  • Lots of simple-minded distorting statements here. Warren says nothing about "the rich"--in fact, in a minor sense, at about the same level as Ron Paul, she *is* the rich--I think both of them have a net worth around $10 million. So, Warren did not say she has an issue with folks who get rich starting businesses--she said she has an issue with how *banks* are doing business. And Ron Paul has an issue with how banks are doing business too.

  • carpetbagger...

  • She didn't stand up to the big banks she was overseeing the tarp committee since like 2008, overseeing the allocation of hundreds of billions of dollars to bail out big banks. She didn't stand up to shit.

  • She acts like the rich detract from society as opposed to contribute to it. If I build a factory I have to pay for it, I have to pay the workers, I have to buy the land, buy the materials, transport the materials and pay taxes on all of that; more than any other income bracket. What is she talking about "the rest of the us paid for"? "Paying forward for the next kid who comes along" means give more money to me (the government) because I know how to spend it better than you (and they don't).

  • shes the one who disagree with ron paul

  • @lachule1992 Ron Paul disagree a lot people.

  • not saying u had a silver spoon & im sure ur parents had to work very hard for what they got.....just dont pass off what u "got" as being poor. i work grave shift. only 32hrs a week. soon as day breaks im going down to the welfare office & apply for food stamps & foodbank vouchers. $15 n my pocket & a whole week to go b4 payday.

  • ok, 1st i want to say i think what ur doing is just & great. but as a member of the poor working (or should i say barely working) class im sick of upper middle class trying to pass them self off as 1 of me! that pic of u IN A DRIVE WAY OF A VERY NICE HOME AND A VERY NICE WELL KEPT CAR are tell tale signs that things were not THAT bad for u.

  • She was basically forced to resign from Obama's administration - that was a sad day for all Americans, whether they're capable of understanding it or not (gotta love those Tea Partyers). It was a relief to hear she hadn't given up, and was running for the Senate. Hopefully that will be a stepping stone to bigger and better things in 2016. The country needs her, and many more like her.

  • "I'm Elizabeth Warren and I'm a big government statist!"

  • Anybody against Elizabeth Warren is against babies and puppies! oh and ice cream too!

  • we need 50 more of her

  • She is a socialist. That is the simple plain fact.

  • Support Elizabeth Warren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck Scott Brown and all the rest of the GOP scum!

  • She's the reason I want to be involved in politics, basically.

  • Elizabeth Warren, I wish I was a USA citizen, just to vote for DECENT and HONEST Politicians like you, simply in the hope that not just the hard working people of the USA, but also people of the World, can trade with each other on equal and sensible footing applying economic principles that ensure a meal and a bed,and a roof for each and every family on this Earth. COMPASSION and not CONFLICT that our present world in most in need now.

  • I love Elizabeth Warren. I f I lived in Massachusetts I would vote for her. She's one of the few honest people who we can trust. I really hope that she wins

  • I'm starting to understand why the Democrats love Elizabeth Warren so much. I'd vote for her in a second if I lived in MA.

  • @IWEEW You're right; hard working people like the middle class family she comes from should be able to keep more of their money. How about we save them a fortune in taxes by cutting off the corporate subsidies we hand out to big businesses?

  • @LadyTaraJo

How about we stop subsidizing failure with the welfare system as well? Why do you leftists want to keep some forms of handouts and not others?

  • @s9z9s Welfare needs to be looked at, sure, but the reason they were started is that it costs us less in the long run to have welfare than it does to deal with the consequences later. I mean, if my choice is to starve or rob a liquor store, I'll rob the liquor store. Then we have to hire more police officers, build more jails and prisons to hold the prisoners, more courts and judges and attorneys for my case and I still get my room and board paid for in jail. Welfare is simply cheaper.

  • @s9z9s Also, the welfare system is just a drop in the bucket compared to corporate subsidies and the defense budget. Why can't we ever seem to look at cutting any of those? Why is it little Timmy and his food is less important to society than the tax breaks going to Paris Hilton and Ken Lay?

