I don't know. But I do know, that any war is waste of people, pain and suffering.... and I do know, that this song is one of the most emotional ones. Personally, I must say that it is one of those songs that I do like most, because of the melody, chords, speed and the "story" behind it, the way the composer was affected, influenced - what is deep emotional background one can hear inside those notes.
I've seen some of your videos and I loved them all. I'm just starting to play accordion (self learning), do you know any good method books for staring out? I've been looking for something with scales, chords, progressions, studes, etc, all in one place. Thank you for your great videos :)
I have to say that I am not the right person to answer this question because I learned to play the accordion by a professional teacher. Selflearning-people very often refer to "Palmer Hughes Accordion".... but you better search other videos here, different sources or contact different players who have extended selflearning-experience. I prefer a teacher anyways.
Danke !
- Danke -
Playing this song with emotion is an absolute must. I'm glad that you said you can hear that emotional playing - it is not always easy to perfom that audience "hears" emotional playing, even if one did so.... and due to the fact, that I did not want to overdo that emotional thing... but you are expert (accordionist) - you do know what you talk about !
And yes, for sure it is an amazing, fascinating melodie.
Wunderschön gespielt.....alle Achtung!!! Viele liebe Grüße aus Canada....Michel

I knew this song in the earthquake last year in China, quite a good and impressive one. Will God really pity those suffering?
