I saw the first episode (subbed) of the Black☆Rock Shooter 2012 anime today and felt I needed to listen to this song again.

Here's what I think- the events in the video take place in a character's mind. I don't care who she is, or what she does, but in her mind she's taking on a friend/rival and for some reason she's got this Freudian obsession with guns and gears.

The people in this dreamscape are the people she knows in the real world, their personalities distilled to the dreamer's understanding of them. The fight between them is the character's attempt to better understand them.

@ariexayashii95 Yeah, Black Rock Shooter is not Miku, but a derivation of her. Kinda like a fanmade VOCALOID, but Black Rock Shooter doesn't sing. She is used in a song, yes, but not her voice. Just her image. However, the fact that Miku and Black Rock Shooter look alike was very coincidental. But the look alike pushed a thought into ryo's head to create this song about Black Rock Shooter. I hope you aren't confuzzled anymore! If you are talk to me! :D

No, this is merely a promotional intro video of BRS, which will in fact be an anime coming out in 2010. Notice Miku does the singing but that goth girl is BRS's main protagonist.

No it's not. Black Rock Shooter was a character made entirely independent from Hatsune Miku by an artist called Huke. It was a bit later after BRS was created that someone (it may have even been huke himself. I dont remember. someone called ryo i think...) who made a Miku song about Black Rock Shooter. they do look a little bit alike, but they really have nothing to do with eachother.

and a BRS anime is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2010. the pilot animation was released Sept. 30th.
