I had this idea for what should have happened in The Dark Knight. Batman gets to the top level where Joker is, he is jumped by a few goons and while he fights them Joker is in the background playing the 60s/70s theme of Batman. Once Batman is done with the goons Joker turns around and goes 'Do you like that? I came up with it just for you.' At which point Batman slams the piano lid down on Joker's fingers thus beginninjg the fight. A nice nod to the series and the fans. What you think?
@84REDHEd I wish I could have. However, this video was made before the movie actually came out, meaning that I only had footage from The Dark Knight's three trailers to work with, none of which featured either of those characters.
This is a wonderful pairing, as I think Mask of the Phantasm would be. For me the animated series' were far darker and closer in my mind to what Batman should be than everything before Batman Begins. Well Done!

How can you apply this great theme song done by a true artist in Danny Elfman and apply it to a film of pure trash and garbage. Christoper Nolans version of Batman is no Dark Knight, it is pure trash, garbage, and crap and if I could I would tell him so directly to his face.
You are the one is pure trash and garbage. Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are more close to the comics than the first 4th films were. Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are actually the ones are pure trash and garbage that nearly destroy the franchise but thanks for Nolan, he revived it. Anyways Joker was never the one that killed Bruce's parents in the comics. It was Joe Chill that killed them. BB actually got the origin right. So screw you.
@joeb1963 You seem really upset about this. A lot of people agree with you and find the movies as the best Batman treatment every. Why don't you take a SOMA and think about what you have said.
@templerman what I think you meant to say is that a lot of these lousy modern age Batman fans that don't know anything about a good film and how the Batman and Joker should be portrayed on the screen do not agree with me. The fact is christian Bale does a really lousy job as Batman and Heath Ledger's Joker is the worst Joker I have ever seen, he and his clown henchman are nothing but rejects from the movie
@joeb1963 And thus you have earned the contempt of everyone on Earth with even the slightest taste in film. Nice job. And by the way, good work with mentioning A Clockwork Orange as well; your ability to draw opinions based on Wikipedia articles is impeccable.
@joeb1963 well actualy neither series of movies is really true to the comics. i have been reading batman books for years and have yet to find a movie that accuratley portrays the character. however i think both movies did an awesome job portraying there own unique batman who is just as badass as the origional from the comics. Anyway its pretty much impossible to stay true to the comics without making a billion hour long movies :)
you didnt spend enough time on it, it seems as though it was rushed, it seem like you put more thought into explaining what you did, the only part that fit the music was the ending, i want you to go back and do it again
Haha! Beautifully edited and nice touch with the thunder crackle and the bat symbol at the end, I was wondering how you would get that to fit and you did wonderfully.
Although I don't think theme for TDK was that bad I would have to agree that this a whole lot better. But then again this score, which i believe is actually the Danny Elfman score from the original movie, will forever be THE batman theme.
this is actually really cool-I didnt think the images would sit so well with Walkers theme (cos theyre really two different kinds of batman y'know?) but this proved me wrong...expertly edited too with the bests matching the images (the cymbal crash when Joker claps etc)..a few things I might have swapped round personally, but great job!
nice twist on the dark knight/batman animated series mashups. Hundreds of trailers that did it the other way around got lost in the shuffle of there being so many. Very creative way to turn that around. (I hope none of that came off sarcastic, cuz im serious. I really liked the trailer)
Of course this is a five star video, if anybody says otherwise as Jack's Joker would say, "I'll their lungs out." The editing is perfection and I love the ending.
Ooh, this is brilliant! Excellent use of timing with the action and explosions to the symbols, and the flickering of the bat symbol at the end to the thunder. You've been very precise and clearly thought this through conscientiously! I love work like that. ;-)
I like this idea as I was thinking of the exact same thing after I saw the Dark Knight. Thanks for showing that the movie wouldn't be as good with the old music.

Actually, I find it kinda cheesy to use this batman theme for a batman movie at this time and age. Makes it look cartoonish instead of realistic, and we already had those kind of movies back in the 90s. can u guys feel it? :p
So well said... Dark Knight was so awesome but throughout the movie I kept waiting for the Shirley Walker theme to appear... I love Hans Zimmer's work but Shriley's theme was definitely missing!
I've done one as well btw - check out my latest video (The Dark Knight - With Older Batman Themes) - It's got TDK with the old camp 60's theme, the Danny Elfman theme and I've included the BTAS theme, including the end alternate TAS theme :)
Oh and I've also got Elliot Goldenthal's Batman Forever music with a montage of TDK on that same video as well. Check it out whenever you get time
And here I thought I'd come up with something no one else had ever done before. Gah. But I'm glad you liked it anyway. (I looked at your video, by the way, and it was great too.)
Wow that was good

I think he tried to use too many clips. If he used more of Batman, Joker and the Batpod/ Tumbler in longer sequences it would have been better.
However this being the only Dark Knight clip with TAS, it was good.
