  • ellis tough guy he fought only bigger guys and he wasnt afraid of big comp

    big respect from algeria ellis

  • Sick of reading the word "prime" in these videos mainly Tyson lovers, Tyson would have had a tuff time dealing with these legends Frazier, Ali, Ernie, Forman to name a few. No chance of him being the best 10.

  • @tigersden55 how do you know that?

  • @kassop Foreman would kill Tyson in 1 or 2 rounds, because of the height difference and Tyson's fighting style. Frazier would probably lose, but I'd rank him over Tyson for his accomplishments. Shavers would do good but his chin might get him in trouble so it could go either way. Ali would outbox him, no sweat, and knock him out. Liston-Tyson would be very interesting too.

  • Ali had 30 pounds on Jimmy. This fight should show people how Dempsey would have fared against Ali.

  • What year was this?

  • @koolltrini4 1971 Houston astrodome..

  • Very strange to see Angie working the corner against Ali.

  • The greatest!

  • I remember this fight . I think it was at the Astro Dome

  • Christ , Ali makes all of us 6 footers look like dwarves lol!

  • @DSPBoxing, Suagr Ray was great, very great indeed. But that was in terms of boxing. Ali was bigger than boxing and re-shaped it.

  • Yes that's Angelo Dundee you see in Ellis' corner at the end. One of only two pro fight of Ali's where Angie wasn't in Ali's corner.

  • im english,i know my boxing,i would say the top 5 boxers of all time are american, youd have to be a dumbass to disagree

  • @Cappacino1000 Lennox Lewis, despite the number of people who despise him for not being very exciting (which he wasn't, no argument here), will almost certainly go down as a top 5 heavyweight in terms of resume. After Joe Louis and Ali, there are a bunch of guys with arguments but Lennox's argument is the best.

  • @RaulGroom cool,lewis is good,but i was talking all weight divisions ;)

  • @Cappacino1000 ah ok. interesting, I'm not sure who my top 5 best careers all time are. robinson ali louis i guess. and then not easy to pick two more.

  • @RaulGroom totally agree with those 3,theres lots of others but i always look at haglar, leonard and hearns, dont know how u feel about those but to me they are the greatest.

  • @Cappacino1000 Hearns was unique and highly skilled but his resume is not that great - his record in big fights was poor and he didn't have many successful title defenses. Leonard has a great argument - he won a lot of big fights in exciting fashion. Hagler probably had the best career of the three, in my view. A dozen defenses of the middleweight title, including against Duran and Hearns, and his loss to Sugar Ray was of course highly questionable.

  • @RaulGroom Lewis was knocked out twice by two very ordinary fighters in McCall and Rahman. Those two losses weigh heavily against him regarding all-time consideration.

  • @Kedbuka in your mind perhaps they do. But he avenged both losses, and retired with no unavenged losses, which very few other heavyweight champions have done.

  • @RaulGroom You miss the point: Lewis never should have lost to such ordinary fighters to begin with--especially in the prime of his career--thereby precluding the need to avenge them. Very few, if any, great heavyweight champions have needed to avenge losses against such mediocre opposition.

  • @Kedbuka who are you comparing him to? Ali and Louis are clearly better. after that, whose career is more impressive? obviously the two losses hurt - otherwise he's clearly #3 at worst. but who had a better career? Jack Dempsey? he lost to a lot worse fighters than Rahman. Holmes? He spent the last half of his reign ducking people, something Lewis NEVER did. Foreman? He fought maybe four decent fighters in his entire career.

  • @RaulGroom

jack dempsey never lost to an average contender like rahman. neither did tyson, until after he fell apart. frazier only lost to ali and foreman. sonny liston was considered unbeatable until ali came along.

  • @Robstailey lol really, Fireman Jim Flynn was a better fighter than Rahman? Oh, I see you're a Tyson person. No talking to you people. Tyson was a joke. He won zero big fights and looked horrible in most of them. He is not a top five, top ten, or top twenty heavyweight. He does not belong ANYWHERE in this conversation.

  • THE GREATEST

  • Excellent Sweetfights! Another great video of terrific quality! Where do you find these? They are great!

  • @loughran03 You Europeans kill me. You've had a good ten years, and all of a sudden your brand of boxing is the only brand. The fact is, the rise of European boxing has been aided by the best athletes in America not boxing anymore. For years everything up to 135-140 has been dominated by Mexican fighters, while everything above has been the dominion of Americans. All of a sudden, the Americans are boxing less, so Europeans have more space to dominate. That doesn't mean you're a boxing expert.

  • James Ellis was a very good fighter but was outclassed by ali. Ellis did not have the chin to compete with the frazier, ali' and shavers, Yet he did win the title while ali was in exile. Any fighter who has wins over Bonevena, Quarry ,Patterson and top challenger Leotis Martin (who koed Liston) was a top fighter. He now suffers from dementia pugilistica. Thanks for posting this.

  • @loughran03, you must not know anythng at all about Ali. i would like to see you say that to his face, matter of fact say that to tyson's face, ali was like a father figure to him.

  • @kingdarius1991 Your a typical Ali,Tyson jocksniffer. You Americans are totally brainwashed when it comes to boxing. A fighter to girls like you have to be ghetto, ugly, and brainless. Thats why Americans can't fight, there too busy like you, non particapants, afraid of your own shawdows, who stay at home playing with themselves. Get a life Yank.

  • @loughran03, first off Ali and Tyson two of the Greatest boxers ever. Hmm.. Americans cant fight? So tell me how Mike Tyson got 44 straight kos with over 30 ending in the first round. Tell me why Ali backed up every word the he said and became the first man to win the heavyweight title 3 times. I think you are the dumbass who hates on the best boxer ever yet U WATCHED THE VIDEO. You are a one true dipshit who knows nothing about boxing, check yourself before u talk to me u bitch ass keyboard nerd

  • @loughran03 Americans can't fight? For your information, the U.S.A. has produced over 400 pro boxing world champions, which is more than all European countries combined. Not only that, the US pulled your asses out of the frying pan during WWII. And we won't talk about the Pacific theater, since Europe had so little to do with winning it. That was all USA. Just like pro boxing. Is that enough for today, ya' tit?

  • @Kedbuka I would not argue with any of your points...but boxing is a sport...I hardly see that being proud of how well USA can KILL people has any bearing on boxing??

  • @realdiamondshow you better fuck off, it,s not usa, it,s mohammad ali. american are use less. they are good just to decive the people. usa has only beautifull girls

  • @kurosh771 I think perhaps you need to be on medication. All societies deceive their people... but there really is no need to be so aggresive....its very childish. Perhaps you ARE a child.

  • @realdiamondshow yes i am a child of god hov about you perhaps american child

  • @kurosh771 its muhammad ali yo fag

  • @loughran03 fuck off troll
