  • Thank You very much for this wonderful ad. There is hope.

  • omggg, que orgullo <3

  • @whereismom1

So why are you watching this video? Or am I supposed to believe that you somehow randomly stumbled on an Argentine commercial about transgender people? Yeah, right. Maybe doing a little 'research' on some of your issues, perhaps. Good luck with it. Fighting yourself is a losing battle. And your penchant for UFO videos will only distract you for so long.

  • Fantastic, what a touching video!

  • @whereismom1 Being prejudiced against transsexuals is one thing, but threatening to kill transsexuals is another thing entirely. That's just plain murder, which is truly despicable.

  • What a wonderful advert! And so encouraging too! Banco Provincia must be praised! It's a pity that this video has attracted some ignorant and prejudiced comments from certain regressive idiots.

  • @LynneaUrania Strength, beauty & conviction are not confined within patriarchial definitions of gender. They are simply human. Good luck. Much love from Canada.

  • That is amazing. Good for them, for having the sense and courage to promote tolerance of trans people. :]

  • @whereismom1 You ask me why? I'm sorry you want to exclude me. I am post-op myself.

  • @whereismom1 You must be a secret cock-gobbling jizz monkey who wears his mum's panties, then. Nothing else would explain your pathetic hostility. xx

  • What a beautiful story.

  • Absolutely beautiful..had me in tears too. bravo for such a wonderful advert :-)

  • @whereismom1 Why? we dont hurt anyone, all we ask is to be allowed to get on with our lives like everyone else.yes,I'm transgendered, and people who take the time to get to know me,discover that I'm really a nice person, and not something to be scared of.since I came out,I have made more friends (90% of them straight people) in that short time than I had in all my life before that, and they have welcomed me into their lives and homes with open arms.

  • I cannot rate this video highly enough. It's excellent to depict people coming together instead of the usual spewing of hate we have been seeing online in recent years.

  • @whereismom1 you're an idiot.

  • @BEARARMZ How are transsexuals handicapped? They're just as capable as most people. It's not like they need personal carers.

  • 0.32

he actually says 'the credit for the CAMP', not the car..

But anyway, the commercial is quite remarkable

  • America will laugh if they tried to put this as a national commercial, they will also tell you to go fuck yourself and die from inequality

  • Stunning. This is a step in the RIGHT direction.

  • This is the most beautiful and touching ad I have ever seen. It had me in tears.

  • What a beautiful, powerful video!

Perhaps advertising can heal the world. ;) ~*~

  • Wow! I love this commercial. Very heartwarming and sweet.

  • I got very watery eyed also! I laugh at that fact, but in a good way...I'm "ashamed" but proud!!! I'm a gay guy so who CARES if I cry. LOL SUPERB COMMERCIAL!

  • que hermoso commercial!

  • Beautiful little film. Maybe we can all end any bigotries and petty prejudices we may have and move forward with apologies and kindness.

  • This is a totally awesome video! Shows how backwards the USA is compared to Argentina on this issue.

  • Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. This. Is awesome.

  • Wouldn't it be great if everyone cared about another's feelings like this? As a transgender woman myself, this really hit home.

  • What means this spot?

  • @Eiche2k I've lived here for more than a decade and was born here. I've friends who work with Inadi as well as gay acquaintances whose lives were threatened outside a popular nightclub. You seem unaware of the palpable homophobia for some reason. Studies prove rejecting what's different helps establish a sense of self. I don't mean to argue; I realize we both have very different experiences and I respect your own. Best of luck.

  • Awww thats a cute commercial =) we get too many commercials in the USA that dosn't make sense

  • Aww, she looks gorgeous

  • Update; there is a commercial now playing called "Nilda Nicolas" which makes fun of a male crossdresser in Argentina.

  • beautiful, hermoso

  • Also a well crafted lie.

  • Absolutely beautiful; I think that there should be more commercials, movies and T.V. shows like this in the world.

