  • It's really wonderful car, I have Ford Taurus Model 2010 it's nice car and fun in drive, although I do not like american cars in past time I was love only Japanese cars, but now with the development of Ford Motor Company I'll be with them and their beautiful new designs.

  • The car is hot, Im surprised so many young people are into it, that say's allot. The SHO is off the hook fast and extremely agile hopefully Americans will give it a chance instead of going for the overseas's brands right off the bat. This is an American Luxury Sedan thats simply FANTASTIC.

  • *likes comment*

  • I love this car, but I hate the way the lights are shaped in the back.

  • yea its true, they wana copy some on else, like hundai and kia does now.

  • There is nothing original about this car. Nothing. You would not know it was a Ford if it didn't say it on the grill. Not to mention a Taurus. Ford is trying really hard to be something else.

  • @eche73 Whats not original. The whole car is new. Toyota copies ford quite a bit as well. The new Avalon looks just like the fusion. Fusion came first.

  • Why would you market your product by claiming the competition is only slightly better.

  • i have an 05 subaru outback 3.0 sdn and the new taurus looks VERY similar from the front even the grills are identical

  • back n front of it looks like a pontiac and a exlips mated

  • I really like the new Taurus. First time in a long time I can actually say I really like what Ford is doing with their entire lineup.

  • Ford is moving in the right direction now...

But the Taurus was baby, born death ! The only problem with this car is it's pricing... If you want well equipped Taurus you have to pay 40K $ for it!

That is a big league number... for that price I can buy Lexus, BMW, Mercedes or Infiniti....

The Taurus has to start somewhere from 25K$ and fully equipped should be like 32-33K$.

For 29K $ I can buy Accord EX-L V6, which is a better car than the Taurus!

Sorry ford but the price is not wright!!!

  • The base Taurus with the standard V6 (263 HP) starts at 26k. The SHO is the high priced one.

  • looks like a chevy from the back

  • I am a long-time GM owner and supporter and I have to give kudos to Ford for the exterior design on this new Taurus. The interior design, meh, not so much...GM's new interior designs DEFINITELY have Ford beat on visual fluidity! I really hope this car and GM's new lineup will have the foreign competition running scared:D

  • Once again I'm in love with Ford. Bye bye the corner-shaped cars. Welcome the future cars, the curve-shaped. Now Japanese and Euros must tremble.

  • who owns ford, my cousin?.......Americans. Europe and America can do great things together. for you i guess......thank you Europe.

  • then? is that all you got? built that car yourself if you can and design it.

  • Yepper found my new car

  • Wow! For the first time in my life I must actually say that a Ford Taurus looks hot. I love it. I have to give it up to Ford. In this economy, Ford is the only one on their game. The other two retards, GM and Chrysler are the ones who are behind and now they're paying for it.

  • lol dude liberal pussy bitches like you crack me the fuck up. its fuck up like you that think just because they sit there and beat off to ufc that they can fight lol bro seriously i would drop your little faggot ass

  • nice fake side vent! Ford is from the "more crap = better" school. As I was taught in Architecture school... "Strip the bitch!" Ford is always too late. Maybe their headlights finally look good on the taurus... but Acura had headlights on the TSX like that 5 years ago. The Taurus was originally an Audi rip-off. Its sad, some of the models they have released over the years: think 80's Mustang, 80's anything! Mid-late 90's Taurus and blob station wagon. That same era escort and escort coupe

  • ur a faggot lol shut the fuck up

  • Wow, ur a redneck who doesn't know grammar and hasn't added a thought to this discussion, lol shut the fuck up. Obama IS your president btw. Leave the country if you don't like it prick. lol

  • oh wow this liberal pussy thinks hes fuckin tough lolz

  • oh wow this Redneck pussy just said "lolz"

  • lol bro id fuck you up, go beat off to your anime shit faggot

  • Thats so cute. xBx098572098209509323. I know that being a high school dropout becomes you, but get your GED and one day you too, can be somebody. I'd kick the shit out of your hick ass.

  • All that is great, But what about the reliableness of the car? Is it going to be like a toyota or honda?

