  • can this model work in zero gravity??

  • 11 sec Perpetuum Mobile - wow!

  • relax people, it's not free energy. it harnesses the power of the rotation of earth to keep the pendulums swinging. a pendulum swinging back and forth will eventually start swinging in a circle and that's how the machine works.

  • @aomimezura11 thanks for telling me that. i was wondering how that worked.

  • well larry have you made one?

  • Of course, what isn't shown is the initial force used to get the pendulums to start swinging in the first place. Eventually friction would cause them to stop, and the ball would then stop rolling.

  • who speak about perpetual motion between us?

no, english is not my first language of course.

teach me some kind of energy that can't be assimilate to some kind of movement and i may change my point of view, i'm a knowledge seeker.

  • @Kctsu I believe that movement is the presence of energy. energy causes movement. I personally believe that energy has its source in another dimension.

  • @888WulfDog888

you are not the first one to believe light is the closest thing to energy (i was)

    i don't think energy has a reality.

Don't forget that it is human that creates this word, but as it is something hard to understand because it has no body and no image, i think that with time, it became something mystical and hidden somewhere causing things to happen in our mind

light is photon, so it is also some kind of movement from my point of view.

    matter is also "movement"

  • @Kctsu Light is not photon, light is produced by the 'movement' of the photon see? if the photon stops moving the light stops! My latest study is in the field of 'heat is not energy' but rather a transfer medium, energy causes movement which transfers via heat. Heat is an element the four elements: 'fire' wind' 'earth' 'water' all transfer mediums of energy but not energy within themselves. the fifth element 'light' this is where we enter the fifth dimension. watch the hadron collider!

  • @Kctsu they are trying to effect a transdimensional reaction because they know darn well that energy is coming from another dimension. we enter into antimatter as the reciprocal and no doubt that is the dimension to where spent energy returns. Google 'anti matter around the earth' since they have been doing these experiments there has been an unprecedented build up of anti matter ringing the earth. Antimatter is not supposed to be able to exists in our dimensions. this is bad news coming

  • @888WulfDog888

    The 4 elements :o

no such thing exist, it is a wrong idea from what is build matter.

do you know history about elements?

why can't antimatter exist in our dimensions as we can produce it and capture it?

there is nothing bad about antimatter presence around the earth

what you are saying about energy is becoming somekind of "mystical", i don't really look for this kind of answer.

you don't see that you're also confirming my point of view of energy with your words XD

  • @Kctsu the four elements where observed by primitive man in recognition of the fact that energy was not a 'thing' they observed this phenomena eons ago. We cannot collect antimatter its dissipates the instant it comes into contact with matter, that's what they are trying to do at the large hadron collider. Energy is mystical by nature that is why they are spending 100's of millions of dollars to conduct trans dimensional experiments to try and find out what the source is. It is cause.

  • @888WulfDog888

Antimatter is used in medecine, particle accelerator is not the only thing on earth that produce antimatter.

The 4 elements were established before human begin to think about energy.

The 4 elements, that were suppose to be the base component of all matter, do not exist

This idea of the 4 elements is a misunderstanding of nature. It represents another thing linked to energy but, maybe i'm the only one who think about the 4 elements like this xd

any element is the 4 elements.

  • that would pisss me offf

  • amazing i have lot respect for people who can make this kind of things

  • @devastaterd they havent made anything lol... they've made a fancy child's toy and nothing more

  • do want one

  • NEVER

  • The only way we can create close to perpetual motion is to somehow tap into the earths energy, if we can figure out how to do this then we will have energy for as long as the earth exists. It can be simulated in a totally useless way at cretain magnetic points around the globe. If we can figure out how to harness the energy that creates lightning storms then we have something. Some people believe that this has already been achieved by the Americans following on from the Nazi's

  • @888WulfDog888 the earth produces no energy itself... the source of all energy on earth comes from the sun in one way or another

  • @Xero555000

earth produce energy itself, it's heart is still hot and tectonic plate movement is not generate by the sun.

Volcanos do not explode because of the sun as well.

Planetes produce energy. Magnetic field is one of the expresion of their own work.

  • @Kctsu nope earth do not produce energy earth loses very slowly energy the effect you see is the slowly cooling process...

  • @Carnatics Yes but the effects of the process is the outward production of usable energy.

