  • Yes, if you like spooning with a turbo. @mistersmith6000

  • Is the long nose for sleeping accommodation?

  • @mistersmith6000 im guessing engine

  • No zig zag taxiing required despite that awfully long nose? How is taxi visibility, anyway?

One of these on floats was in the movie Never Cry Wolf quite a few years ago.

  • Great video, thanks. I am wondering what are those items attached aft of the main gear wheels; also, that item mounted on the Port wingtip (curious :-) Love that wide gear stance; also the Beta mode. Nice flying, sir. N-6395T

  • @mmichaeldonavon The main gear has mud/rock deflectors to keep the wing and flap clean, often seen on older European aircraft.

The pod near the left tip is a weather radar.

  • There you go. Intelligent.

  • The best airplane in the world.

  • @wreckdiver001 I have never seen one of these before, I must agree with you! Man that is one awesome airplane, and I am sure very very spendy.

  • Helio still beats it in takeoff and landing distance...but not rate of climb or payload.

  • @pathyskeeter My Piper Cub beats it in take-off roll but not payload, so therefore it does not beat it at all, right.

  • man that was nice....

  • hope I get to fly one of these in the bush.

  • @stefankozma No, flying it into a bush would nt be a good thing. Airplanes are designed to be flow in the air!! ;o)

  • that was crap, I've seen shorter from the pc 6

  • Well go on then ya punks ya feel lucky?..go ahead an paint a Toucan on that nose if you dare grrr..

  • Don't forget the much sexier bigger sister to the Porter, the PC-12 NG. Now that's a nice bird!

  • @marstons99 Saw a PC-12 at Ocala Intl.

  • Fairchild rebuilt this machine into the AU-23A Credible Chase as a mini gunship for service in South East Asia probably after the CIA airline Air America flew successfull clandestine missions right across the continent with it (the movie wasn't too bad , if I remember well)

The AU-23 mainly carried a doorway tribarrel 20mm gatling as mounted in late model AH-1 noses

  • @superwout ur sir r correct the movie is awesome!!!

  • This only Swiss-made plane will not win beauty contest, but is'ts so efficient and reliable! Great video!