  • @LadyTaraJo

Have you taken a look at breakdowns of federal spending? Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security make up 43% of federal spending, with Defense at 19%. Unless you're willing to touch the big three entitlements, the country is finished, as they're just going to grow larger and cost more and more as the years go by. And the welfare state doesn't alleviate poverty, it institutionalizes it. As for corporate subsidies, you're preaching to the choir, as I'm completely against it.

  • @s9z9s Show me where you get these stats. I can't argue with what I don't know. However, what I can tell you is that social security is money that we've already been putting into the system. It's a really shitty thing to do to take social security away from someone who has been paying into it their entire life and is depending on it to survive when they're just a few years from retirement. Truth is, it's hard to calculate federal spending that easily anyway.

  • @LadyTaraJo I'm also going to say, some of the most prosperous generations in US History became that way because of entitlement programs. The pioneers were able to buy land dirt cheap because of a government program that let them buy land at a low price as long as they developed it. The baby boomer generation was able to use GI Bills and regulations from the New Deal to get a better life and make the move to the suburbs. Yes, government assistance and regulations can and have helped Americans

  • @LadyTaraJo

Let's be straight with each other. How much of that prosperity had to do with the fact that the USA emerged from WWII as the only industrial power which didn't have its economy, and much of its population and infrastructure decimated? What we can do with Social Security is to wean ourselves off of it, finding ways to encourage people to voluntarily opt out. We just need to have the discussion. And if you don't believe my numbers, look at a graph of federal spending for yourself.

  • @s9z9s What I believe is a lot of people have been so spoiled by life here in the USA that their prespective is skewed. SS is the most popular and successful govt. program ever, and conservetives hate it. It pays for it's self, we pay as we go, and without it old people will be starving in the streets. If that's what you want, then start your own contry some place else, because we don't need to go backwards over idealistic longing for a past way of life we cannot reclaim. Step up to the future.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

And another thing, Social Security isn't paying for itself; it's in the red. Also, you know that I don't want anyone to starve on the street, so don't give me these emotional appeals.

  • @s9z9s SS is not in the "red", there are things that could be done to make it better, but that's a far cry from getting rid of it. As long as people pay into it from the money they make, and it does not get tapped by greedy Republicans, it will be solvent for many years to come. Only in the conservietive blogisphere bubble is SS considered a problem based on falty facts. They don't like it because it DOES work, and it's an example of how wrong they are on every level. They don't care who starves

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Social Security is paying out more than it takes in; hence, it's in the red. Stealing from Social Security? Like the payroll tax cut Obama pushed so hard for? Like the Democrats stealing $500 billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare? Do you see why I don't want so much of my money in the hands of the federal government? And once again, nobody wants anyone to starve. Emotional appeals are a type of logical fallacy It's your ideology which has caused mass starvation, not mine.

  • @s9z9s Republican amendments to SS that allow people who never paid into SS to get it are what causes the problem, and that is easy enough to fix, but Republicans don't want to "fix" it, they want to get rid of it. Medicare needs to be expanded on and made available for ALL Americans in the first place. The pocket change of Bank of America and GE could practically pay for all of that, but they get away with not paying any taxes! Your logic is to let the wealthy get more and the poor get less!

  • @OmegaEnigma1

And of course we want to get rid of the current Medicare and SS systems. Look at the proportion of federal spending that goes to entitlements. It's bankrupting us.

  • @s9z9s SS is not even in the same pot with the rest of our tax money, it's a completely seperate program, and it has no effect on the deficit.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

And of course Social Security adds to the deficit. What do you think happens when it's paying out more than it takes in?

  • @s9z9s NO, it does not. Look, SS has been acumulated in it own seperate trust fund by working class people since it began, The government does not use it for anything except paying out the benifits to those who legally gain them. It's slowly being depleated and will be in trouble in 15 - 20 years down the road if people do not start getting jobs and incomes to add back into it. It would no doubt help if they quit giving it out to drug abusers and fraud runners, but that requires RESTRUCTURING.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Once again, you're running away from the facts. Social Security is right now, paying out more than it takes in; hence, it's adding to the deficit. Why do you find this so hard to understand?

  • @IWEEW Why do you hate America ?