  • @Carnatics

in a way ,we can say the sun do exatly the same thing

    it is losing energy.

The only true difference between planet and star is size, star size give them huge gravity allowing them to lose energy at least one way more than planet do, by fusing atomes and loosing mass.

  • @Kctsu no... the reason that the core of the earth is molten is because not all of the heat from the earth's creation has been dissipated. Maybe some heat comes from radioactive fission... but it's negligible compared to the rest of that heat. And the magnetic field is caused because the core of the earth is mostly iron... which is ferromagnetic... dumbass

  • @Xero555000

I know all of this. you simply do not understand my point of view.

i did not speak about nuclear reaction for earth

    mass is energy

producing energy is to lose energy anyway

show me something that produce energy and that is not losing it

    you will find nothing

Stars just like planets have a precise amount of energy, stars just have more way than planets to lose it.

And when stars become neutron star or white dwarf, they re just like planets, simply losing slowly their internal heat.

  • @Kctsu You're really stupid... lol

  • @Xero555000

That 's what stupide people said when they have nothing to say anymore.

    maybe....

    you're close mind.

Do you simply know that energy do not really exist?

it's a human concept that has no true existance in nature.

the word the most close to explain energy true meaning is : movement

  • @Kctsu Wrong. Movement is not energy. The fact that you think that only proves that you have no idea what energy is. Energy has so many definitions and implications it's impossible to put into a single word. I do believe in energy. That wasnt what I said... how about you use some prepositions or something because reading your posts sounds like they're coming from a 4th grader.

  • @Xero555000

    it is

movement or movement potentiel, everything is here.

as far as what i ve learned about all form of energy. this is the simpliest way to give it an unique definition. Movement is in every form of energy (cinetic, potential, chemical, nuclear), that is my conclusion for now about the meaning of this word.

i do not know any kind of energy that can't be movement or potential movement.

i think 4th grader year think energy is some kind a immaterial light plasma that can be touched

  • @Kctsu Movement of movement potential... listen you're out of your league buddy. No such thing as perpetual motion, and english must not be your first language is it

  • @Kctsu I disagree, the word that comes closet to explaining energy is light!

  • @Xero555000 Not true, that is an evolution fable invented to try and explain away entropy. That's no longer accepted by evolutionists, check Daniel Styer's (evolutionist) calculations on the matter. The earth has an immense amount of energy being radiated out from within, its in the IR and near IR band among other types . The cause of it is only 43% known now to be radioactive fuel within, No one knows what accounts for the other 57% (but some have a pretty good postulation)

  • @888WulfDog888 was that english? Explain away entropy what the hell are you talking about, nobody every tried to explain it away lol... and i'm not even talking about evolution you stupid quack

  • @Xero555000 Your view of scientific principles and truths is skewed, as is most other peoples because in order to maintain the integrity of the theory of evolution and the hundreds of postulations that are generally considered to be scientific fact, head in the sand techniques are be employed.

Mainstream science is just a big fat wrought.

The Earth is radiating huge amounts of energy, it is not from the sun nor was it ever from the sun. It is being generated at the core.

  • How did I get from puppies to magic to cell phones to perpetual motors!?!?!?

  • Its' no perpetuum mobile, but long time funkcion ... :) Genial!

  • Here is a real one . It use several rings . Because if you use only one . It changes the field after closing the ring .

    AND VERY EASY TO CREATE >>> : w w w (DOT)leviathan(DOT)free(DOT)bg

  • And who can prove that it is perpetual motion, video last 10 sekund.Ofigennaya you forever А кто докажет что это вечный двигатель,видео длиться 10 секунд.Офигенная у вас вечность

  • Why so short? Did it already stop after 12 seconds? ^

  • @80sMeavyHetal Do you want to spend the rest of your life watching something roll around? Maybe he would make it an hour long, and you would say only an hour? But still, he should make a live stream of it, though I wouldnt watch it constantly, I'm sure others would to make sure.

  • CO ZA ASY

  • It's just like a clock, a swinging pendulum of a large mass converses its inertia for a long time. Ball bearings have very low friction but eventually the friction of all the moving parts will consume all the inertia in the pendulum

  • @327yellow like i said the pendulums are goin off the rotaion of the earth

  • i think we learned about this in science.... i dont know i wasn't paying attention :/ sweet vid btw....

