  • Am I the only one baffled by the stupidity of the comments underneath???

  • @azngirlchibi

The designer of this dance is also a HAN Chinese called Dongfeng Ma, we have

many dancing universities in China, the students not only learn different ethnic dances of China, they also learn dances from different countries in the world. The students are from different enthnic groups of China, but most of them are HAN Chinese. So you can't tell which ethnic group the dancers are come from only by the dancing style. Because HAN Chinese can design and dance any ethnic style dances.

  • @azngirlchibi

BTW, the dancers are from Sichuan Province of China, they are not from tibet.

  • @tiezi00 Err, yes, that was my point. It shouldn't matter what ethnic group they came from - What should matter is the fact that they put their heart and soul into the dance. It's just that, shall we say, certain Han vs. Tibetan comments below had me completely baffled that such pettiness could actually come from a human being's mouth.

  • @azngirlchibi

Because many people say they are tibetans, I just want them know, they are mixed of different ethnics, most of them are HAN. Any dancing schools in China can design and dance like that.

  • The Dancers are HAN Chinese from Sichuan singing and dancing performing Academy, They win first place in CCTV national dance competition. You can easily tell they are HAN Chinese instead of Tibitans from their face if you know a little bit of Chinese ethnics. The music is a mix of HAN and Tibet.

By the way, Sichuan is a province famous to produce beautiful Chinese ladies. Many Super Girl Competition top Winners are from Sichuan province, Jane Zhang is one of them.

  • 舞蹈動作設計有藏族味,但图像不夠清晰。

  • Cute ^^

  • A Han Chinese music student visited the town of Kangding, then the capital of Xikang province (today's western Sichuan), in the 1940s to entertain a group of local Tibetan soldiers who were shipping out with the Kuomintang Army to fight Japanese in Burma. He composed this song based on local Tibetan music. Today, this song is the most popular love song in China.

  • are they tibetan, so beautiful...

  • it mixed culture elements of both han and tibetan.

  • 情绪高昂~服装真靓

  • 我爱中国!!

  • Great dance! The song that used in the dance is my favourite too.I love the way that they express the song by using modern tibet dance.I also glad to see that han culture has been put into tibet dance.Well done!

  • This dance not only went far from Tibetan dance, but also misused the song, which was originated from Han folk music. Whoever the chorographer was for this dance knows very little about Western Chinese culture. What a shame!

  • u r right. there're even sort of can-can elements.

  • Juz saw ths pce of "Kang Ding" Tibet dance on Sat Indoor stadium.....Cool!!! Beautiful!!! Excellent!!!

  • I would pay to see a show like this, it wasn't the traditional Chinese dance.

  • this is the 2nd best Tibetan dance that i love most after "Song of washing clothes" a long long time ago. I love it very much. thanks for the beautiful dance.

  • Stop these chain letters, I destroy the one's I get in the snail mail, consider this one destroyed, they cause nothing but heartache to the sensitive and accasionly cause people to commit suicide. So the buck stops here.

  • Yeah. I agaree. But one year ago I was rather weak minded. So well, now I know better. Lovely dance! My second favourite after 临水 actually. I first saw it when I was watching the 2005 chinese new year show. And it still remains in my memory.

  • LAYGPOT, just becaues your slaver owners doesn't allow people to dance like this before doesn't mean this is not a tibetan dance. Sorry, the new tibet have moved on and left you guys behind.

  • Their hair looks awesome!

  • laygpot...you can't STOP people from calling this a tibetan dance...i predict that plenty of people will continue calling this a tibetan dance whether the term is accurate or not.

  • You have every freedom to perform this dance or any other dance on this planet. As a victim of Chinese occupation, I respect your freedom all the more. But I resent people calling this dance Tibetan, when it is more Chinese than Tibetan. Most Tibetan girls do not dance like this and those who do do so under Chinese influence. I recognise your right to dance in any way, even to strip tease, but you cannot call this a Tibetan dance, because it is simply not!

  • It's the same thing with the Sinkiang region of China, formerly Turkistan. It is now occupied by China and they perform Chinese dances and songs, but it is very markedly Middle-Eastern sounding. Such is the way of war.