  • @lovetitleist69 What, specifically, that she said makes you think she's a "socialist pig?"

  • "She's a witch! Socialist witch! Burn her! She turned me into a newt! ... I got better..."

  • If I lived in your state You would have my vote for sure. So when can we see you running for President Ms Warren, I cant wait. Many of us want you to run for President as soon as possible. I respect you, You speak Truth to Power and you do so with Intelligence and Charm.

  • We love you Elizabeth! You're a true American hero and advocate when we so desperately need someone good in this corrupt system.

We believe in you because you believe in us!

  • You are a hypocrite, millionaire, limousine liberal, you are part of the 1%... nothing but a stereotypical Massachuttes phony liberal

  • @69Desk 47% of Congress are millionaires, but only some of them are asking for their taxes to be raised. Is yours?

  • @donnyforte2 When you raise taxes (15 trillion dollar debt now) you are more inclined to grow a big government bureacracy that needs the money to actually maintain itself then providing actual services, is where we are at today.

  • @69Desk The problem here is that you want to cut programs that were not responsible for our debt at large. When you cut into SS (trillions) to hide debt or provide tax breaks to the wealthy without paying for it or go to wars on a credit card or expand medicare without paying for it, like Bush did, you lots of problems. You also have problems with three Republicans deciding to repeal Glass-Steagall, and it didn't help that Bush's budget plan didn't end until 2010 either.

  • @69Desk You also can't hold unemployment benefits hostage to ensure the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy don't expire. These kinds of combinations bring unhealthy dose of poison to an economy.

  • @donnyforte2 Extended unemployment has done much more harm to the economy then just about anything... Even Keyesian economists would not advise tax increases during a continued downturn

  • Anyone who is against Elizabeth Warren is basically against equality and justice. America does have a comic book villian underside that secretly hates anything fair, and worships greed & boggotry, so all they do is spout off pointless, factless garbage every chance they get.All they really do is make America look ugly to the rest of the world.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

America is ugly either way. Your country is finished and not a single Liberal, communist, conservative, socialist or anarchist will save you now. You bit the bullet, 30 years ago and now its time for your slow steady decline. Why? Because Americans should not be allowed to vote for their government. You people are no damn good at it.

  • @Reido2828 I can't deny there is some truth to what you say, but what do we do about it? Just give up and lay down in dispair? No, 1 person like this can't fix it all, but if there are enough of them like her, we can keep getting 3 steps forward for every 2 steps backwards we take. Not everyone here is nasty and destructive, so those people still have a chance to make a difference. No matter how loud they are, the haters are still in the minority, for now.....

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Haters? Meaning what? Most Americans including Mrs. Warren here are directly responsible for this. So many people on the left actually think the Democrats are supreme because they're not corruptible. Truth is both parties have been bought out and while Warren has some good ideas, its unfortunate because those days are over. Look up here on youtube "Obama outsourcing jobs to china" and see for your self.

  • @Reido2828 OK, watched the video, and you blame Obama for that? Actually, we should send him that video so he can see what is wrong and maybe do something about that also, but I doubt if he deliberately & directly handed that money over to the Chinese contractors, the State governments made those decisions. This does examplify one of the main problems, people need to pay attention to the rest of the government, not just the President. Both parties are NOT the same, you need to see that.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

No no you need to see that both parties are the same. Why would you need to send the president of the United states a video informing him of foreign contractors? Another problem is when obama passed his health care bill. Why did the stocks go up? Theres so much unanswered questions with this administration, just like the Bush Cheney crew.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

What you Marxists call "fairness" is in reality, stealing from some to take for yourself and others. You don't want to look in the mirror and face the fact that it's what you represent which is true greed and villainy.

  • @s9z9s I see, so by your standard sharing is greedy and hoarding generous? Seems to me the consevative way is like the law of the jungle, everyone fends for them selves. That's too kind of an example really, because if consevatives have their way, we will be living like they did in the Dark Ages of old Europe! Each state will be it's own country with a king and we'll have old school Fudelism! Women will have no rights, poor people will be slaves, and wealthy people will wallow in luxury! Lovely.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Wanting people to keep more of their money is greedy, and stealing it for yourself and your friends is considered generous? I don't think you're fully aware of just how grotesque such a worldview is. And it's your ideology which is a throwback to the failed utopianism of the 20th century. How many mass deaths have to occur around the world until you understand that command economies don't work?