  • For our purposes, if it keeps going until the earth stops moving, its good enough. It doesn't need to go any longer than that because we won't be here to care.

  • @laboheme8 just because it goes forever doesnt mean its capable of performing work.. we we tried to harness that work it would stop... perpetual motion doesnt mean something is moving perpetually... it means something is producing infinite work.. newton's first law says that a body in motion will stay in motion "perpetually" as long as no other unbalanced forces act upon the body

  • @Xero555000 friction*

  • @RedDevilFan10 ok... yes that is a word... friction actually does work though... negative work... uniform circular motion IE orbiting bodies... do 0 work... and friction is an unbalanced force Red

  • @Xero555000 Yeah I know... I meant that it isn't going to go forever

  • It will keep going on like that until the lil' steel ball has buried a way through the metal things it's rolling on and then it stops! oh mah gawd, I'm smart.

  • No

  • Its driven by a rotating magnet in the base that keeps the pendulums moving.

  • Why am i reminded of Dumbledore's office

  • In short, if energy can leave the machine in any way at all, it is not a perpetual motion machine(Energy leaves this machine via friction, despite it being small amounts at a time.) The simplest example of a Perpetual Motion *system* is two objects, orbiting each other in a complete vacuum with no interference- But then, that challenges the idea of 'machine'.

  • lo vi funcionar solo 11 segundos, funcionará un rato más?? que payasos

  • Very cool machine. Though not true perpetual motion it will keep going until the earth stops rotating.

  • fuck my brain =))

  • I like it , with my physician knowledge i can tell its not a perpetuum mobile , the spinnings begins because of the earth-speed of 30 km/s an rotation of 24h/d , it gives this crazy thing energy , which is transfered into motion-energy , so the energy isnt given or lost , its perfect , but this machine is quite interesting . 5* ....

Hit me if this is a fake xD

  • friction. nuff said.

  • nothing work for free

  • a pmm WILL always be slowed down by gravity / friction or any other force BUT howerver a natural Pmm does already excist! where? and how old? look up to the sky you might see it the moon or look down to the groung EARTH!!! yes infact everything that's orbiting will keep on going fore ever it doesn't lose energy but you can't take any eighter otherwise the orbit will slowly shrink (this is under normal surcomstances cause there are exceptions)

  • @YoshiTheGreenOne The moon loses some of its energy to the tides on earth. That is why it eventually stopped spinning and the same side always faces us.

  • @gfinseth the does rotate it rotates precisely on the same frequence in orbits or better said when the moon orbits we'll see one side cause it's rotating other wise we would always see a diferent side of it but you might understood something wrong the moon is slowing the earths rotation but the earth on it's turn is slowly moving the moon outward from it's original orbit

  • @YoshiTheGreenOne Oops. You are right, of course. The changing tidal pulls have caused the moon to synchronize its rotation to that of the earth, correct?

  • @YoshiTheGreenOne yep that's right often these litle mistakes are made so i just like to corect them but you're right partialyas well only you did it oposit the earth is slowing down and the moon is going faster cause of tidle stuff but in other surcomstances (looking back on the history of the moon) it would continue for ever untill of corse somthing colides

  • did i just waste 11 seconds of my life to watch a ball circle 1 and a half times around a track?

  • @appleintosh no way it looked cool!!

  • Here's my guess. Of course it's a "fake". It's a piece of art from a provocateur. The pendulums are actuated by a coil hidden under the base plate. Principle is the same as battery powered pendulums clocks they also has a non touching actuator and they're just as much "perpetual machines" as this one! And the magnets keep the ball circling. Very clever and I see why it tricks many non technical minded people. To me it makes perfect sense - sorry Finsrud you can't trick me ;)

  • the pendulums will eventualle (it will take a while though) stop moving. at that point, you'll have to add energy.

also, isnt a pmm about retrieving energy from nothing?

  • It will not work because of the friction of the moving ball on a rail. Friction is equal to loss of energy, loss of energy is equal to no more rotation.

  • fake!