  • beatiful guesture wish more people opened there mind and hearts like that

  • this was nice

  • Now THAT'S positive! ;)

  • Beautiful, artisitic and kind, very fine.

  • Just some of false friends like "hairdresser" ("beauty salon" is more correct) and "a bank disposed to change" ("dared" would be more fitting, since "dispose" is about throw away, get rid of something)... Don't really know why Don Luis was dubbed as "Mr. Lopez" (we don't even hear his last name!)... :-)

  • don luis?? no se Sr Lopez?? ammmmm

  • I DO like this very much!

  • Because there wasn't enough hate in the world.

Youtube comments: missing the point for ages.

  • I currently reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Id like to inform that homophobia is rampant, women are utilized as sex objects in about half of the commercials aired and the government is about to pass a controversial media law which gives them certain powers over the press. Sorry to spoil this, but Argentina is like the US without Panda Express or Dodge Vipers.

  • Im Argentinian u son of a bitch u r the tipical American that defends his country with no arguments...Why don´t u fucking write that is a good comercial and thats it?

  • @conradbrean I'am Argentinian. And No, what you say about homophobia is not true. We do not use women as objects, on the contrary we feel very passionate about them. I live in Campana, 80 km from Buenos Aires.

About the Government, the president and the former president had different views with some media, they suggested a law to control them. However, the people succeeded in the Senate that such legislation is not implemented.

There is much difference between the U.S. and my country.

  • "...it's more natural..." :o)

  • Excellent video - thanks for posting!

  • I was incredibly touched by this commercial. And I'm _not_ transgender. But it makes me think how far behind the times some businesses and societies really are.

  • I wasn't incredibly touched by this commercial. It makes me think, how far will banks go to fool people, again... into collecting there branded paper "money" wake up people banks dont care who you are, as long as they can get you to trust there fiat currency (there illusion) ...In about 2012 after the USA riots, i'd say you will see similar ads on America cable TV. and wont our level of tolerance and understanding make you feel good. wake up wake up. its not about gender.

  • Coming from someone who flunked grade-school English, you'll forgive me if I have a hard time taking your "riot" prediction seriously. Keeping the masses under control is an evolved science for the power elite. They are not going to let their gravy train stumble, or revolt. This advertisement lets the transgender community know they are welcome, while garnering business for the bank. It's a win-win. You are over-analyzing it. All businesses should be this progressive.

  • wow, it is true, most Americans are delusional and have no idea of history other than their own, sad, very sad. True Erica2, you cant eat gold or branded paper ("money") but what would YOU rather be holding when the USA collapse happens? " you say Coal reserves", HA your government will sell that, like they sold your highways to Mexico... "feed its people" HA, your capitalist system will mean the American people will be out bid by other countries, just like coffee in Africa and rice in Asia.

  • If that's your idea of history "U.S. SAVED THE WORLD" you really are in a brainwashed-short term-fish bowl thinking head space, so sad. You say 30% unemployment and the ongoing decline of the US dollars purchasing power. All empires fall. All empires fall.

  • patriotic redneck

  • What an imbecile. I live in New England, have two college degrees and own my own business, and the last thing anyone would call me is a "red neck." Sorry if you're too stupid to grasp the concept of loving your own country.

  • SHUSH NOOB SHUTUPN!

  • (sigh) why do the let children in these sites?

  • Who are you to call me a child?

  • @Erica2Lives what the hell is New England, is that some sort of twisted insult towards England?

  • Hahah... what, did you flunk social studies in 4th grade or something? New England is comprised of the northeastern states VT, NH, MN, RI, MA and CT. They call it "New" England because it was England who first settled this area in the New World - Duh! Where do you think all the "New" states and towns came from. They were originally regions in England, like New York. I'm arguing with a complete simpleton. Go back to your bong snapperhead!

  • snapperhead?

