  • You are excellent at this! Really enjoyed learning from you. Quick question. I have a Casio Exilim camera that does. MOV movies. Would Adobe Premier be the best choice for editing? I can't in Win. Mov. Maker because it doesn't recognize .MOV files. What about Quick Time Pro? Any recommendations?

  • Are you sure they're mov files? I think some of those Exilim camcorders record avi files, and some MPEG-4. I don't really know for sure. But you can always convert to another format to suit your editing software. Wish I could be of more help here. Sorry.

  • WOW - you are fantastic.

You could totally teach film school.

    You make a great instructor.

    !

    Sincerely,

    fgb

  • Thanks for the info. Loved the 'examples' you gave... 'now we're at a grateful dead concert'... lol!

  • Dont even bother with hdv, although its true 1080i it still is not full Hd and its on its way out. I suggest you look at the new panasonic camera hmc 150 or 170 one shoots on p2 cards the other to sd cards the same u use for digital photos. This new technology allows more space on the card and the camera will only be $3,500 which is what u would pay for a 3ccd hdv camera. Go to bhphoto and check these new panasonics out.

  • Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated! Steve

  • What are you shooting with now?

  • I bought a Sony VX2000 a few years ago, and I hope to get an HDV camcorder in the near future.
