@DejayJustice Sorry, but definitely wrong...NYPD used to use Mark7's, then IIRC there were a few PA300's (differed from normal PA300's in that the manual function went peak and hold with immediate drop off) and have now used SS2000's exclusively in conjunction with the Smart Vector lightbars.

Is that a NYPD Special, Vision Keypads dont have that many options for sirens and the Priority button is either priority or Hi-lo this has both AND the famous NYPD fast yelp.

Has there ever been any actual research on weather it's more effective to just let the automatic siren go continuously though its cylcle, or to keep pressing the manual siren? I would imagine that a continuous siren would be more effective, but some people claim that the manual siren is actually more of an attention getter. Just curious if there is any actual research behind this, or everyone just uses whatever siren sounds they personally prefer.

Thanks for posting this video. This explains how the NYPD can do so much when clearing an intersection. PD units around here usually just wail or sometimes alternate between the ultra yelp and air horn. Sounds really good though.

Not on this one, I don't think so. But a lot of FDNY engines have a Federal Signal PA300 Siren in them.