  • no stupid american pig, if ur usa economy collapse only ur country will die, theres is EURO worth more than that shit called dollar, and theres CHINA ur number one manufacturer, so china will keep selling stuff to other countries, and the people wont notice that the american pigs economy is dead. ROFLCOPTER

  • Re: " i wish we had stuff like this in north america". Actually, we do. I live in Ontario, Canada and I find it extremely accepting and inclusive here.

  • i think she's his son-doughter...

  • wB92 Anyone know her name? I've seen her in another vid posted at fieryvid {dot} com

  • I was half expecting Mr. Lopez to be like "SIKE" and slap her

  • Bea Arthur looks pretty good here.

  • Jajajaja... Ahora los bancos no sólo rigen la esfera económica, sino también la moral.. Payasos

  • wow, excellent - it is great to reconsider those you had thought badly of _and_ to have the courage to say "I'm sorry", whether you do it as an individual, or to encourage it as a corporation via an ad.

  • good job, argentina! I wish US companies would advertise like this.

  • AYA HIRANO

  • i cant understand why many comments talk bout god. this ad don´t take bout him, talk about simple people who have strong (and sometimes opposite) relationships cos closer things (like same town or same bank) and the freedom 2 live like they want. i think argentinian ads are very interesting cos take many topics like freedom, identity, familym friends and many more (mixing with humor) connect with deep feeling to "sold" a product . invite 2 all of you 2 see more argentinian ads

  • Same town, same bank and same province, because it's the official bank of the province of Buenos Aires.

  • This is an advertisement which the banks here in the U.S. should copy from. I like the idea that one from South America did it first and is a great idea.

  • it´s Don Luis, not Mr Lopez!

  • it's true

  • wow this is amazing.....powerful, and heart warming...

  • I am not ashamed to admit that this made me burst into tears.

  • LOL. baby. rofl. It was very sweet.

  • @sylvietheelf Me to

  • @sylvietheelf I just cried too!!

  • @sylvietheelf I am sobbing. SOBBING!! I am so, so happy... that somewhere this is broadcast publicly. I am over-joyed.

  • This was very moving, I wish advertisers in britain could learn to be this forward thinking. Over here whenever there is a trans person in an ad its always a kind of "oh look its a tranny! Haha!" moment! It was lovely when he gave her the figurine! Aw!

  • I think this commercial is heart-warming and progressive. Never fails to make me mist up. :')

  • Agreed

  • Gospel means "truth." And the truth is that you should treat all people with respect, compassion, and love. Period.

  • So respect prompts you to call people "stupid fools" and "pathetic creature"? People like you would almost make me feel ashamed of being a Christian, judging people and discarding them as less than human -- where do you get off calling anyone a creature? You're sanctimonious and getting off on your perceived superiority and hiding your hate and contempt behind the Bible and the Gospel. "Love your neighbor", "hate the sin not the sinner"? Ring a bell? It sure doesn't seem like it.

  • May the love of your deity see past your scorn and hate for one of his creatures He made "in his own image". Asuke has the right idea. Love thy neighbor. And if you love them, even scornful creatures like you can walk in His light.

  • The only sin I see that you may be accusing them of is being who they are. Repentant homosexual or transgendered person to me just screams that they're still saying sorry for being themselves. Which is to say, if God loves us all unconditionally, why do they have to say sorry?

  • Oh Godwin's law, how I love you. Anyway.

You're also taking extreme cases to make your point. Granted they can be valid, but I'm not talking about cannibalism or pedophilia. I'm talking about your God and his love. By going to that extreme, you're bypassing my point, in favor of sounding like you have the upper hand.

If God created us in his image (which is in the bible), why did he create us all as sinner like you profess? Doesn't that mean God sins and should be asking himself for forgiven?

  • So, God is contradicting himself by telling us one thing (creating us in his own image) and being another (completely sinless). If we were created in his image, we would be sinless too. I'm sorry, but science has proved more to me than a imaginary being from a book written by man as a work of fiction based on what they THOUGHT happened.