  • I have the 2005 Ford Fiesta which is not sold in USA. It reached about 90,000km with no problems at any point. I think Ford is have changed it imagine these couple of years it improved quiet abit even in inside and outside.

  • Biff Crash his 1950 Ford convertible into the manuer truck so why don't you make look like a tree and get out of here

  • Comment removed

  • Coming from someone that has the lack of basic spelling and grammar skills, I'll go buy a Ford right now.

  • Wow... You think you can spell that great Professor ? "...has the lack of basic..." You mean "has lack of basic" ? And what about comma after skills?! Shouldn't be period? WNxDarkFire2 just shut your trap and beat off. to granny porn.

  • I put 180,000 miles on My 1992 Taurus, I put tires a couple of times, A speed sensor, plugs, and windshield wiper blades.

I put 189,000 miles on My 1998 Taurus SE, 24 Valve engine I put tires, wiper blades, spark plugs air filters and oil changes on both cars. The 92 I got 18 MPG City with 30 Hwy. The 98 I got 17 MPG city with 28 Hwy.

    Both cars were great.

  • Poor language skills or not, he speaketh the truth...

  • My previous Taurus almost got me broke. Spended

  • Comment removed

  • Yep, and they are almost finished getting their bond holders to take a "haircut" of about 70% off of the money that was loaned to Ford over the years. So, Ford has gotten the UAW to take stock for their retirement fund, and will even back it up if the stock falls further. They got their investors tot take it on the chin...So who's missing from the equation? Their vendors! Coming to a Tier 1 auto supplier near you. a classic Ford SCREWING! Get ready! Buy the big jar of vaseline!

  • Blueskyshit is a concerned hondafag who is really chapped that the new sho that costs thousands less than his fugly happy faced, underpowered, overpriced, overweight, awd sh TL/accord in disguise, so he's trying to make himself feel better. Honda will soon be in the shitter with Ford. Like various states haven't bucked up millions to suck honda and toyota dicks for a few man'f jobs while american cars are essentially tariffed out of japan's home market? Dumb U.s. consumers did it to themselvs

  • yep, blame the US auto mfg probs on the dumb consumer...sigh...and yet you still wonder why the consumer has drifted away from you....Maybe not thinking they are dumb would be a good start. Go out and buy the overpriced April issue of Consumer Reports, and actually read it. It explains how they review each make and model, and how they base their decisions on which cars are better , and why...It will show you how wrong you are. Until you accept reality, you cannot hope to change it.

  • STFU blueskyfag! Where's the manual trans in the Acura TL/RLs? You don't see it? I don't see how any intelligent person could pay 45k for an awd accord in disguise that's grossly underpowered for the money. How can you throw stones at the SHO which is way more for the money in EVERY way. Maybe if the dumbass camry in disguise lexus and acura buyers wake up they might actually want some value for their money. They don't know they're driving disguised acc/camry.Stupid fucking badgewhores!

  • Damn, Guinmaan?...Tell us how you REALLY feel!

The so-called Honda-in-disguise AWD TL isn't 45K ; It's 35K, although I am sure you could add options to boost it to 45...Just like the SHO. The difference is that the Acura has a strong history of quality AND residual value retention. The Ford Taurus has neither, and it confuses me that Ford is deluded into believing that the Taurus has only a positive image associated with it? The last 4 or 5 years of that car were horrible from a quality viewpt.

  • I am guessing that you are a republican! but anyway, I have a 2001 Ford Taurus with 172,000 miles on it and I have never had a problem with that car! NOT ONE DAMN PROBLEM. I've never even had the plugs & wires changed out yet

  • That is not at all unusual for a car these days. You SHOULD replace the plugs and plug wires. The changes in technology for those has greatly improved since 2001, and you will get better gas mileage.

  • i live by the philosophy that if its not broke, don't fix it. A FORD mechanic told me that also. plus it still gets about 30 on the highway, which thats whats its supposed to get. I have been thinking about putting a K & N filter on it to increase the horsepower a little though

  • Well, I could sort of understand why a FORD tech would take that cautious stance. However, the reason that the Asians have surpassed good ole American Know-how is that they adopt (from Deming, after WW II) the "If it ain't broke, you're not looking close enough" mentality.

