  • great work cabin crew for being so courageous

  • Why are the dozy women screaming? You ain't hurt, you ain't anywhere near the damn thing.

  • congratulation for the fire fighter who stood watching this accident, LIVE!!!

  • FUCK YEAH !!!!

  • my dick so small im a Chinese

  • great work by the fire trucks not!

  • I hope everyone in the airport enjoyed their flights after watching this.....I certainly wouldn't!!!!! :P

  • Thats not a 737, the 737's are

    Not that long!

  • @sad1eluvsme

you are clearly wrong this could be a 737-900 the longest version of a 737. And looking at the wingtips i think every one agrees it is a 737!

  • @drummingpilot It is a B737-800 as China Airlines doesn't operate -900s...

  • @drummingpilot Registration: B-18616, 20 August 2007 - Flight CI120 from Taipei to Okinawa caught fire during taxi operations at Okinawa Airport

  • oh damn! I wanted an airplane exploding on soil.. :( DAMN IT!

  • Took a while for the fire crew to arrive?

  • @MrUAV100 According to some, the explosion was known to be inevitable prior to it actually happening, as there was a leaking fuel line - hence, the fire crews waited for it before going in to fight the fire.

  • you can see the pilots falling to the ground as it explodes. They escaped through cockpit window?

  • so scaryy ,..

  • Boeing 737 has one of the best safety records of any commercial airliner. I'd put a lot fo money on bad maintenance from China Airlines as the problem

  • SHIT! My lunch was in there!

  • I think the safest part of the plane is the part that has an open exit and isn't on fire at the moment.

  • What took the fire crews so long to respond?

  • you left the heater on and ignited the fuel. good job, boeing.

  • This makes me want to watch Die Hard 2

  • Comment removed

  • That happened with boeing

  • FUCKKK im going on a plane in 5 hours and idk which top comment to belive.....

  • Damm thats that runway closed sorry those flights inbound you have to go home if you can

  • Thus, dozens of flights were cancelled due to passengers thinking "Fuck this shit!"

  • How long are cabin crew trained to evcuate an aircraft? I'm sure it's 6 minutes! Common cabin crew you know the precise answer.

  • Holy shit!

  • @MultiSucker123 Yeah really funny, i fucking hate people like you, I mean i can't even fucking live normally, there has to be some fool around with these kind of comments on Chinese. And you even put a smiley there, whilst there could be a lot of deaths of that explosions, and you're the one with your smiley.

  • oh my God very bad

  • Why the firefighter needed so long to reach the plane????

  • super boom!

  • Safest place to sit in an airplane I would say in the middle over the wings. That's the strongest part of the airplane. Same distance between front and back exits as well as side emergency exits to the wings.

  • Tell me again, what's the response time for the Fire Department at the airport?

  • '...burst into flames and exploded... on the tarmac... at an airport...' Where else do planes park?

  • Tricia Takanawa Reporting.

  • Oh my ghud-nah! 0:38

  • @DotCmaker01 Boeing is made in USA. And the operator is Taiwan, not China.

  • Well what do you expect it was made in china

  • Get your shit together China.

  • @cory2146 China Airlines is Taiwanese (OK - it's the Republic of China, but I think you meant the People's Republic of China)

  • @ajebism China air;lines is from Taipei not Taiwan sorry

  • Milliseconds before the explosion the cockpit crew decide to 'eject' out of the escape windows.

  • The safest place to sit in in the terminal

  • 'minutes after evacuation' more like seconds if you watch the original footage, also sitting in the back of the plane makes you more likely to get trapped and be burned alive by the jet fuel in the event of a crash

  • @JuanchoMan Statistics point to the tail section as the safest place. Severe crashes tend to prove this theory as many times the only survivors are in this section. However I think that depends on whether the engines are mounted there (DC9/MD80, L1011, DC10 etc) or not. True that the spar carry though is the strongest, but this works to a disadvantage as the wings tend to hit objects and break this section apart. The tail section is light and is the last to arrive:)

  • 90 seconds is the time that the kerosene is To Burn

in the normal evacuation in a plane you've got 90 seconds to leave

    not surprising !

  • safest place is not on the plane.....

  • There's no "safe place" to sit on an aircraft. It's all dependent on what type of emergency is, though the wingbox is the strongest section of the aircraft.

  • Made in china! thats Y

  • Shame ! Failed to mention the responding times to the fire.

  • Woahh , Woahhh , Woahhh ! omg !

  • @genrolecaspe Get it right. China Airlines belongs to Taiwan. The airplane in question is a Boeing 737 which was made in Everett, Washington. AKA, the United States.

I wish you people would think (and perhaps do some research) before saying stupid shit like that.

  • @tranquillofdarkness Calm down. It's a joke, not a political argument.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 But a joke doesn't work if it isn't based on truth.

  • @Milesco Ever seen stand-up comedy (I'm assuming you have)? Not a whole lot of truth involved there.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 Ah, but it's BASED on truth. For a joke to work, it has to have a nugget of truth at its core. Jerry Seinfeld (a stand-up comedian) made a career out of pointing out things we all know to be true. (Typically in the form of "Did you ever notice...?" You know, like the stereotypical old joke about bags of airline peanuts being impossible to open, etc.)

    [to be continued]

  • @Milesco I guess so, but nowadays people tend to laugh more at improper grammar and lolcats, so the whole definition of "humor" is slowly redefining itself.

  • @genrolecaspe Made in USA, Serviced in Japan, company owned by pro-US Taiwan Government

Accident occurred in Okanawa. Nothing at all to do with China you racist dumb bats.