  • @s9z9s People can keep more of their money if they can make more money. They can make more money if there is more money to go around. There is more money to go around if wealthy people & companies are not sitting on it and investing in other countries. If they are investing it in home made products and local jobs, they will keep the money making machine running. Who is going to make that happen? The privat citzen and good intentions? Ideals? No, only government can enforce that factor.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Here's the problem: "People can keep more of their money if..." Why is someone's right to keep what they rightfully earned contingent upon anything? And the wealthy don't sit on their money; they invest it, which drives the economy (even if it's investment in other countries). In what way do you want the government to enforce these ideas of yours? Make imported goods illegal, or raise tariffs? Do you believe doing such things will actually help the economy?

  • @s9z9s The uber wealthy do NOT reinvest back in our country, that is exactly the problem. They put it in off shore bank accounts and invest in 3rd world sweat shops that keeps it from returning to the very country in which it was made, US! It was those very trickle down economics ideals that has eroded our economy and wrecked US over the last 30 years. Yes, we need solid regulations on all money and a govenment big enough and strong enough to enforce it. The Republican ideal is pure anarchy.

  • @OmegaEnigma1

Money does not vanish into thin air when it goes overseas. That's why studies have found outsourcing to result in a net gain in jobs. Wealth flows in a free market. And what's wrong with investing in bank accounts? What do banks do with the money? They invest it, which is where they make their money. That drives the economy. And what's wrong with so-called sweat shops? They provide work to people who need it, and no one is forcing anyone to work at any of these places.

  • @s9z9s O for... A Gain in jobs for people who do not live in the USA, that's a big help for US. Off shore bank accounts exist so people like Mitt Romney can hide his fortune and not pay taxes on it. Nothing wrong with sweat shops if you have no problem with the violation of human rights and exposure to harmful enviorments that will kill most of them before they are 35. Wy not ask what's wrong with theft, slavery, and murder while you're at it? Explaining what is right & wrong, where have U been?

  • @OmegaEnigma1

No one's forcing anybody to work in these sweat shops. The people in these developing countries choose to work for them because they provide the best jobs available. If you were to force them to close down, you would find a lot of these people forced out on the streets to prostitute themselves. And do you have any proof for this allegation that Mitt Romney is not paying his taxes in full?

  • @s9z9s If you think that exploiting people who have little or no options in bug infested sweat shops life is a good thing, there is no point in going any further with this. The real world is beyond U

  • Any society that aims for equality before liberty will have neither, but any society that aims for liberty first. Will have equality following along with it.

  • Warren 2016!!!!

  • @MrNewtGingrich jeff merkeley 2016

  • A new government agency! Yay!

  • @zingomingo Yeah let's keep banks ripping off the American People !! yeah let's send them Billion in we paid in stupid fees.. Yeah that sounds great.....

  • @XJuanwikoX The banks are ripping us off and the bailouts were obscene. Absolutely correct. However, I roll my eyes whenever I hear of plans for another level of bureaucracy. It will only be stacked with politically-connected players and ultimately prove totally ineffectual. The solution is to do the following: 1.) prevent the Fed Reserve from providing them artificially low interest rates (this increases risk) and 2.) allow them to actually sink when they eff up—no effing bailouts!

  • @zingomingo Well indeed a new government agency it's not always the solution but some times is need it. But I don't agree on giving them some kind of welfare with tax breaks and or something like that. Nor I agree on giving welfare to (mostly black, latino lazy ass people who only want to ripp off the taxpayer. But then again we can create a consumer agency but what would happen to it when a republican president gets into the whitehouse .Government=shit

  • She would make a great president! She can fight the banks and change political greed and corruption!

  • @MClown69 Didn't the entire world thought of Obama of that?

They are all bunch of liars!

  • We need more like her around!

  • if your in the video, and your verbally stating the message, do you really need to say, "i am E.W. and i approve this message." ??? ?