Now, the reality of your plug wires is that over the years, the electrons rushing thru them has increased their resistance. You are taxing your ignition system too. Replace them! I promise you will be happy you did. 10+HP too

  • I think I will wait until the 2010 Taurus hits the showroom & trade mine in for one

  • That's a great idea. Don't let them cheat you on your trade.

  • better yet i will just sel the 2001 privately, that way i will get retail instead of wholesale

  • yep!...just don't ignore your maintenance on the new car!

  • all ive ever had to do to this one is put brakes & tires on it, plus oil changes, alignment, etc.

  • Have you ever even Been to Japan? Until fairly recently, almost all of our domestic cars just flat-out wouldn't FIT on the streets and parking lots of Japan. Outside of the executive or Ambassador cars, US has never attempted to sell into Japan. It still remains to be seen whether Ford's plan to bring 6 small cars to the U.S. will yield results, because most of the people that would buy a econobox, already bought one from Asian OEMs. It will be very hard to get them back, unless they underprice

  • Well how much can a fiesta cost?

  • I don't know what it is, I'm just not a huge fan of the design. The gap between the grille and the hood is really unattractive. Some parts of it I like, some parts I don't, but the parts I don't like, I can't ignore.

  • Finally! 4th Gen. Taurus was the last "true" Taurus as well as one of the best looking! 5th generation was just rebadged Ford 500 . Still a good car but that's not the point here. 2010 SHO is a beast ,the only sad thing about is ,ecoboost engine ...yeah,yeah 362HP but its not Naturally Aspired like the 1,2,3rd gen SHOs. Those Yamaha engines had torque curve flat as a ruler. Thats what made keep up with much more powerful cars.

  • FUCK GM AND CHRYSLER

  • The base price for the Honda Accord Sedan is 20,905. You are right about the Lexus... Kia is a non player, at those prices assuming they are correct. Car and Driver says the BASE price of the Taurus SHO is gonna be 37995, so with the sport option, Ford is going to be asking above $40K for a sports car that has no manual transmission? I just don't see it. I think that the middle class will only consider cars priced at or below 25K, with 20K being the norm. I might be wrong...we'll see...

  • During the 80's-90's the Taurus was the best selling cars in the USA. And at the end of the 90's Ford had sold total of 2 million Taurus's! The Taurus was the benchmark of family cars, Honda and Toyota were still building boxes but when Ford introduced the Taurus Honda and Toyota started making real family cars. But sadly by the late 90's poor mangement got Ford into trouble, but I was reading this article that said in 5-6 years Ford will be like what it was in the 80's and 90's.

  • The people that owned a Taurus 5 years ago won't be able to afford this new Taurus, given the price points discussed. 35K is Lexus status...Taurus is 17K historically. I hope Ford is not planning on huge volume numbers, or market share recapture with this boat...

  • And? The Honda Accord was $22K historically, but now the new Accords cost up to $36K. And no 35K is not Lexus status. Even a 2009 Kia Optima cost $29K and the 09 Hyundai Sonata cost $30K. So the Taurus basically is within in the same price range as its compeititors.

  • This Taurus is top notch in every way. Good job, Ford! My one gripe is that it won't be affordable for more people given it's 'flagship' status. Still, the car is gorgeous and Ford deserves credit for bringing back the Taurus badge on a car worthy of having it.

  • Okay Buick, you have my attention...Now, please tell me this car can be bought for 25K out the door. IF this is another Taurus 35K wannabe, then you might as well turn Detroit over to the Japanese now (Not that they would take it).

In two years the Chinese imports will make the Hyundai genesis (motor trend car of the year) look over priced...think about your resale values in that market...US OEMS drop you prices NOW. It's your only chance....show market sahre improvement, THEN ask for Govt help

  • Do you know ANYTHING about Chinese cars? They make the worst cars in the world. Look up Chinese cars here on youtube. LOL What a joke.

