Yea, Starved Sock is nice, but there is a hidden gem in the area where me an my army buddies trained before basic. No board walks ;) I hear there is a much harder hike in Indiana. That's the plan this summer. Supposed to be 20 miles of cliffs and rugged terrain.
i was just there today really beautiful it was my first time there and my sisters last lol there was remains of a dear on the trail to lasalle canyon that grossed her out
If you enjoy places like this, try out hickoryhideaway in MOUNT CARROL ILLINOIS. About 45 minutes from Galena. I will post some picts from there sometime. We go there at least 2x a year..its a great weekend get-away and close to home.