    Not gay, but still fake

  • cool coment back to me

  • If like Jo3blo32007 says, it will stop moving, the two top magnets ;o can't you make ones of them be stronger for a moment by like a quick charge? like every 3000 rotations or something a small burst will make the ball catch some speed up again? :o idk

  • i think maybe in 1000 years it will be a perpetuum mobile but not one where 2 materials touched or slid each other maybe not on earth becouse the gravitiy maybe with spezial gas or atom things

  • magnets are not permanently magnetized and the machine will eventually stop

  • @Jealkeja permenent magnets

  • It's a resonant device. Like a quartz or a pendulum. But complicated enough not to be easy to establish.

  • Too bad it can't exist because energy cannot be created or destroyed.

I think the initial principal is to harvest energy from gravity which seems to be energy that exists from mass so in theory an energy created from nothing, but what comes up must come down (Or what comes down must in this case come up)

So until we develop portals that don't use energy we cannot make a perpetuum mobile.

  • @underdog353777

Portals? at least you believe in conservation of energy.

  • @underdog353777 if you have 2 portals close to one another you would slowly build a Vacume from one to the other as air particles would flow into one, and out of the other, and because of the vacume created the air would go faster and faster until the universe would be sucked in and compressed so smal to create a singularity , a black whole filled with only matter, and with the absense of anti matter, the whole would grow and grow into a super massive black whole, and every thing would be gone

  • it's really interesting, but what's with the air friction ?

every machine in air looses energy because of that

process.. so a perpetuum mobile (if you suggest it's possible)

just can't exist in the air ^^

  • @Lil949 the machine is in a near perfect vacume to preserve energy as loong as possible Perpetual motion is impossible, it just is, the only way to do it is to break the laws of physics, andso the universe wound fail

  • @15Protech

if it's a vacuum, how can the ball roll so fast ?^^

  • @Lil949 cause of the gravity.... the aluminum rims that it is roling on is tilting ever so slightly so the ball continues,

  • @15Protech

    i see... :D

  • @Lil949 why not?

  • It's nice wow

  • This is not perpetual motion. If the earth stops spinning, it stops operating. The motion in the pendulums is caused by the rotation of the earth about it's axis and is using the planets angular momentum to power itself.

  • as long as our generations keeps tryinf things like this, who knows maybe one day we'll have a planet freeing discovery, if your not killed for it first.

  • wow!nerd battle below me!!

  • Bello!..ma non è che a qualcuno poi gli giri la testa seguendo continuamente la sfera a ruotare?,comunque un bel marchingegno, complimenti!

  • 2nd Law of Thermodynamics beginning statement... In a closed system...bzzzzz! wrong assumption! Next candidate please! No half laws accepted!

  • @Spectre8282 I had a cool idea for perpetual motion (although it's impossible) involving sunlight evaporating water and condensing into a higher tank, forcing the first one up into shade, and the second one down into sunlight, etc, but it requires light input, so it's not perpetual

    =(

  • @Spectre8282 correction! In an isolated system.... significant difference.

  • yes, but unfortunately thats not a PMM machine

  • Unfortunately perpetual motion is useless unless you can get OVER unity.

  • What is that ?

  • This was in a documentary. Its supposed to be like 99.13% efficient. I remember hearing

  • the lower the friction the higher the efficiency

  • Dat why sum1 has two make negative friction 4 over 100% efficienciez ;)

  • this is very awsomely fantasticaly cool.

  • i've seen this device before on a documentary. even then it was suggested to be (assuming its not a hoax) a very very highly efficient device, perhaps even close to 99% efficient. however that still means it will eventually stop moving. things like this remind me of a cartoon sketch i saw a while back... "it may be perpetual motion, but it will take forever to test it!" regardless, its still a very beautiful machine.

  • Great quote!

And a well-articulated comment (there seem to be few of those on YouTube). :-)

  • thanks. :) another one of my favorites is "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"

but as i said, its a beautiful machine, regardless. its like a rube goldberg machine caught in a loop...

  • @jo3blo32007 as long there is friction involved it will stop moving eventually.

There will always be friction in mechanic parts no matter how complex of simple the device is so there will never be a perpetuum mobile unless it isnt mechanic.

  • @jo3blo32007 how long was the documentary lolol

  • @jo3blo32007 most porpetual motion machines try to run off their own power thus friction causes it to eventual fail, inthis case though it runs off the rotaions of the earth (notice the weights on the bottom) so as long as the earth rotas the ball will continue around the track

  • @vincentmagician also the ball rolling aroun the track pushes down on the levers swinging the pendulum

  • lol i think its not a perpetuum mobile becauz it gets energy from the earth rotation the hole time!

pendulums are efected by earthrotation and gravy!

i think its possible to make an machine that is powerd by this (just my oppinion)

  • @rutgerhaase lol gravy

  • LOL +1 for gravy!

