there is a whole in the bottem and they place these bols buy holding them upside down underwater and pull them up. or they just place them in the water and suck the air out of it so the waters comes in itselff. just places bricks under the boll he stays above the water and your done.

very easy to make yourself and koi's love it they swimm in it all the day at my home

Such a simple idea. Only question that I could have is regarding trapped air bubbles. Look at the very first pearl. Up the top there is a bubble. Such bubbles I think could be created by bacteria in the substrate, or even carried by the fish themselves after surface feeding. I suppose the main question is, how would you get that bubble out? I have no idea...

They use a small vaccum with an extendable nozel to suck the air out :)

@nemean2357 actually the bubble is deliberately left when you suck the rest of the air out of the globe. The pocket of air allows food to float, which attracts the fish. :)

if im right i think it is a usual glass ball which is hollow and has an entery to it, you know when you put a jug in the water upside down and then fill it up the you pull it up and you can still see the water i think that is how it is done and then have suports so it doesnt fall down and loose water!!! if you know what i mean

they r cheating cuz they put food at the top....how r u ganna get food up there if there is a vacume created by the presser from having the water buble above the water lvl......u would have to put food in it b4 u instaled it or u would have to reach up under it with ur hand and hope all the food floats up there....cuz u can open it besides the fact its a solid glass/plast dome cuz then all the water would go WHOOSH and shoot down out of it
