  • i love bibios music

  • why cant this loop...forever.

  • The whole song is a one giant into

  • I LOVE the old sound of all of Bibio's songs.

  • Wtf is this shit. Wheres the electrosoul. This sounds like a soundtrack for mummi

  • @rubbn95 you my friend do not understand beauty and art in a form of music, go and listen to faithless or whatever nonsense it is you listen to you...

  • @callmebanks i really have a good understanding for music, but this and the video is just some random nostalgic shit that i don't like. theres no melody, and i don't like the sounds either.

i dont listen to fithless.. thanks

  • @rubbn95 There is actually ONLY melody. Anyway, I can respect your opinion on this track, everyone his own!

  • its "to each his own" ........... dumbass

  • @ferankferd Thanks for correcting me, almighty one

  • This touches me deeply. Extremely dreamlike, nostalgic, melancholy, etc. Unbelievable, I would say.

  • Life is a wonder!

  • The video is directed by Bibio.

  • 1:58 - cover of Bibio's album Fi?

    Cool!!!

  • Sounds a bit like Squarepusher's Tommib and Boards of Canada of course )))

  • isso é lindo.

  • freemason?

  • I love the opening colour tones!!!! Some informational vids and programs on public television from the 70s would begin with them. Love and miss them!!

  • So dope

  • reminds me of American Beauty

  • What is the logotype at the beginning?

  • @alcohalls it's the Artists Valley Logo, designed by Bibio. Artists Valley is a collective of musicians from Wolverhampton.

  • @BudeMuelle

    Thanks.

  • This music, together with this clip, is one of the most beautiful things I've ever experienced.

  • so awesome. anyone who actually listens to Bibio knows how diverse and great his music is.

  • I like it a lot.

  • The video and music are so reminiscent of BoC, it's astounding. I'm glad to see other artists are moving in that direction musically~

  • I thought it said "Tom"

  • yep thought it was tom too.

  • I like this.

  • i love this. so beautiful

  • through the looking glass

  • Warp records releases good stuff.

  • OMG sounds like B.o.C 5/5

I like all those guys..tycho,boc and bibio.

  • Me too, anyone else know of anything else in a similar vein?

Incidentally, Bibio does have more varied stuff. Ambivalence Avenue and Fire Ant, for example, are completely different in feel to this kind of thing. Definitely worth checking out. He's more diverse than some people are giving him credit for.

If I had to draw comparisons form all things I've heard so far I'd have to place him somewhere alongside artists like BOC, Prefuse 73, Blockhead and Clark. He definitely has his own style though.

  • "Farewell Mining Town" by Clark, "Primary Balloon Landing", Clark, "El Camino Real", William Basinski, "Bewley in Red", Bibio, "Bewley in GRey", Bibio, "Open The Light", Boards of Canada. I love this stuff but these are some of my favs in a similar cosmic vein.. :)

  • Hey nice! Cheers man, I'll have a browse... thanks again.

  • You'll like Lusine too.

  • I love this so much itslike fair ground music over the hill heard on the traveling breeze

  • love the intro!

  • Why is it such an awful thing to have another artist that can capture warm beauty? Boards of Canada, Bibio, Tycho... they're all good in their own way despite similarities. I say bring on more. Get off your musically elitist high horse and either enjoy it or don't listen to it.

  • Tycho is terrible, pure BoC ripoff!

  • Apparently, my point was lost on you. *condescending pat on head* It'll be alright.

  • I like Bibio, but Tycho is pure trash imo.

  • Comment removed

  • Hell yes. I'm with you on this one buddy.

The more the merrier as long as they capture that feeling.

  • Also, bibio is from my home town! Hooray! Finally, something good from this shithole...

  • and... who says people can't criticize? just cause you get your panties in a bunch because someone is shit talking a band you like doesn't mean that your opinion is any more valid than theirs.. if anything, yours is going to just be bias in favour of them. it's called constructive criticism for a reason.

  • @AnalogCowboy and... who says people can't criticize? just cause you get your panties in a bunch because someone is shit talking a band you like doesn't mean that your opinion is any more valid than theirs.. if anything, yours is going to just be bias in favour of them. it's called constructive criticism for a reason.

  • @ferankferd Of course it's bias. That's what opinions are.

    And what exactly was constructive?

  • Hey, if it works it works. When many artists start doing similar things, it either becomes known as a movement or a genre. I don't understand what is wrong with most of the people that other label as posers or unoriginal. What if rock n roll stopped with Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, & Chuck Berry, & no one was allowed to emulate them? Is Chopin just a rip off of John Field, well yeah maybe but who cares. They both had much to contribute to the romantic era, & im glad Chopin took Field to new places.

  • I agree that under this light, searching and experimenting the genre, i can appreciate their work. Waiting to see and hear their masterpieces unshaded by the BoC legacy.

  • This is sooooo Boards of Canada. I love it. Is there some connection between Bibio and Boards Of Canada that I am not aware of?

  • They're on a label with doseone who's done some remixes with Boards of Canada but I'm not sure.

  • Who was the person who did the remixes?

As far as I know there isn't a definite connection with Bibio and BoC aside from the latter being heavily influential on the former.

  • Bibio is a huge fan. Sent a tape of his to BoC. BoC liked it so much they asked Mush to sign him, and that became his first album "fi" on Mush. I would assume they keep in touch a bit.

  • they're labelmates now that Bibio is on Warp

  • think a member of boards of canada helped him on a later project after this on warp, not sure though.

  • Lovely piece.

  • That was beautiful. I haven't heard this record yet, though. I don't know why not, either! :(

  • Er, probably because it had only recently came out when I posted that... okay.

  • well, I'm almost certain that beyond our confined ability to hear those sounds occur in nature and are audible without musical instruments.

  • awesome! come to Poland man !

  • This is my favorite bibio piece so far. I particularly like the way the time-lapse meteorology brings out the beautiful apathy that the world seems to have for our endeavors.

  • well put

  • New bibio album out on monday...

Don't know about you lot, but I've been waiting for this for months!

  • the perfect match between the musical atmosphere and the small beautiful things in life that are put on film so delicately almost brings tears to my eyes. Bibio is so talented.

  • beyond words

  • Wonderful, atmospheric track, too bad it's so short. And that is one beautiful lo-fi video.

  • Amazing. All I have to say.
