I left 2 video responses show over 140 PS3 & PSN games tested with remote play and only 3 PSN games works LMAO Sony dropped the ball on this cause it was a major selling point for them. remote play is dumb, period. 1. far away from home = lag and delay due to internet connection speed. 2. its a waste, wifi kills batteries far. 3. if you wanna use PS3 on the go, just use the Vita. It's get better games over time.

So I just saw the commercial on TV where the guy did this with a MLB game and decided that if the vita could in fact do this, then I would DEFINITELY get one, but until I see it doing it, I wont.. @southsideshootas Once you register your Vita through the PS3, you don't have to be near the PS3. You need to set the PS3 to Remote Play standby mode.  Also, if you hook up the PS3 to the internet via the router, you can play anywhere.

Almost no games use a full 1080p resolution (not even wipeout HD: it changes resolution on the run), and many games don't even use a 720p resolution (they go down even to 576 vertical pixels sometimes). Sad but true. Red dead redemption is one of those games who don't reach the 720p. Same for the darkness (the first).

All PS1 games should work as well as all titles the PSP used to support via Remote Play. The reason the Vita can't run many PS3 games is because it's currently using the old version of Remote Play (the PSP Remote Play) because the device hasn't been released globally yet. Give it a few months after global launch and I guarantee you the compatibility and connection will be drastically improved.

And also of you do the direct connection (almost blue-tooth like) instead of the wifi you'll see a drastic improvement in performance and this error messages will disappear enabling you to play your favorite games.

Also, RemotePlay wasn't originally made to support games from the PS3, it was made so you can wirelessly access your content if your away from your PS3. Saying its a gimmick is a bit of a forced opinion since your using it for something that it wasn't originally made for.