And is anyone believes with the inflationary pricing that ANY really nice top line model car will cost $17K your dillussional. At an entry price of $22K Taurus will be right where it should be. A laid out, but regular sedan version (no SHO) at $30K pricing for the most ordered package,

  • am in general agreement with you on the base Taurus, although at the $30K pricepoint, there are MANY more worthy offerings.

My previous comment about the Chinese taking over the U.S. market is based on a sound knowledge of how they approach it. They learn by their many mistakes, and they learn quickly. THe first few will be cheap. Take the Hyundai Genesis as a case study. It is the superior equivalent to a 2002-2009 BMW 7 series, in terms of features...and they all work...and it's 50% less.

  • ...In 5 years China (and Korea too, which already has a head start) will be fielding cars comparable to the 2010 Taurus (or 2010 Honda Insight, if their smart) at a pricepoint of 30-40% less, after accounting for any inflationary or currency-related adjustments. ALso assuming Obama doesn't get talked into any tariffs or protectionist policies by his boss; Nancy Pelosi.

  • "asesome " or not, the problem is that the pricing will not give Ford the economies of scale they need...Is there anybody reading this that thinks ANy of these big cars will sell in more than , say 50K, per year? A modern, efficient plant can build 900 cars a day. It would be so much better for everyone if Ford dropped the price, and kept the plants humming...Their recent pricing strategy isn't reflecting this...

  • Finnally the Taurus now just looks asesome (not that it ever looked bad but just a bit less sporty)

  • does it look like new jag ?

  • I can't help but think that the big three are still stuck in the paradigm of the 90s, with these big cars and big prices...I just hope for their sake that they aren't planning on equally big sales numbers...These cars are good values, but I can't help but think that they all think they are going to be selling these into a 14M unit market? The markets gonna be 8.5 to 9.5 at best, and I worry these cars will be the swan song for both companies...They just never adapted....

  • I agree, this Taurus is a big step forward for the model, but after seeing the 2010 Buick Lacrosse in person, the Taurus is certainly no match. And yes, I know the Buick is supposed to compete with a slightly higher class of car, but i can't help but be impressed and proud of GM for showing Ford and Chrysler what it can do when it doesn't nickle and dime the interior and play it safe with the styling. GM used to be the standard in the American Auto Industry. Now, GM is coming back to life

  • wait borntorun your joking right? i love gm to but i saw the 2010 lacrosse and taurus and the taurus is 100x nicer . the interior on the taurus is much nicer and the lacrosses exterior looks chinese. sorry but the taurus is nicer all around and ford is much more relible.

  • i am glad to see the big 3 stepping it up!!

    2010 Ford Taurus is fantastic!!

    2010 Buick Lacrosse is fantastic!!

    2010 Chrysler 200c is fantastic!!

    Keep it up!!

all 3 new models are drop dead gorgeous!!

  • Sorry, I'm gonna be an ass for a second. How old are you? Drop dead gorgeous? Compared to what? An AMC Gremlin? A Chysler Sebring?

I like the Japanese equivalents of those cars, the Accord, Camry, Maxima for example. But those cars are not gorgeous either, just plain ol', get-the-job-done cars. But, to each his own.

  • IF you borrow money from a bank and go out of business, never paying it back, that is a bailout in my opinion. No one is even talking about how much crap the U.S. OEMs will be in when the Chinese Cars hit the beaches...If you thought Japan was putting the squeeze on the U.S., wait til you see what $5a day labor costs can do to the cost of a car?...India and China will own the low-end, while Germany owns the high end..U.S. will not be a factor without protectionist measures...unlikely...

  • On this complete page #1not one of you

    are over 30 I checked

Your not old enough to know what

your talking about......I have been retired

for years.Because of 20 year old and younger

You will never see an early retirement

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR JOB YET KEEP BUYING FOREIGN Ask your Mom or Dad

  • Why are you bragging about being retired for years, when you're just now 55? Let me guess... You too, had an over paid union job, and now have the audacity to ask the rest of us to buy crap american cars, so that you can continue to suck on the corporate teat?...I don't think so...Build a better car or perish. PERIOD.

