Brandon, Kaneisha and Latisha are members of the Youth Council of Memphis Youth That Care, which is affiliated with TN Voices for Children/ JustCare Family Network. The Youth Council have chosen to focus on infant mortality as their cause because Memphis is #1 in the U.S. in infant mortality, which directly impacts young people living in poverty. They also chose an issue that was local as well as global.