  • :) ty

  • Exactly, it's not perpetual motion, it's actually powered by the three foucault pendulums hanging underneath. The pendulums don't get their energy from magic, but from the rotation of the earth.

Technically speaking, this machine is slowing the earth down. Of course, the earth is really massive, so we won't miss the few joules of rotational energy.

  • :) thk u - thats exaclty what i wanted to say - ure cool

  • That's what I love about Foucault pendulums, and space elevators as well.

Talk about technologies that alter the very Earth itself!

  • @amandarandom89

The pendulums are not powered by the earth's rotation but by the rotating ball. It's finite of course: the pendulums are eventually slowing down and so is the rotating ball.

  • @amandarandom89 "Exactly, it's not perpetual motion, it's actually powered by the three foucault pendulums hanging underneath. The pendulums don't get their energy from magic, but from the rotation of the earth."

I don't see how a Foucault pendulum can power any device, since even a Foucault pendulum will stop swinging over time due to air resistance and friction within whatever wire is used to suspend it.

You give me a device that runs forever based on Earth's rotation, I'll give you $10,000

  • Comment removed

  • @fuzzywzhe i can do it!!!!! its called a rock, unless an outside force stops it (comit hits the earth and blows it into space) it will forever rotate around the earths axis, at a rate surprisingly close to 1,000 miles per hour and will follow an orbit around an extremely massive object in the center of the galaxy that applies more energy thrusting it and perpetually accelerating it around our solar system at 67,000 miles per hour. May I have the money? :)

  • @jtj11251994 it wont perpectually accelerate... no you can haz no moneys

  • @Xero555000 yes it will, acceleration is any change in motion, even if it is a change in direction and since the rock will always be turning, it will always be accelerating

  • @Xero555000 yes it will, acceleration is any change in motion, even if it is a change in direction and since the rock will always be turning, it will always be accelerating

besides, you only said "that runs forever based on earths rotation"

  • @jtj11251994 Yes.. but work = F dot dS.... and because the force is perpendicular to the displacement... no work is done... no you cannot have any money :)

  • I've built a device powered by perpetual stupidity. It's linked to the interweb and feeds off of youtube comments and mindless blogs. So far its doing quite well.

  • @reason245

better put a brake on that, you might end up destroying the world!

  • @reason245 you're so right!

  • Comment removed

  • LAW OF CONSERVATION OF ENERGY YOU DIMWITS. DO NOT FORGET THAT LAW.

Anyways, it is impossible to have a place that has no mass, as you know from quantum mechanics, and you also know gravtiy's feild is endless, thus perpetual motion is deemed bullshit, again.

  • @cowgoesmoo2

yeh ur right. i think weve all grasped the concept of the universe to perfection so loopholes and anomalys must not exist...

  • I'm with you, as long as you arn't being sarcastic.

  • sorry

  • the law of conservation of energy is broken all of the type, but only at the subatomic level..

  • In my imagination run all this machins but if we stop dreaming, the real motion energie is powert by water, ocean waves, vulcanos,(canabis?)think about it.Perhaps perpetuum motion works,I kant tell. But I am always a friend of clean energys,I hate combustion engines, they stink,i have asthma, and they anyway stoneage technology

  • cough cough FRICTION!!!!

  • let's get this straight, there is no such thing as perpetual motion, even the solar system will stop moving eventually, anything you see on youtube is either fake, powered by electricity, a CGI model, or criminally short so you can't even see it do anything. if a perpetual motion device is ever created YOU WILL KNOW, it will be one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs ever, since so far nobody has been able to break the laws of physics (FRICTION)

  • @Edgehead1132 actually without outside force the solar system would keep moving since there isnt any friction in space. Also in the literal terms of perpetual motion is possible, this is to say something that is continually moving because it does not break any physical laws such as newton's law of motion or the laws of thermal dynamics. how ever a system that produce more energy then it is put in is not possible(if anyone has ever made it is simply converting one form of energy into another).

