Different books of the new testament have him being born in different cities. So I highly doubt any record would be trustworthy. Second, you claim eye witness account. Eye witness is not even 100% reliable with people who are ALIVE, never mind who died thousands of years ago.

@OpsDivine In order to have Jesus born in Bethlehem, Luke says that everyone had to go to the city of their birth to register for the census. This is absurd, and would have caused a bureaucratic nightmare. The purpose of the Roman census was for taxation, and the Romans were interested in where the people lived and worked, not where they were born (which they could have found out by simply asking rather than causing thousands of people to travel)

Everyone NEEDS to admit that they have no idea whether any god exists or not. It can't be proven or disproven. Just admit you don't know. It's OK to admit. the brightest minds who ever lived admitted when they didn't know something. If every person admitted that they don't know, the world would be so much better. When you look in the mirror, you know you can't convince yourself that the god you grew up believing in is real. Once you do that, it's OK to say it out loud.

Different books of the new testament have him being born in different cities. So I highly doubt any record would be trustworthy. Second, you claim eye witness account. Eye witness is not even 100% reliable with people who are ALIVE, never mind who died thousands of years ago.

Luke has Mary and Joseph travelling from their home in Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea for the birth of Jesus. Matthew, in contradiction to Luke, says that it was only after the birth of Jesus that Mary and Joseph resided in Nazareth, and then only because they were afraid to return to Judea

@OpsDivine In order to have Jesus born in Bethlehem, Luke says that everyone had to go to the city of their birth to register for the census. This is absurd, and would have caused a bureaucratic nightmare. The purpose of the Roman census was for taxation, and the Romans were interested in where the people lived and worked, not where they were born (which they could have found out by simply asking rather than causing thousands of people to travel)

Tthe crazy thing is that you (teachers & students) can pray ALL you want to in school, government, etc. The ACLU itself has repeatedly defended teacher's and student's rights in this. The very subtle but important thing is that a teacher or other school rep. can't endorse any practice by *mandating* a practice time. This means a student & teacher can pray all they want in school (as long as both don't disrupt the educational process). This is precisely what the law is promoting!

@overether Oh, you'd be surprised. Not only are there theists who accept evolutionary theory, there are atheists who believe in creationism! There are even atheists who think we didn't actually evolve! They're called Raelians. But many atheists believe we were engineered by aliens. I mean, you wouldn't believe. Granted, atheists are by and large much, much more rational than theists, but we still have our crazies. Luckily, no one pays attention to them because everyone knows they're kooks.

go to the bus stop you see street preachers..and people praying for america..you can open up the bible in school and you can even read it if you want..the teachers or administration cannot lead in pray or reading of the bible..im tried of hearing misrepresenation of the law..students praying or reading the bible fall under individual prayer..the ACLU and courts have agreed with this and support it NOT state sponsered prayer...also ray comfort ADMITTED he know little to NOTHING of evoluion
