I have to say there have actually been more Ash + Misty signs than there ever have been Ash + May or Dawn. Besides, the creators themselves have admitted they've always liked the idea of Ash+Misty.

If I can also say; there's never been any sort of indicator of Ash having any sort of inclination of romantic feelings towards either of the aforementioned females.

Misty on the other hand, well, take your pick. My favorite is the Maiden's Peak episode.
