yes. I studied Flamenco for 10 years and belly dance now for 16. My personal belief about fusing different styles of dance is much like the rules of Jazz...you really need to know the rules befor eyou can break them and to fuse two styles means you really need to know the technique as well as the essence of both styles

im learning now flamenco and i wish to combine with other dances one of them is the belly dance