  • @loneshark2000 In American politics, "I approve this message" (sometimes in the past tense, also with "authorize" in place of "approve", or with "ad" instead of "message") is a phrase said by candidates for federal office in political advertisements on television and radio in order to comply with the so-called Stand By Your Ad provision of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA), enacted in 2002.

  • @Darrknox understood... BUT, when the ad or message is being iterated by the person, its sound completely "retarded" to have to verbally state this message. now, if the ad or message was narrated by a speaker, or conveyed a message that did not verbally come from the candidate, i can see how it may be necessary to have to state it... but even then... what a load of bullshit!

  • @loneshark2000 That's American Law for you.

  • Give 'em hell Elizabeth!!! Thanks for all you efforts over the many years!!!

  • In 1995 Warren was asked to advise the National Bankruptcy Review Commission. She helped to draft the commission's report and then spent several years opposing legislation meant to severely restrict the right of consumers to file for bankruptcy. Warren and others opposing the legislation were not successful and in 2005 the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 was passed by Congress.[16]

Ms. Warren has been involved for a long time in consumer protection.

  • yippie another socialist commiecrat who wants to take my paycheck and give it to thier beloved illegal aliens who sit on thier asses and take up all the oxygen

  • I'll hold my thoughts till the final months of the election

  • socialist

  • @Madfoot713 Ha, I wish!

  • @michaelwuzthere Why would you wish that? >___>

  • @Madfoot713 Because socialism (when done right) is a huge step up from the archaic system of capitalism.

  • @michaelwuzthere I'm glad you have more faith in big government than i do.

  • @kryptic8956 "Big government"? That's not what socialism is. Not by a long shot.

    Honestly, what pathetically childish terminology.

  • I'd vote for her.

  • You folks in Mass., please get her butt in congress. We need uncorrupted intelligence in there. It is ridiculously low right now.

  • Comment removed

  • You go Elizabeth !!!!

  • @kryptic8956 I'd like to know the same things.

  • and unlike all those "Other" politicians who's youtube accounts have comments blocked or comments pending approval, this awesome lady keeps her comments open. Only one other person does that.

    Ron Paul.

what a cool group of people. regargless of their different political background.

    Go Elizabeth Warren!!

    and Go Ron Paul!!

  • Hey Elizabeth to get my vote im just wondering..

    1. Are you against big government?

    2. Are you against the wars?

    3. Do you wanna end the F.E.D?

Do you wanna bring All the troops home?

    Thank you.

  • @kryptic8956 Can you give me a definition of what "Big Government" is? You Republicans keep complaining, yet none of you say what the term actually means. Is it all about taxes, or is it about getting rid of services the government provides. Like Police, fire, or public schools? Do you mean it's "every man for himself"?

  • @marilynr46 "Big Government" is a term generally used by political conservatives, laissez-faire advocates, or libertarians to describe a government or public sector which they consider to be excessively large, corrupt and inefficient, or inappropriately involved in certain areas of public policy or the private sector."You Republicans" please don't stereotype me your way wrong." Is it all about taxes" no its not. And i don't believe in the income tax.

  • You go, Elizabeth! Don't let the "crazies" get to you with their lies. We need more candidates like yourself!

  • Go Elizabeth!! Love ya!

There's soo many paid bullshitters out there trying to make us forget it was Wall St. banks that ruined the economy and want us to accept bullshit austerity for working people while the banksters face zero accountability!

Well FU*K that. We need Warren's voice and 100 more like her!

  • @orange343434

No, it was government intervention in the housing market that wrecked the economy. Do you realize that banking is the most regulated industry in the US? The banks were forced by law to give out loans to those who couldn't afford it.

  • @s9z9s That simply is not true at all. No one forced the banks. Look up "NINJA" loans. Crappy loans were made because they were quick profit for the originating banks. They sold these mortgages to big investment banks who also made quick profit by bundling these loans into falsely rated securities which they infected the global market with. Then there's the scam of buying phoney insurance for these crap securities from a company like AIG that needed to get bailed out. The info is out there.

  • WARREN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! :))))

  • Comment removed

  • Can we ditch Obama and put Elizabeth Warren at the helm?

