Probably because I was a kid at the time, but there is something magical to me when I see scenes of NYC in the 80's..."working girl" "baby boom", for example...magic!
I have a sudden craving for apple sauce!!!! Ha ha!!!! This is back when movies left something to the imagination and the element of romance was precious and cherished....not like the dirt of today.....I wish I could go in a time machine back to these times....well I guess I can by watching this!!!!
It's as if she knows her "mom" is thinking of leaving that nice little town. (Same look as when she was talking to the adoption agency on the phone at the beginning).
