Man i just love how he explains it....not even just the video alone...how he explains things are the key....some people leave out how and why but he covered it...the only thing i was unsure if i wanted to do or not was his watering system....he says he doesnt allow water to run out the bottom....me i like to soak the entire medium with nutrient water. i have always been told soaking the dirt instead of giving it small amounts of water more often is better, does this really matter??

I currently utilize marijuana for schizophrenia and have a small plant that is starting to get denser in the bud sites by the day, I'm worried about the frosts though, seeing as it is October already, and she's just a tiny little thing with some very dense bud sites (I believe she's a White Rhino plant, I grew from germinated seeds and she's the only one that survived past a tiny sproutling, and shows all the qualities of a WR plant that I've seen in pics online so far).I really hope she lives.

@shank4420 Indoor grow ops *CAN* produce a better quality bud, *IF* you know what you're doing and have the time, money, and effort to put into setting up the operation, however, for someone who is using it for personal medicinal use, and has some time to tend to the plants, you can get just as good of a bud, if not better from an outdoor grow op as you'd get from an indoor op. Climate is a big factor too of course, some climates just aren't built to grow anything in...like Siberia :P

drying: hanging the whole plant upside down without leaves for 10 days.

curing: cutting off the buds after the 10 days and putting them in a jar for 1 month minimum, the longer the better... this is for better taste, smell, feel, effect, etc.

While I may not agree with some of the things you did for growing (which is all a matter of personal preference). I do agree that making an ass of yourself will not prove a point.

My only concern is there was no mention or opening the jar for the 1st few days to a week (or longer). If you really are sealing a mason jar that early after drying and just leaving it, I would worry about mold. Does the vacuum sealing help with that?

heat lamps are not required. You want light, not heat. Save the heat lamp for the lizards who like them better than plants. ;). 400 watt hps will do just nicely for you.

What a shame. All that work goes up in smoke. A fact remains, burning marijuana is the worst thing you can do, if you are desiring marijuana for medical purposes. Consume the derived plant oil, make a steeped tea, but don't burn it. Also, when you inhale the burned material, you are ingesting all kinds of unwanted byproducts. Marijuana = awesome plant. Interrupted dark cycles can lead to confusion and hence, seedy buds. I believe thats half the "bagseed".

I guess if you really fucked with their dark cycles this could hinder or force flowering - Depends how much light and for how long, as far as a plants knows when its light, its day, and when its dark, its night.

So yeah, don't grow in your backyard next to a street light or anything like that hehe

nice to see this going down in hawaii, i live on kauai and im gonna start a new crop probably tomorrow, do u know the time of year that the sun is at its peak hours a day in hawaii? im trying to plant them so when they sprout they can go into full blown veg and absorb as much sun as possible till the light cycle starts getting shorter i the following months after summer,im growing some type of purple strain (bagseed), a diesel hybrid and a strain called juicy fruit kush from maui

bagseed could be a disastrous choice on such small islands...

bagseed is normally from hermaphrodites and therefore has a higher chance of become a hermaphrodite...

this could lead to unknown male flowers and unwanted pollination... and this can suck for your neighbors of you arent careful.. i bet there are a lot of crops on your island and pollen floats far...

but then again some of the best strain genetics were maintained because of bagseed so its your choice.

i started growing my 2nd crop today, my first crop worked out great but this time i am planting at the very start of winter and at a different spot. I live in Brisbane Australia so we have no snow and it will still be about 20 degrees (70F) at the coldest part of winter, however it isnt very humid and theres not much rain

the leaves that are as big as your hand..a re called fan leaves.. they have verry little tch in them.. but can be used to make hashish and oil from.. the leaves closer to the bud.. the ones that are nice and tight.. can get you high.. but not as intense of a stone as the bud.. and it tastes bad :P

dont run anything... at all... bes way is to dry it for around 7-10 days untill its dry and has no tack.. after about 7 days i like to pick a big beefy bud and bust it up if its still damp give it a few more days... i dry my dope and a pitch black room with verry little air movement.. i turn on a fan at the bottom of the closet simply to circulate air... i cure in glass jars for another week and a half - 2 weeks