Don't get too comfortable with your paid health insurance...the piper is coming, and you'll be paying him...

  • Fords are looking to maybe use

    some of the (LOAN) money,

    My wife works there.

And it's a loan not a bail out

    Get it right ...

    Only banks get bail outs

  • A+++ for looks.

Lets see how reliable they are, time will tell.

  • Yeah YodaPala, the 2010 Ford Taurus is one sharp looking car, isn't it? Hey, do you go onto pages featuring German cars and also bring up reliability issues with those cars as well? It's a FACT.....not an opinion that American cars as a whole are now MORE RELIABLE than German cars. Yeah, it's time to wipe all the sleep out of your eyes....the 70's, 80's, and 90's have BEEN OVER.....happy motoring!

  • this car is drop dead gorgous

  • Hey igotfins, FORD DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY BAILOUT MONEY. I suggest you familiarize yourself with the facts before posting on youtube and coming off as an ignorant ass.

  • Ford didn't receive any money from the Government Pal!

  • Comment removed

  • This car looks sharp, but i dont like the back of it...

  • Looks good, but still, Ford posts $5.9B US loss in Q4

  • yet they didn't take bailout money, while GM and Chrystler did, and gave it all to their CEO's. everybody is suffering right now, but ford is actually doing the best out of nearly everybody right now.

  • I think, the new Ford Taurus looks better than, the new Nissan Maxima. ;-)

  • the front looks sexy but the back end looks like its been smashed

  • Ford didn't receive bailout money...only GM and Chrysler.

  • Ford didn't recieve bailout money, and this car was designed a long time ago. Just kept under wraps.

  • Nice car, agressive hood and fenders and very Lincoln-esk rear end and trunk lip, and very Euro-American combo styling, i think they did design this thing with input from their Ford of Europe group, i like the darn thing and would buy it but please price it competetively, would be nice to be able to afford it.

Sure doesnt look like some wimpy family sedan, looks like a Euro-Sports sedan. =]

  • ford and gm are moving on upp and are not stopping . Beatiful car.

  • Too expensive to compete with the japanese models. I think the american companies don't get it. You can not sell your products higher than the competition if the competition is killing you. Japanese companies are killing them and these american companies keep being stubborn. As a consumer I would not buy this car for 26000 when I can buy an Accord for 20000 or a nice Altima for 21000.

  • Well lets see... only in cubaboy's world do cars with LESS features, interior room, trunk space, and inferior execution equate "vetter choices". You my friend are the only one who doesn't "get it". Honda's V6 Accord (the best of the Japanese offerings) STARTS at 26k, and is nowhere as good as this. You're not an intelligent consumer I see, just another sheep who doesn't do any reseatch whatsoever.

  • Well I rather buy a Honda Accord for 26000 than a Taurus that depreciates twice the Honda's price. Yes I am a smart consumer when I think of depreciation.Maybe you don't know about the concept. This car will not sell well at 26000 when you have better models out there. If you you want to buy this that your own personal problem but the bottom line is OVERALL CONSUMERS WON'T BUY THIS TAURUS FOR 26000. This is another bad decision from an already damaged company.

  • I like when you morons start talking about depreciation, it really cracks me up, all depreciation means is you are paying more up front.

If you buy a Ford Taurus I gaurantee you will not be paying 26K, Ford will always go below MSRP for sales. And another thing is that you are all comparing a Full Size Sedan (Ford Taurus) to a little Mid Sized Altima or Accord which are mainly driven by women. Those two cars compete with the Ford Fusion not the Man Sized Taurus.

  • My point exactly...People that have never driven a Honda or Nissan Can not comprehend the quality gap that still exists. I'm tired of trying to teach them...Go ahead and BUY a Taurus. Feel good about paying 2K less than sticker. Just don't try to get out from under it for 6 years...That's how long it will take to reach break-even on a trade tho...Not at all the case with Honda's cars....