Really, no. If I had a god, which I don't, he would love everyone equally. Not pick and choose who are his golden children like a teacher playing favorites.

  • God should have anticipated "don't touch that because I say" to mean "I'm gonna touch it." I mean seriously. Its like a 4 year old with a glass vase.

Also, God didn't lead you to me. My friend who showed me your intolerance and bigotry led me to you. The world outside you doesn't work on the same mystical plain that you do. Stop trying to put me in your religion now that I've said my peace and told you that I have no God. Unless its the invisible pink unicorn.

  • I go out of my way not to hate everyone. I wouldn't say I love everyone either. But I'm also not a mystical deity with my own book and followers.

Also, bullys left me alone. I don't know why.

I don't love or seek God, because I can't see myself chasing some after something that I can't prove as real, thus you saying "separation from the God he hates, forever" can't really apply to me. As I can't hate something I haven't seen or has effected me in any tangible way.

  • Wait, what sin?

  • That's your creator. Not our creator.

My creator thinks trannies and homos are peachy keen.

  • Funny you should phrase it like that. My dad has a nice home and a BMW in his garage. And he did help create me....Not sure what his opinion on trannies is.

  • God didn't create all that much though. He didn't create my computer or my toaster, but he did provide the core components of it. It will never succeed as long as narrow minded people like you are still around. People so obsessed with a higher plane of existence, you forget how to act on this one.

You are right about one thing though, Fools are fools. And will continue to be no matter how much the society around them adapts.

    Also, free will.

  • I think it's cute how you talk about things you know nothing about.

  • Having just come back home from visiting Argentina and feeling quite uncomfortable sometimes as an out queer person, I feel really glad that there's a mainstream advert like this. Makes me glad to know that Argentina's becoming a much more open country than it was.

  • what an awesome video!

  • Banks using transpeople to sell their product, hah - advertising their tolerance. Who needs it.

  • I say this as a straight heterosexual ally and proponent for gay/lesbian/trans rights: I found the commercial beautiful and touching. I like to give the benefit of the doubt to people; I think this was meant as both ad and PSA. I think it was made with genuine conviction. And I applaud Banco Provincia for their fair-minded and kind response to the increasing acceptance of transgender/transsexual people in Argentina.

  • Thanks for your support, I greatly appreciate straight/het/non-trans people who are supportive of us as human beings. Regardless of how one wants to deconstruct the ad, I think the main point is that it merely reflects a heart of goodwill towards transpeople, and that is why I applaud it. All the complaints are missing the point: THESE PEOPLE ARE ON OUR SIDE. Encourage them to continue.

  • I am post op transwoman and I think its a head fuck.

  • What commercial isn't? So what is your point?

  • The essential point of the narrative is the man admitting to being unfairly biased against the transsexual woman. The reason that he changed his opinion of her - because the bank treated her fairly and without discrimination (it would be unlawful for the bank to discriminate) is weak and flimsy. Why didn't the wife get out of the car? This ad is confusing and insincere .

  • Hmmm, you do have a point. Incidentally, we know she is transgendered but there's no reason to believe that she's also transexual. Those are different conditions although often confused by those not involved. I should know, being a transgendered woman myself but not transexual. That is, my body and my gender didn't match and the body was changed. My sexual orientation, however, did not change.

  • He confesses that he rejected her until he saw that the bank treated her as they would any other customer - ie assess business plan, risk, assets, income etc - as they must do. Because she is transgendered, he feels entitled to stick his nose into her private banking arrangements - which are none of his business. Why does her standing change because a bank gives her a business loan? Who do the bank think they are? I am post-op lesbian. I thought transgendered and transsexual were the same.

  • I understand your critique and will reflect on it. Thank you.

I've been approved for the ops, vaginaplasty and labiaplasty, and have always been and reman lesbian.

    Bless you.

  • Cool

  • No transsexualism is a condition in which people suffer a birth defect and once corrected they no longer suffer from.

