My apologies for being probably unhelpful Sean, but I don't know how to categorize this movie. The Yakuza or Delinquency elements, while all in all important, were peripheral when it comes to the core of the movie, imho. It's about a gutsy young man dealing with several systems indeed, but in the end dealing with society as a whole. I guess, according to my experience, that this kind of topic is addressed more deeply in Yakuza movies though. That's the best answer I can offer...
@ishisaki92 Thank you for your reply. Either way you have helped me. I often watch these kinds of movies and am often the only person who watches them in MY city too. It's always good to hear others opinions on these films. These movies appeal to me, because I feel for the underdogs who are somewhat lost in a non traditional modern world. The delinquents often reject this world knowing all the strings that control it, while dealing with hard hitting realities of youth and life.

@ishisaki92
Would you say this is a delinquent film or more of a Yakuza film?
Sometimes they are mixed, but I don't really consider Delinquent's that turn Yakuza as a Delinquent film....
What do you think? Can you help me out?
