I was looking at a huge brand new John Deere tractor at a show recently, it actually had wire hanging down UNDERNEATH the drawbar frame that was not even tied up to anything ! The first time that tractor went up to its drawbar in the mud that would snap off like a carrot and we all know what happens to a modern electronically controlled tractor when a wire breaks.....

i have allways liked deere until there new tractors came out we have a 2005 6420 and the dumb E.P.A is making everything more efficient and the tractor runs horrible because they got 12000 pounds of pressure running though the lines so no smoke will blow but the problem is the tractor is a 4cylinder and ONLY 90hp

i own a ford 4000 which is a very small tractor but i can garuntee that it will out run eny of todays newest tractors.i also own a ferguson which are the most shitiest tractors in the world hands down we own a 690 4by4 and as soon as the going gets a bit rough it brakes down there are also loads of more faults which i have found the tractor is very low and the axle widths are too short which leads to it getting rolled very often.

hey we had a fendt and it was 2 much of pussy to handle our 1790 john deere planter. Johndeere is much more simple than fendt and also much heavier. They also R the most fuel effient tractors if you dont believe read the soy bean digest it will tell you

Fendt was, is and will be always the best tractor in the world. In technology, power, design etc. Don't forget......it is a EUROPEAN Tractor......not these diesel guzzling American tractors like Deere. Nothings stinks like John Deere but runs like a Fendt!!

Fendt makes the FASTEST and most technologically advanced tractors in the world. I've seen Fendt 936 Black Beauty Varios on roadways exceeding 40 MPH and they remind me of Batmobiles. At least Fendt offers some choice of colors (green or black body color and red or white wheels) for its tractors although I wish Fendt would offer black wheels and accents as options for its Black Beauty tractors to make them appear 'totally' black.

lol - as I saw the JD telehandler - we had one of the last, every 200h there appeared a new malfunction. And the JD tractors we used, haven´t been really reliable... The telehandler is now a Claas Scorpion and the tractors bought / used now are either Steyr CVT or Fendt. And you can believe it or not - they are running fine!

The only point JD is best: Is advertising and public relations!!! ...but most people aren´t clever enough to check it...

the motor didn´t run under cold condition, the rear axle lost a drain screw while working, the seat suspension, the roof wiper and the scales failed, from time to time the lift arm sank down unwanted... ...all this has nothing to do with machine care and appeared within 1800h....

so dream on .. ;-)

I definitly agree with the title. John Deere is the best.

We got 2 of them too, a 7 year 6220, and a 15 year old 2850. But i rather drive the 2850, cause the 6220 got to much elektric shit on board. It peeps all the way, and the there's nothig wrong. Probably my fault, but i go for the old ones.

John Deeres, like all other production tractors, are all MUCH TOO SMALL to effectively handle the increasing demands of today's and tomorrow's biggest farms and ranches although they're ideal for small or medium-sized farms/ranches. We need to build FAR BIGGER tractors and implements to better handle the demands of today's and tomorrow's biggest farms and ranches. By the way, which tractor brand is best is, of course, a matter of opinion. As far as I'm concerned, all tractor brands are equal.