  • but they revolve around the sun's gravitational pull, which will change drastically when the sun dies, not sure what will happen then, it's kinda hard to tell

  • @Edgehead1132 actually when the sun dies it will become a planet and gravitational force depends on mass of the object so not counting the sun collapsing in on itself and turning into a white dwarf or a black hole it wouldnt change the gravitational force from the sun. but i digress from my previous point. without outside force a moving mass will continue to move thus the literal term of perpetual motion(something that is perpetually moving) is possible.

  • Unfortunately, there's this annoying little thing called gravity...it sort of tends to act on all objects with mass.

  • @hlpbgh and your point is?

  • Well, in your comments you said "without outside forces," so I was wondering if you acknowledged the existence of gravity or not. Since everything experiences gravity's attractive force, it is inevitable objects will collide with something else eventually, and then friction takes its toll. They ricochet, and repeat. Eventually, all energy is lost. It'll just take a few billion years.

  • @hlpbgh oh i see what your saying. well if your object is in orbit around something then you dont have to worry about gravity because gravity is used for angular acceleration of the object. basically the force needed to make something turn from a straight path. So if your object is in a perfect orbit(the force required to curve the object path is equal to the force of the gravity from second object) then theres no reason why the two object would collide with each other.

  • Yes, if only those two bodies existed in the universe. However, since more than two orbiting bodies exist, other non-centripetal gravitational forces are experienced by both bodies, hence their orbits will eventually decay. Ideal Scenario vs. Reality.

  • @hlpbgh Well i did say without outside force and gravity from other objects are outside force.. but yeah if there was outside forces then the orbit would decay. its not really ideal scenario vs reality, because in a reality an ideal scenario can happen. its more like theory vs real world.

  • the ball circulates because of the pendulums which will eventually run out of energy or their powered by earths rotation which is highly unlikely and even if it was its still taking in more energy.

  • this is a great working model, how long does it run for at present?

  • its has been running for hundreds of days, my teacher said...

  • It's gonna stop.

  • most attempted perpetual motion machines are the same, they are an attempt to 'trick' gravity by slipping by some movement to keep the mobile moving. if the law of conservation of energy were faulty, then so would the first law of thermodynamics, and our common-place machines would not work. shift focus into using the earth's energy--not resources but byproducts. i.e. the electromagnetic field, or the tides. attach a buoys to beams that rise and fall with the tides or something creative.

  • Thank you. +1 for you

  • This device is real and can be found in Wikipedia under Perpetual Motion Machines.

  • Why not a simple pendulum in vacuum? This is nice, but pretty useless.

  • lol and like humans know everything, once you guys get over your selves and start looking you will never know what is write in front of your face.. who is to say the is no such a machine when there is so much money at stake lol OIL OIL OIL is where it is at and untill we run out human wont start looking

  • if there is no such thing as perpetual motion, then explain how the electrons are powered in a atom.the laws of physics are seriously flawed.also explain why gravity disappears when they make a nano machine.

neil young is working on converting a 59 lincoln to electric.instead of plugging it in to recharge it,you plug it in to power your house.

this man needs our support right now as much as the world needs his.

    check it out @lincvolt

  • The law of motion states that Energy cannot be created nor destroyed but it can transform from one energy to another. And with this friction is in play.

  • There's no way every possibility in the universe has been tested and we don't know everything. We haven't even found every species of animal yet. Surely we haven't made every scientific discovery or even close. We don't know what's out there. There are things that occur naturally that can't be explained (such as what exactly a blackhole is). Sure if an experiment proves a theory wrong by one method, who's to say it would never work with another method? All you can do is exhaust every possibility

  • Its not creating energy. Its just using the energy from the magnets and the potential energy from gravity. It is basically a transfer of energy. But what I am really confused about is where do magnets get their energy from, if they have been laying around for thousands of years without losing much of their energy? I am not referring to man-made magnets.

  • Some machines may look perpetual, but are actually just oscillatory, like pendulums - they will stop unless outside energy is added, like a push, and if you try to tie a string to a pendulum to take energy from it, it q as well.

Just remember: ENERGY IS NEVER CREATED. It is only converted from other sources. There is a finite amount of energy in the universe, and that amount will never change. Feel free to msg me if you have any question. Youtube is full of bad science T_T

  • but gravity aint enrgy it is just the mass of the obect on space fabric