  • @screaminpman Ditch the man that not only found her but tried to put her in a position to do something? Seriously...If Republicans werent so hell bent on destroying the nation just to regain power, Obama could have gotten a ton done to fix the shit Republicans created.

  • You have my vote too! With you in office, "the people's seat" would actually represent the interests of the people. Right now that particular seat is owned by big business.

  • She will be President in 2016.

  • @mofojim1 I think you are right. And by April of 2017 we'll be hearing Democrats whine about how she was obviously a Republican all along....

  • @mofojim1 Not if Goldman Sachs Security (aka FBI) has anything to say about it...

  • @mofojim1 I hope that she is in 2012... we can't afford to wait that long

  • By the way, how is all that bankster cash from out of state rolling into your coffers suiting you? If you only get 1/3rd of your money from the people who actually live here in Massachusetts, how can we trust you to represent us?

You said you laid the intellectual foundation for OWS. Does that mean you support public defecation, assault, rape, illicit drug use, robbery, vandalism, protesting without a permit, and all the other OWS abuses on MA residents? You aren't from here so I need to ask.

  • @DeckKnight - OWS demonstrators have the first amendment right to free speech. If you mean assault? how about the college kids sitting arm in arm, on the ground, without a word, and the police come along and pepper spray them. You think that is right? I think not. Peaceful demonstrations are happening all over, it is the infiltrators that are trying to put a bad mark on the OWS movement, those that are happy with Wall Street deregulations to fill their pockets at everyone else's expense.

  • Good to know she set up that consumer protection agency that did such a crackerjack job protecting us from government-banking collusion in 2008. Clearly another government agency responsible for taking the banksters out to dinner and serving as a revolving door for public employees is only going to do more good than was already achieved.

If you really want to help, get out of the way and let banks lend to people who meet their repayment standards. Government caused that mess, it can't fix it.

  • @DeckKnight Consumer protection agency was created AFTER 2008 :-)

  • @DeckKnight You must be an employee of Crossroads GPS--either that or a total moron. For the record: 1) the legislation providing for the establishment of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was not passed until 2010, well after the 2008 crisis; 2) Elizabeth was never allowed to run it because of the moronic Republicans who threatened to block her appointment; 3) those same moronic Republicans have just blocked the appointment of the "compromise" nominee, Richard Cordray.

  • @Seasass The United States has had consumer protection provisions in the banking industry since the 70's at least. A cursory glance at wikipedia under Consumer Protection would have told you as much. I know it's fun calling people morons on youtube, but try to educate yourself.

  • @DeckKnight You delight in nonsequiturs, don't you? Your implication in the earlier comment was that Elizabeth Warren was somehow in a position of responsibility for enforcing consumer protection well before the 2008 crisis, which is, of course, false, as other commenters have also pointed out.

  • Stay home hag, you're socialist dream has expired along with Obummer !

  • LOVE IT when Scott Brown minions flock to comment here. Warren has them SHAKING IN THEIR BOOTS. Scott brown you're going to be a one term senator...sorry.

  • Elizabeth: Thanks for letting the world know who you are--not just the voters in Massachusets. We need someone like you to help us stand up to the Big Banks and have a level playing field for working families. We do not need the gambling that Big Banks and others on Wall Street have been able to get away with so far, which is what wrecked the economy for the 99%!

  • @hobo59 haha another brained washed idiot..

  • PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST TRASH !!

  • @TheDuckseason hey dumb ass do some research on what progressive stands for.. stay away from FOX NEWS, it makes dumber than you already are..

  • @smekese I have , I have seen her in her own words and on video, not just fox and i do know what progressive means and I didnt learn it from fox news.

  • PLEASE RUN FOR PRESIDENT..... WARREN 2016!!

  • Can we clone her?

  • You got my vote!

  • Elizabeth: You've been my hero ever since I saw the Frontline episode: The Secret History of the Credit Card. Keep up the good fight. You are a good woman! We need you.

  • @tikamorris was the same Frontline i saw her on and you took my words...shes fantastic

  • Ms. Warren, you ROCK!

