ok you say hit M to mark the sound you want to save now is this for all windows because its not working with windows 7. and could you plz show how you got to the drum kits window to save the sound? because ive tryed everything. what am i doing wrong?i did load a sample and all that but the "M" shortcut dose not work.
anyway could you show how yoou got to the save drums file and how to work it. plzzzzz.
@taahdah Hey maybe this will make it easier. Step 1: Load Song you want to chop into Edison. Step 2: find part of the song you would like to use and Highlight it red. Step 3: on the top right of Edison there is a button that looks like a cursor pointing on a piece of paper, Click this and Hold...Step 4: Drag the sample into SliceX editor which can be opened from the add channel tab or by right clicking any instrument and clicking REPLACE then SLICEX. Step 5: Step 5: select anything then hit M
I saw your other video about recording your sound to fl studio, I downloaded vocodex and asio4all but asio4all show on the mixer but I can't click on it to ectivate it, please help
Mr. Simple. I've been using Reaper for a daw for 3 years. I like it alot, moslty for the ease of importing vst's. I was using the slicex vst demo just to get familiar with it. Now I recently bought FL studio producer for the purpose of using slicex. However I can't figure out how to open it in reaper. I do have the FL loaded and I can see it on the vst list when opening in reaper midi track. I only want slicex by itself as a vst, not the whole FL program. Any thoughts?? thanks
@D84D You need the slices vst plugin, which is a separate purchase. You could have bought the slicex plugin if thats all you wanted, same with edison, there is a vst version as well.
@wordplay13 Yes, this is possible. You can use Edison to pretty much record ANY sound being played inside of FL Studio. The best way to do this is to add Edison to the MASTER Mixer Insert Track. You'll then notice that any and all audio playing in FL Studio will route through into the Edison instance that you've added.
@PictureOnSilence77 Hi, go to Channels > Add One > then find SliceX. I believe SliceX was added in version 9 (possibly 8) so make sure you are running the latest version of FL Studio.
Over the past six years I have collected and captured a very large diverse collection of sample C.D's/ Loop Kits/ Loop C.D's/ Tutorials and much more. I have all the factory sounds from every drum machine made in the last 20 years including the AKAI MPC range with MPC programmes.
@Drpegslyson edison is a "fx" plug in to be put in the effects channels. Slicex is a VST instrument to be used instrument channels. The effects channel are located in FX window and the instrument channels are always located on the sequencing window. The process here shows the Slicex being used as a loop slicing export tool which can convolute it's main function which is to assign drums sounds to a midi note. If you dont understand this VST I would recommend the fruity slicer to start with.
question: how do copyright laws come into play with this bomb ass tool? I just found it last week and I like using it not only for drums but the melody parts too--I've done a Haydn symphony, Brown Eyed Girl, and Country Grammar not even kidding where it's a totally new beat but sorta "reminiscent" of the old song. I'm thinkin this could be a big deal and people would like it, but again, what do you know of copyright stuff + SliceX? thanks for the video, helped last week during Discovery mode
is it possible to save the regions/markers as one wav file so when i reload it in a sampler channel and i go to piano roll that all the markers are still chopped up in the piano roll or is the only option i have is to use the fpc and load all the individual samples in that to be able to play them in piano roll
Hi, I wanted to know what screen capture software you used, as I have trouble finding one that is good plus you have cool effects in this video such as zooming onto the mouse pointer and also "text notes" that you can put into the videos. That's exactly what I am searching for.
dude if your on line still i'll like to ask a question on fl studio,,,when you do a recording it comes up as a green bar sometimes when you record stuff you might have an extra space on the green bar how do you remove the extra space so that the recording can be precise thankx
Do you mean when you're recording audio into FL Studio? Are you using the MICVOX template? Or are you talking about SliceX sampling? If you're on Skype we can speak directly on there. Search for Wallholder.
Within the Piano Roll where you've layed down the MIDI there is a slice (Exacto Knife) icon tool that should allow you to cut that extra part. It will turn PINK, then press the delete key on your keyboard.

@D84D Does Reaper support Rewire? If so, then you may want to consider using that technology. Sorry for the late response.
