I can explain that. It's actually a fact of Life. The Coolest are usually Wanton Simplistic in Nature, born with the ability to Kick ass in manner, speech, action, dress, and tone without really trying. This is Raven in a Sum, Cause he dresses like world-weary, bone-Beaten perverted Old Man with awesome archery. However, it's exactly THOSE kinds of characters in the Tales series that piss me off. Either way...

@dreborn53 from Tales of Destiny, off the top would be Leon/Lion. Tales of Legendia had a moment in game where Chloe tried to betray the team. Zelos from Tales of Symphonia betrayed the team in order to see which side truly was to side on. And a lot of characters from Tales of Rebirth went berserk from the powers they had. The list goes on.

Right on. I HATE it when this happens. We get a super nice, super cool character, but somewhere along the way we figure out he's actually a wicked badass, then you FIGHT him, and then he sacrifices himself, and probably dies. The Creator of the tales series really know how to just piss you off.

yes but it expands the story behind that character, making the cahracter seem more interested, and we learn about how raven knows about the battle between entelexia and the humans, it just makes him seem more developed

According to the Japanese manual, he's 35. So yeah, mid-30's. Though you gotta remember, in JRPGs usually the heros aren't out of their teens. Yuri is the oldest hero I've seen in a while (at 21!). At 25 you're getting up there. 35 is practically ancient. :P