  • But Teddy, like Lincoln, was a real republican! I agree with @TheTraveller. Its no different with Media - less owners mean more power, less diversity and almost no competition. Not healthy - its almost socialism!

  • @agathachristieshit Reality is that 6 biggest banks own US economy right now. Bank Of America, Chase, City, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley. If any one of them would fail, then we have no choice but one again come up with money. This time it would be much more what we did in 2008. To get grow we need competition between banks. We need 30 banks in place of these 6. Warren see the issue. BTW: Teddy Roosevelt was republican, and he broke monopolies.

  • Oh my God she is a millionaire! Shock horror! Then she can't possibly do any good. Unfortunately, I also think she is educated as well. God forbid some who understands the legislative process gets in. Please pick Newt Gingrich for President. He was described as "a dumb person' s idea of what a smart person sounds like" ask him to run if you want down to earth. Nice piece @TheTraveller - I think by stupid they mean "female" and "socialist" means rational! More insults I'm sure will come!

  • @agathachristieshit You can not prove what you are saying too. H. Paulson did great job getting money from Congress in 2008. We did not have choice. But by temporary fixing situation, we place our self in even more dangerous place. We got 6 too big to fail banks. Liz knows this. She can craft legislation to break them. Brown is nice guy but he is not active in Congress.

  • Warren also said she was looking to get the "hick" vote. This woman is elitist, and a millionaire too. We need someone more down to earth. We need Scott Brown.

  • OMG My used toilet paper has come alive and is running for office in MA !

  • Stupid Socialist!

  • @Fratty124 You are double wrong. She is not stupid. And she is not socialist.

  • Homophobia, antisemitism and racism in one breath. You have demonstrated to everyone that you you only have hate and anger. Get some help, seriously. When you demean others you only demean yourself more.

Go Elizabeth - I'm moving to MA.

  • Why do you need to resort to insults? I wasn't talking about Elizabeth Warren - rather the loony right. 'Subjective bullshit' - what does that mean? You assume I am an Australian - Australia does however have 4% unemployment, low debt per GDP and a budget in surplus - sounds OK - is there anything OBAMA could do (apart from change color) that would please you? Please before you go mad, read some real books, watch some decent news programs and open your mind. BTW $787B is a lot of coffee!

  • Ah Shoot the messenger!. I love the science, climate and medical evidence deniers who reject any information that isn't from faux news or the 7 nutty candidates. Would you have let the banks and automobile companies fail and live with chaos and an unemployment rate of 15%? If you want evidence try the great depression..its seemed to work there..but I think you may be an ideologue who has been fed this rubbish from...the loony right...except for you guys the rest of the world seems to like him :)

  • @bossybadger - you have just proven my point about americans - i wouldn't quote economics either. You have absolutely no understanding of the situation - TARP was authorised to spend $700 billion, spent $400 billion and most of it (except for $104 million) has been paid back.

The stimulus kept the unemployment rate 1-2 % lower than it would have been. Abusing successful academics may make you happy but - a free market system is what caused the problem. @ThPikey is correct!

  • Elizabeth Warren is advocating for the middle class. She sees that the current distribution of wealth is unfair and aims to correct this. The republican base (composed of mostly of the lower-middle and working class) somehow finds fault with this. They call her names. They say that she is a socialist. They say that they want to see the rich get even richer. I don't understand how anyone can be so quick to vote against their own self-interest.

  • 1440 like it and 63 dislike it (the 1%) ..... Now you understand why there is a 99% occupy wall street movement

  • Yes, we need you in the Senate!!!

  • Elizabeth, keep up the fight! We need you in the White House!

  • I would like to believe that most Americans aren't as inarticulate, stupid, rude and ignorant as many of these posts demonstrate. Not a rational comment among them, just vulgarity. Not the sort of people you would ever want to meet, just sad types that blame the world for their own failures.

  • Then why do you not want to treat the OWS protests with the same rules and regulations as Tea Party protests?

  • @blackpower7611 And whose dick has been in your ass.

  • @blackpower7611 "Who I Am" "I am Chairman Mao with a wig"

  • @sillynanny44 What a douche bag...I mean, YOU!
