He has three children by his second wife/Irene while still married at the time of his death: Fiona (8),Frankie Marvin (9),& April (18). Frankie died of cancer in 2001 at the age of (59). There's another single he released in 89,'Extrordinary Girl. The album is also called,"My Brother.

The first CD I ever bought of all the Motorcity stuff was Hot Productions' "Best Of Motorcity Vol. 2" which really blew me with the wonderful songs and utterly spectacular vocals. I still get the chills of hearing Chuck Jackson's "All Over The World" and this haunting tribute to Marvin from Frankie Gaye.
A musician who had his back to the camera, behind Frankie, complained that his image was visible on the video, and demanded payment if the video wasn't removed. So we edited him out completely.
Yes originally, but he became so obnoxious that we had to delete all trace of him just to make him go away. The funny thing is he claimed to care about Frankie, but Frankie's wife Irene was thrilled that I kept his memory alive with these videos.
I wondered what happened to this video. I'm glad that it's back up. As I said before Frankie sure looked and sounded like Marvin and that was a great tribute.
We were so sorry to hear of the trouble you had with this video and being forced to re-edit it. Keep your chin up. There are still some nice people left in the music business, and not everyone is that unreasonable. As it happens, this new version looks better than it did before.

Im so glad i got to meet him, Meeting him was just as good as meeting Marvin, and i got Kim Weston to thank for that, Frankie was such a cool cat, just a really nice guy

This was played on Radio 2 this morning during the Alex Lester show as requested by myself through Lester's Library ..... Hattie Little has been requested ... I have also requested Flirtations from 'Yesterday and Tomorrow' .... I sent Alex an email about the new album .....

I've normally kind of given up on wasting copies by sending them to Radio Stations who never play them.

You could try Alex Lester c/o Birmingham Radio, he works on Radio 2 - it was played at 5.45am on Thursday you can listen again

Ian first thank you for the response. I dont know you personally, however i fill i met you spiritually. Your heart and great work,s you have shared yes i saw the trailer and next month i will be financially able to purchase that. Your a great Lady and i will help in any way i can volunteer my time.
One question if i may???? When and how did Frankie Gaye die??? Such a tradgedy,yet he left a lovely wife and beautiful children to keep me going. I just was not aware of his passing.

Oh Irene, it's so wonderful to hear from you and I miss you so much. April was only 4 when you stayed at my house. I had loads of trouble with that sax player and I had to re-edit this whole video. He tried to force me to remove it altogether, but I wanted Frankie to be remembered, and I knew you'd love it if I could just contact you.

The first CD I ever bought of all the Motorcity stuff was Hot Productions' "Best Of Motorcity Vol. 2" which really blew me with the wonderful songs and utterly spectacular vocals. I still get the chills of hearing Chuck Jackson's "All Over The World" and this haunting tribute to Marvin from Frankie Gaye.

A musician who had his back to the camera, behind Frankie, complained that his image was visible on the video, and demanded payment if the video wasn't removed. So we edited him out completely.

Yes originally, but he became so obnoxious that we had to delete all trace of him just to make him go away. The funny thing is he claimed to care about Frankie, but Frankie's wife Irene was thrilled that I kept his memory alive with these videos.

I wondered what happened to this video. I'm glad that it's back up. As I said before Frankie sure looked and sounded like Marvin and that was a great tribute.

We were so sorry to hear of the trouble you had with this video and being forced to re-edit it. Keep your chin up. There are still some nice people left in the music business, and not everyone is that unreasonable. As it happens, this new version looks better than it did before.
