These negotiations are complete BS by the players. That would be like an employee asking for his fair share of the profits of a company that he does not own. Who would do that? The players need to know they are expendable. The owners bear the risk..period. If anyone should be bitching, it should be the fans. I'm tired of the players crying. Go get a real job, work it for awhile and see if you come back with that same attitude.

The average salary for the NBA, NHL, and MLB are already more per yer then NFL players, if you enjoy high levels of football, you may be disappointed when kids start quitting football because baseball is safer and pays more.

The owners will not prove that they are loosing $, we have to take their word for it, I don't. They should play football without ANY CBA, and let every contract be an individual choice. The owners shouldn't need rules that protect them from themselves (salary caps)

NFL Makes the most revenue as a whole, MLB is Close. The toll on one NFL season does more damage than one season of any other those other sports mentioned (NHL is Close), so it really doesn't matter that they play less games as far as I am concerned.

@burrheadjr Salary Caps do more than just protect owners...they set a limit of "talent" based on a money sense...

Without a salary cap you basically have the MLB where a few teams win it every year...how lame...

@afurrywabbitwolf I don't see a major difference between the MLB and NFL. MLB does have powerhouse teams, but so does the NFL. In the NFL, the Patriots and Steelers have been dominating, and never suck. You could argue that the cap makes it harder to compete, because great talent is willing to accept less to be on these teams, making it impossible for others to catch up. In Baseball, the best team right now is CLEAVLAND, the Rays are ahead of the Yankees, and Marlins can win championships