  • why do american planes and cars immediately burst into flames? just the other day i was at a red light and a dodge stratus next to me burst in to flames.

  • An hour? Jesus christ.

  • At the front of the plane you can see passangers going back for their luggage until the explosion happens.

  • Made In China

  • @thequesomanishere

WRONG! boeing 737 is made in USA. if it is boeing, i aint going. just like yankee cars.

  • I have seen the full video. The fire started in the engine and burned for some time before it took hold in the wing. the plane could have been saved if the fire crew got there earlier ..... I think they must have been at lunch at the time.

  • asu madre q xplocion

  • This only shows the safest place to sit on the plane is at the front or the back of the plane. Stay away from the middle because it is a death trap!

  • @pspecho no place is safe although looking at all the crashes your statement is completely wrong. When a horrible plane crash occurred the only survivors are seated in the middle of the aircraft. I love aviation and watch a lot of NTSB files haha

  • @pspecho

Not true. The safest place is just forward of the wings (ahead of the fuel in the wings) This is also the strongest part of the plane as the wing spar goes right through the fusilage. Statisticly people seated in this area have the greatest chance of survival.

  • @TheSpiritof1969 oh so you think the couple thousand degree fire from the fuel 10 feet behind ya won't do nothin' huh.

  • @TheTruthHurtsYup

In the event of a crash landing and the plane breaks up those seats offer the best chance of survival and, hopefully, the spilt fuel from the wings will be left further back along the debris trail. That is a statistical fact. If you are still in one peice and have not got broken bones and are still concious you have the best chance of getting out the wreck before it is consumed by fire.

  • @TheSpiritof1969 Don't be ignorant

    popularmechanics com/technology/aviation/safety/4219452

  • @juanjillocr

The popular Mechanics conclusion is simplistic because it includes all crashes and is therefore misleading. If you read back through my comments I am referring specificly to aircraft break up on a runway. In te case of unintentional landings on water those same seats become the most dangerous.

  • @TheSpiritof1969 Sure, dude, whatever you say is more accurate

  • @juanjillocr

Maybe yes maybe no. There is no difinitive answer..

It is a complicated issue and the way various experts manipulate statists does not exactly give me much faith in anything they say.

Personally I prefer a widow seat somewhere behind the wing but not near the dunnys and it was much better in the old days when you could light a ciggy and drink yourself pissed if you wanted to.If the pilot loses it I'll just take my chances :)

  • @pspecho although it is the safest place to sit during a crash

  • @pspecho doesn't matter when you're in the fucking air :D

  • @pspecho not true because sometimes the back of the plane gets ungulfed in flames if it crashes, or it can break off and ur fucked. or the front can go down first and everyone dies at the front but the ppl at the tail live. so i guess you chose if you live by where u sit.

  • It'll buff out :D

  • scary!!!

  • made in china...

  • @kashahyah Boeing is made in USA!!!

  • planes are cunts

  • @EazZiB you are cunt...it was cheap bogus spare part wich penetrated the fuel tank...on tray of wing flap....so maintenance is cunt...not the plane

  • @drome123 sorry aviation expert lol u need life insurance

  • Guy on the far left @ 0:32 just found his body's nitrous button. lol

  • Made in china

  • @TheFlyleafArmy clearly not a joke so don't try to save face by claiming it a joke when it was really just a bone head comment!

  • @damo010 Hey, dumbass it was a joke because I knew it was from America but it flew in from China and so I... just forget it if you're too moronic to recognize a fucking joke.

  • @TheFlyleafArmy again clearly not a joke and if it was then a very poor one at that, however i suspect its just naked xenophobia by a brainless moron!

  • @damo010 *facepalm* The joke was that it was from China... made in China... get it now, dipshit? Sheesh! It's retards like you that make mortality look good.

  • @TheFlyleafArmy morality?? your the dick who is making unfunny xenophobic jokes! ps your spelling is crap too!

  • @damo010 First, I got nothing against forigners. Second, you're the dumbass who clearly doesn't know when a person is simply joking. Third, it's MORTALITY you idiot! I meant to spell it like that! Your reading is crap.

  • @TheFlyleafArmy grow up you child and learn to be more funny!

  • @damo010 I will when you can tell the difference between the words "mortality" and "morality".

AssociatedPressNews video of this incident, pplz =)

  • Ok, they all escaped unharmed but what about their luggage!?

  • Wow! I'm glad everybody got out in time...

  • If U LOOK CLOSE, YOU'LL SEE A PILOT JUMPING OUT THE WINDOW. HOW FORTUNATE HE WAS. :D

  • @halowarmsmyheart There were people behind the plane running east. That isn't the pilot..

  • No, the pilots are escaping from the cockpit window

  • At what time?

  • I hope it does.

  • LMAO!

  • i was there that time i was going to china

  • At 2:19 it looks EXACTLY like one of my old paper planes I burned with the magnifying glass. No seriously the paper plane was in fact a passenger jet, I glued it together but it didnt hold while drying and ended up caddywhompus. So I caught it on fire.

  • How fortunate everyone was. It was caused by a leak in an engine. It could have happened in the air.

  • пиздец...

  • i saw that on a show and if you look closley u can see the pilot was holding on to the windows and he said he was makeing sure every one got off the plane

  • @helipro555 yea, i think he's the only one that really sustained any real injury by jumping off from the cockpit.

  • That's what happens when fuel tank explodes.....where was the FIRE TEAM during all this........

  • WOW!! I'm happy that there were no casualties!!! The Crew is to be commended for getting all out<