Transgender is catch all description for anyone who displays mannerisms of the opposite gender to their physical being.

Wish people would educate themselves to the difference, it is massive.

  • Comment removed

  • MTFaye - Really and you are an expert are you? Transgender includes MEN who like to dress up, MEN who perform in shows and MEN who like to sexually pleasure themselves while wearing women's clothes.

Nothing to do with WOMEN who are unfortunate to be born with transsexulism a condition which is cured, as far as medical science can so far, its not perfect but way better than being forced to live a lie, to be able to live and function as the WOMEN they really are.

  • cont. Transgender is a term coined by T.V's and C.D.'s and is very different thing.

Don't let LGBT organisations propaganda dictate something they have no concept of.

  • The difference is importatnt but I take issue with your definiitions.

Transgender refers to self-identity being at issue with the physical characteristics that a person is born with.

Transsexual has to to with a crossover of sexual orientation.

Transvestites are people who are sexually aroused by crossdressing.

Crossdressers and simply that, usually recreational.

My sources are too various to cite here.

Of course, these are all medical/psych issues not moral issues.

  • And I take issue with yours.

Transsexualism is a condition where the body does not match the brain sex. It has nothing whatsoever to do with sexual orientation. You seem to mix up the fact that the word sex is mentioned as meaning sexual orientation, it is not.

  • Transgender, if you were to research properly, was a term coined in the 70's to be a catch all term and give some sort of affiliation for those who "cross dress" with those suffering from transsexualism. It is also used to push all those people who cross the gender boundary's into one neat little package.

Labels are horrible people need to use them, so its important to understand them and use them correctly.

I suggest you research what the terms ACTUALLY mean I suggest google as a staring point.

  • Yes transgendered has become a catch all for people that want to live as the opposite sex and not just cross dress for sexual excitement. but the actual definition is someone that wants to live as the opposite sex but not have surgery to change the physical sex, living as the sex they want is enough. I like it better then transsexual(someone that wants to change there physical sex), because it really has almost noting to do with sex and all about gender, as well just Trans works well too.

  • We are obviously using different sources and it could have been interesting to compare them. However, your attitude is so arrogant and ill-mannered that I've no interest is discussing anything with you any more.

  • Whatever. Enjoy your ignorance

  • It's truly mind-blowing that other countries have commercials like this for things like banks. This is totally absolutely splendid; had it continued, I might have shed a tear! Transgendered persons, Argentina, & a bank .... a motley crew:

  • This is a great ad!

  • ( Assuming this is from spain ) Gay marriage is legalized there so I'm not shocked.

  • It is from Argentina, not Spain.

  • Argentina, not Spain.

  • Civil Unions are legalized in Argentina since the early 2000s but gay marriage is still debated (tho almost all people support it)

  • Wow.

  • kudos to this bank.

  • It's been a long time since an ad made me cry...

  • Wonderful!

  • wow this is a nice add

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • That's a great and touching ad. I loved it. I like the wife at the end waving hello big.

  • I seriously got teary-eyed. It's so nice to see a transgendered person portrayed in a positive light and the message of tolerance is amazing.

  • Beautiful.

  • Viva Argentina!! WAKE UP AMERICA!!

note how long ago this vid was posted.

Most ppl in the US are only interested in transgender as a novelty or target for comedy or hatred. Such a sad (50) state(s). Melting pot?? I think not :(

  • That was BOLD! Way to go Argentina!

Kudos to the bank that recognizes change

  • I don't know if that's showing up wrong for me or for everyone, but my replies below are meant to be direct responses to comments. They were made as replies, not comments, but aren't showing up as such, at least for me.

  • *tear*

    Okay. Full on *sob*!

  • more people need to see this commercial.

  • For non- Spanish-speakers: the man uses the feminine formal form when addressing her "pedirle perdón por no haberLA sabido tratar"

  • Wow awesome!!

  • parabens pelo comercial..simplismente lindo