  • Yo laygpot

  • As a Tibetan, and one born and raised in Tibet, I can say that there is nothing Tibetan about much of this song and dance. It is a perfect example of how the Chinese want to turn Tibetan culture into. The only thing Tibetan is the few seconds of Tashi Nyima's singing in Amdo Tibetan. The dancing girls might just as well be those ubiquitious Chinese prostitutes.

  • excuse me laygpot but my dance school does this dance and I have a lead, and im sorry if it does not represent how you want tibet to be, but i LOVE this dance with a passion as i also have the lead, and i'd prefer it if i wasn't called a hooker dancing this.

  • Well said, Tibet is a part of China now and so if you its up to tibetan people to teach the chinese about tibetan ways and over sea's tibetans really need to relax and accept that tibet is now chinese.

  • wow, i've long heard that tibetans are very kind and pure...i guess what i believed is wrong. they hate Han people, part of Chinese.

  • fuck han

  • Fuck tibetan. with your long and horse-like face, man, what an ulgy race. and talk like baboons too.

  • @why123 hahahahahaha u Chinese sayin Tibetans talk like baboons?!?!?

u sub-human Chinese have small dicks, small eyes, small vagina u have a small version of every part of normal human body.

  • you made my day, bitch. small dicks? Tibetan baboons and indian has the smallest dicks, go see the statistics. Han Chinese has the average size, that is less small dicks than many white people, though we have less over size penis.

yes, you talk like baboons, look like baboons, and eat like a dog. use your hand to eat shit.

fucking tibetans are not even human, you are just dogs of the white people and your "da lie lama".

  • @why123 bullshit comes out of ur mouth. Han have smallest dicks in the world.

  • it seems like you ate shit before you talk. if you are so stupid and could not bare to read a thing, then go back home and fuck your mother. oh wait, you have a small dick and you share your wife with your own brother. so two small dicks fucking one baboon.

  • it's funny that a stupid baboon from tibet say Han has the smallest dicks. you don't even know biology, you don't even know anything from reading. try to hurt us by saying shit like this? haha!! your pretty women is slaves of us Han now. why? b/c you are poor, ugly, and has no rights~~fuck yea~ you have no rights anywhere in the world. only white trash using you as dogs to hurt us. but you can't hurt a thing~~ because we conqure you.

  • @why123 ur Han woman love Japanese and white men.

  • i know a lot of Tibetan girls also love white trash. it's okay if they like Japanese, b/c i love Japanese too. the number of tibet girl marrying white pigs are growing as well. what now?

  • only a number of Tibetan girls in exile marry white guys. n they dont marry Japanese guys.

  • I am talking about the girls in tibet. not the exile.

I know also a tibetan girl in Japan is dating a Han, on facebook by the way.

anyways, you have a great day.

  • @why123 than he must be a pro-Tibet Han.

  • Comment removed

  • @why123 number of Tibetan girls marrying whites is NOT growing fast. only about 0.00001%.

  • @why123 Chinese languages are like language monkey or chicken or shit.

  • keep barking, dog. we own your land, now what? keep crying~ hahaha! you have no home, woohoo~~

and your southern part of Tibet handed to the fucking Indians by your Da lie lama. suck my average chinese dick now, you below average small dick. come to the northern part of China, we will fuck your women right.

  • tell yo mama to suck my average Han Chinese dick, you fucking dog of the west. we conquer you, so what? go and cry to the world. at least we don't slave you retards like your Da lie Lama.

  • Does the tibetans themselves know that there are nomad peoples live near kham region that speak tibetan? and they were these cowboy like hats.

Remember to Han people until now tibetan culture meant the tibetans in KHAM(Kang) region in modern day sichuan or even Qinhai but not TAR.

  • its more modern tibetan im guessing. because they deal a lot with horses and stuff so im guessing thats why they ahve the hat

  • ok...what's this? -_-'

  • wats with the cowboy hats???

  • The style is Tibetan. That's what is meant when it says it's a Tibet dance. The sway, the dragging of the foot, all of that is uniquely Tibetan.

  • Whatever does this have to do with Tibet or dance?

  • ye, it is not authentic in the anthropological sense.