  • I traded my BMW in for a Pontiac G8 and could not be happier. I love my Pontiac G8 and would not trade it for a BMW , Infiniti, and especially not a little mid sized Altima, Camry, or Accord. Try to take a BMW in for service after your warranty runs out and you'll stop talking about depreciation because it will cost you about $3000 everytime you take it in for service. Altima=Gay, The Honda also just looks gay. Buy the Honda if you are a faggy metro-sexual ha ha ha ha ha

  • G8 does look nice but a little pricey still...I think it looks newer than this Taurus that's not even out yet. Given the choice between the two at the base price, I'd be leaning towards the G8...I'm still not convinced these cars are worth the extra money over the mid sized 5 passenger Asians...

  • Its not pricey, the MSRP for my G8 was $32K, I bought it brand new for $21K and it is loaded with all the options. Try to do that with a Jap car or a BMW or Audi hahahahahahahah

  • Something doesn't sound right with that math...First, the G8 loaded, is higher that 32K MSRP. Plus, I find it hard to believe your dealer took that big a bath, because the dealer invoice (even including year-end volume-based incentive givebacks.) couldn't be that much...35% discount? If that IS true, what do you think the street price for a new Taurus will be?

  • don't judge a car until you touch it.

  • Im metro and Honda is one of the ugliest makes for sale in America in my opinion. Not to mention boring and way overrated. Also people who are metro are known to be stylish by definition and last i checked models weren't driving Honda's lol.

  • are you 10 years old? how is a car "gay?"

  • huh?

  • that was for DAVIDD2005

  • With the entire market downsizing, why do we even NEED a Full Size class vehicle? The really Fat MF'ers are gonna buy a BIG SUV so the car won't tilt to one side when they drive it....No one I know even WANTS a car this size, when it's shape is exactly like every ither mid sized car...If you look at this car, it is almost exactly the shape of a 2002 BMW 745i...only without the engineering.

  • great car

  • the first ford that i like, very nice car.

  • SHO without V8... discutable, keep the ecoboost for a less sport sport version with awd and man (ok auto if you want lol)

  • im happy you guys like this ford car cause toyota of america is getting too arrogant

  • and they are suposed to be patriotic... so now sucking jap dicks and "green" V8 SUVs is the new patriotism... sometimes yanks are just too funny (yet a bit dumb) well don't change the world likes that :p

  • indeed, and toyota's today aren't like toyota's of a few years back, they're starting to turn really junky. even lexus is sliding, my folk's have an 08 Accord V6 and it'll haul their friends' ES350 (fancy camry) and feels way better when driving.

  • Very impressive car

  • new car? no. Refreshed car, and a good change to it? yes. Price is what used to make Ford an easy choice .Ford hates to admit that, but it's the cold hard truth. Ford cars MUST BE cheaper than the others...Sorry....put your $825 destination charge up your ass!

  • nice design. a winner.

  • The grill looks better than the fusions, but I still dont like it, mesh is better, and I dont like the rims, this cant look like a Mazda 3 because a Mazda 3 is a compact and this is a full size, so you could put a Mazda 3 inside of this car if you wanted to and carry it around.

IMHO the Pontiac G8 is still the best car and it is afterall the BMW Killer.

  • Except the design for the G8 is 4 years old, and this is a brand new design.

  • I am glad you agree with me that the Pontiac

    G8 is the BMW killer.

  • Pontiac G8 is a BMW Killer? what are you smokin? You aer quite the comedian

  • reminds me of a mazda 3

  • I will not pay 25K for this car.....I think very few others will either....

  • well i will spend the money for the limited model along with the hybrid fusion in 2010

  • They need to fix the front.

  • I am not happy with the new design. I was hoping that the front would look like the Ford Mondeo that the sell in the UK.

  • Ford 500 series did not sell at all so they rebadged it as the Taurus

Its gonna try to take the crown of #1 seller the last 10 years Toyota Camry and Accord

    good try

  • No, they rebadged the Taurus as the Five Hundred in 2007 then changed it back to Taurus in 2008

  • This car evokes no emotion, extrememly boring, they really think they can just add a metal quarter panel insert and its exciting. NOT. If you want to see a nice american 2010 look at the Buick Lacrosse.

