hail hail alma matter hail to de la salle will hold your banner high and bright a sheild of green and white, will fight to keep your glory bright and never shall we fail, hail to thee our alma matter, hail hail hail...ANIMO la salle..proud to be a lasallian
nice vid! hail to De La Salle! nice to see my schools' sister college in cali showing De La Salle... from your sister schools in the Philippines, De La Salle Philippines (its a group of 18 Lasallian schools here)...
You guys did an awesome job with that video. I'm very impressed. Wow! That must've taken a lot of time to film the video... particularly in Olver Hall. Great job! :)
nice promo video; i'm an smc alumni class of '06. i'd been in lasallian education for high school and college, but smc changed the way i saw him. originally, st. john baptiste de la salle taught the poor, illiterate, and disenfranchised youth of france, yet the school, it's financiers, most students and their families economically well-off to pay the 40K-a year tuition are hardly impoverished. although i appreciate the education, i sometimes wonder what DLS would think if he were alive today.
I had a guy in my class, a couple actually, that I knew about, that would not have been able to earn their bachelor's without the Brothers support. Most were fairly well off when i was there, too. But, not everyone. I am sure that if they could swing it the Brothers would help a lot more people. Some people send them some of their extra money for just that purpose. Imagine.
theyre teaching the well-off so they can get the money to teach the poor and do their charity work. thats what De La Salle did, he made some brothers set up schools for the rich. and works of charity is better when they're not known by others.
