both focuses on Rococo AND the Victorian eras. Or at least I think so. That's just what I read, so I could be mistaken...

  • No, most lolitas just consider it a fashion NOT a lifestyle. However some have interests in the Victorian and Rococo eras.

  • Which are called? I hope you meant "which is"

  • That definition comes from the book Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

  • I found it in several dictionaries.

  • shut up. that is not the definition of Lolita in Japan, as you damn well know. Quit being such a butthole and learn the Japanese definition for Lolita.

  • uhh ok? I guess I'll just make up my own definition for KAWAII! how about that?

Now, doesn't that sound like a stupid idea? They don't have a different definition for the word. They use it as is. Japan is a sex crazed country anyway so it makes sense.

  • NONE OF YOU KNOW THE DAMN DEFFINITION OF LOLITA! Geezzzz.... Lolita, is a style invented by a rock band, it was an elegent style, and Japan is NOT a sex crazed country, I lived there for most of my damn life, so shut your mouth, Oiran (花魁 Oiran) where prosititutes, not lolita.

  • They had the 9 YEAR OLD girl doing erotic, suggestive things such as, licking a Popsicle and eating ice cream in erotic ways. Watch almost any anime and there will sex related things in it, I bet you 90% will. They even hold fertility festivals.. Think about all the love hotels, sexy shops, etc Japan has a MUCH freer attitude towards sex then most countries. Research it for yourself, just google "sex in Japan", and see what you get...

  • no, I'm not a pervert, some people in Japan are, and they are NOT 9 year olds... they just look young... That or you need to do some studing, doing things such as pedophile or hentai is frowned upon in Japan yet some people still do it, Poiltness is required everywhere even making out in public is consider inhumane and just wrong. They prefer things to be in privacy. Okay? I'm not trying to change your opinion... but sooner or later if you keep saying these things your going to make some one mad

  • what does this have to do with the song or Nana? comment things you wish to post about how its sung or about how cool the video is. gosh Rei has nothing to do with Nana, the song, or the video.

  • You obviously didn't read the posts above? Be more observant " gosh "

  • you need to get off the video if you want to say things like that. this video is awesome and your comments just make me and people get made.

  • I'm not going to take you seriously, you can't even type.

  • Japan is a country that's based on politeness. And 1lce1, listen to the person who's lived in Japan, and can tell you the truth rather than be so dependent on stuff on the internet that *gasp* may not be true!

  • I convinced her so yeah thanks.

  • ...? I was typing fast thank you! you're such a bitch!

  • Yeah well check your messages before posting them? -_-.

  • I love this song...tnx

  • es mi cnatante favporita viva nana kitade

  • its true yet sad

  • Ah,some people really abuse the rating system. Perhaps because you pointed out the negative stuff?I don't see why you'd get a negative.

  • Too true. I guess it's because people don't want to accept the facts about the artists they so much enjoy =\.

  • Actually she writes the lyrics to all her songs... And since she does that she must have made the music to fit the song as well.

  • omg i no american songs cause i live in california and japanese songs arent diferent than americans.......each day they work and some days they have breaks so yea LEARN DAMMIT!

  • so what? we don't need to. Some just like her music.

  • She always looks like a porcilane (sp) doll.

    Her music is good no matter what she sounds like ^^;;

  • this is not crystal kaye..this is nana kitade..well what she use to be before the fuckin industry/fanboys got hold of her career and forced her to make that bubblegum pop shit. she is a rocker so they need to let her rock not fuckin pop. they make her do the fuckin cosplay for the otaku's and fuckin american fanboy's who wish for that in thier wet dreams. stop fuckin hindering her real skillz with that shit. protest like any real fan would that she is playin that shit.

  • crystal music videos usaully ain't made by the person singing it and they dress in what the people what there

  • I agree with Vintpunk

  • Jessicalh17, perfect example of the ignorant American stereotype (< Key word here) that soulcalibur33 is aiming at.

Dressing like a 'doll' isn't meant to be 'sexy', Jessicalh17. Jeez.

crystal, relax, why are you so offended? I'm American too :/ She didn't mean ALL Americans.

  • Americans can't understand what mean to be Gothic Lolita style.. they thinks that is about Sexy things. and True gothic lolita have nothing to do with 'sex' . English and Americans are OBESSESSED by sexual things... every song, movie or even dress is about Sex. Poor peoples.

    -x-

Couldn't have said it better. I like the style, and I know it is NOT about being sexy. It's about who you ARE. Being nice to people, doing courteous things-that's a true lolita.

  • dude shove a stick up your ass you no nothing about lolita

  • Stupid shut up.

    I'm an american

and that's not how I roll.

I respect my body thank you very much.

  • Ok, so you respect... You are rare in america.. but that's dont change that in you r dear america there's TOO MUCH DIRTY videos, and people who talks about SEX SEX SEX... is disgustiong... every movie, every song...i don't talks about people like you, OK? But the most. and you can't deny this.

  • um most americans arent like that, but we all have our own opinions

  • You cant judge a very large diverse group of people by the opinion of a few of them! Thats truly ignorance, how would you like it if i said all people in your country are ignorant, bcuz of one comment you made? Think about it.

  • finally sum1 who knows,thnx ^_^

  • Well, she does suck at lip syncing. But it could be worst. She could suck at singing too, but thank goodness she doesn't! lol

I love Nana, bad lip syncing or not!

  • just remember that it's rerecorded and the sound could be off...

  • Yeah that's true. And I reallydon't think her lipsyncing is all that bad. Some people really do judge her for that. But like I said, it could be worse. At least she's a good singer!

  • I love her voice, and this song, but I just have to say- she sucks a lip syncing...

  • What ever she is singing, she should sing it here in the states.

I'm sure it would a hit here.

  • For some reason, this song calms me down when I'm mad...