  • the rear end looks almost indentical to the Intercepter concept.

  • *Interceptor

  • yea i can see it in the taillights

  • It's really cool how they took styling cues from the Interceptor because the chances of that (as nice as it is) being produced are slim & none.

  • Instead of making them fatter, they should make it smaller and made out of steel like the older cars, and of course make less and make more durable road bikes :D

  • I would have to say more of a maxima front end with a malibu looking rear... although This is an MKS and volvo s80 basically..

    This have independent rear suspension??

  • Yes it is an independent rear suspension in the 2010 Taurus as well as the 2005-2009 Five Hundred/Taurus.

  • wer is this made mehico or usa?

  • mehico or mexico? Stupid!!!

  • in chicago... where the current is made..

  • Yeah... as if the Honda Accord doesn't look like a BMW 5 series. To me this looks nothing like an Accord, sorry.

  • Ohhhhhh.......Another Honda Accord......great?

  • how does this look like the accord? fail?

  • holy accord coupe front and mitsu galant rear, batman!

  • why didn't they build this car 5 years ago, now they have caught up but everybody else will now be 1 model ahead again! No wonde they are almost out of business!

  • umm ford isent almost out of buisness thats chrysler,

  • Ford is in trouble too.

  • Boy! The big 3 sure have been stepping their game up during these tough economic times...

  • Okay, the 2010 Taurus - the front resembles the Subaru Legacy, the midsection has a Camry/Mazda6 look while the rear would have looked a lot better if the numberplate was mounted within the trunklid...

As it is, I suspect it is unlikely there will be a Mercury Sable version (Mercury apparently going to be a brand instead for imported Euro-Fords), or wagons (I suspect the 'crossover' Flex and Freestyle will do likely fill that role)...

  • american cars just dont have the style european cars do, or the reliability of japanese cars

  • Reliability hasn't been a weak point for domestic manufacturers for quite some time. They do well in every reliability studies. As for style, thats always subjective.

  • the reliability is there. the styling however is lacking which is why they poached all their designers from asia as of late.

  • achaully ford has the same relibibly at honda and toyota said jd power and accosicetes, and how is this not stylish?

  • Well, you know what? I'll take the style of the 2010 Buick Lacrosse, over ANY Bimmer being built today! And I am a former owner of 3 BMWs and think it's extremely sad what the propeller-heads at BMW let Chris Bangle do to the design direction of their cars. And as far as the quality, they are at least on par with the Japanese and in some cases better. You need to check your facts my friend.

  • the front looks like a subaru

  • nice...the rear fascia is from the Interceptor Concept.

  • woww. this is nice.

  • Sign me up for the all wheel drive with the Ecoboost when that comes out. Some people will always find something to complain about I think this car looks great. I was looking at an Audi A6 or a Mustang GT (2010) I may get this instead!

  • nice

  • it looks GREAT.

  • Looks like something that should have come out in 1999.

  • Elle et moche quand meme

  • some details from Ford Interceptor concept

  • Yeah, like the 1960's style tail lights and short windowsill to roof profile that make the car look lower, like the Chrysler 300 styling trick. No offense to American car fans, but isn't it crazy that BMW and Acura have been beaten with an ugly stick and the new Buick Lacrosse and the normally prosaic Taurus are actually turning some heads? I don't care what anyone says, Chris Bangle ruined Bimmer styling.

  • looks nice =D

  • One more question: Who is going to buy a Lincoln MKS?

  • Is it just me or it got an ex-Corolla-mixed-subaru grill and Camry headlamps? And the tail just don't come together with the front. But somehow, it works and it looks better than Camry, Corolla, and every subaru on the road. Job well done, Ford.

  • yea, it kinda looks like those acura's too. tl or tsx.

  • Looks like Ford's finally changing for the better with their designs.

  • ya, finally, they are making a normal car BUT the front lights look like ther from a Honda Civic

  • yea, they should really come up with their own stuff instead of copying the foreign companies. To add to your comment, the back looks from a Jetta.
