@Frezzed Download the world file and putting it into the saves folder of your local copy of minecraft. From there, proceed like normal.

@jemery2016 I did it step by step. Nothing I did was "computer guru" level. I would recommend taking some basic level computer classes (ask them how to turn off your caps lock, for instance) and come back when you have a better foundation.

@Star12312312345 In what way? 7zip supports more formats, is fully free ("shareware" is not free) and does better compression with it's 7z format. Feel free to use it if you prefer, but I use 7zip and encourage people to use it whenever I'm asked how to open up a weird file-type.

Hey, is there any way, or program, that can map out a minecraft world without the save file, e.g.you just enter the seed and it maps it out so you can scroll around and it creates as you go?

@StefanPetrucci I don't know of any third-party program that does this and I couldn't find one in a quick Google search, but I would not be surprised if it exists. The problem is that every time minecraft updates the world-gen engine it changes how a particular seed generates.

This is a great program, but doesn't show "entire" maps. Usually entire means out to like 100000 blocks on each side. But still a great program!

i have a problem. I died and spawned somewhere i had never been before and i spend hours searching for my house but never found it. so i got this program and followed the instructions etc. but the map doesn't show where i am. I'm in snow at the moment but there is no snow on the map and on top of that, i cant see any of my houses (which a relatively close to each other.) Im on a LAN party hosted by my dad if that helps. PLEASE REPLY!

@luckyeightdicer If your map is small and your computer is fast then it might not take very long at all. The image never showed up in the folder? Did you extract the program somewhere? If it's under /program files/ try moving it to your /my documents/ folder and try again.

no. what i could really use is a walkthrough on properly downloading everything. im not very tech savy and i think my main problem is the way i extracted the files with the 7-zip. my loadout of the program matches nothing of what yours looks like
