I'm ok if my man talks about business sometimes not ALL the time! I like to enjoy the person that I'm with. I notice that most men who just talk about business all day are boring...that's just my observation...there's really more to life then business, but I would prefer the man to be the bread winner but times have changed. I just feel comfortable with the fact that I don't have to work to extra hard.
Women are different, some think of finance and some dont, to think in terms of women and to generalise is like generalising about black people. Some black people are good at dancing and others are not, some fit the sterotypes and some dont. At the end of the day people are people, male or female, black or white. I am a woman and I am a qualified lecturer and I hold an MBA, I listen to your videos every day since I discovered your channel and you are really educating me. Thanks keep them coming.
Not to get off topic, but I so happen to love your videos! When I first found your channel, I took out a few days to listen to just-about all your videos, as I worked. I work from home. I find that motivational and business videos help me to continue working during the worst of times, they keep me motivated.
Said all that to say: YES, there are women who love business talk. I truly appreciate you, respect your thoughts, and hope you continue to bless us with your videos!
I love many subjects -- business in general (Marketing, business books, success stories for motivation, ways to earn money, etc.) is something I can listen to/chat about 24/7 and never get tired of.
I am a female, but I meet many "men" who get bored with the subject. They'll tell me to stop thinking so much about the topic, rest, give my mind a break. If you're not talking about BS (entertainment, sports, etc.), then you get negative responses. So, you can't group "all" women together...
My feeling is that, when you're talking about 'women' as a statistical group, it's probably true that men are more focussed on money, business, and all that stuff, just as a large proportion of adult women feel that's their fundamental role has to do with taking care of kids. It doesn't matter how much her mate helps her, she still feels that way, and that's probably in the DNA.
its not true- im very interested in making and saving money, and all topics of living frugally. my hubby stays at home with the kids, i work. i think women have so many plates in the air they may not have the free time men afford themselves to relax on youtube, etc. even though men are capable of running a household its usually the female still responsible for cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. i have yet to hear a man say, gee the bathroom needs cleaning, i think ill do that after work tonight!
This feels somehow weird for me. Aren´t people mind first and body second? I hadn´t even known that I´m a woman and what I´m supposed to be then, if somebody hadn´t told so 8-).
Checking people around me: the gender division is pretty equal, when it comes to prudence with money. Two sides in it: breadwinner and "breadsaver/multiplier". And then of course there is the ability to see opportunities and ability to communicate to make things happen. It can be synergy in case of family roles.
My fiance reads kiplinger report and money magazine, etc. She's pretty, quiet and small as a mouse but you'd never guess she'd be the type. People assume she's dumb.
But she doesn't want to hear ANY negativity about the economy. I had gotten to a point where I was preaching to her and she would just roll her eyes. Then I woke up and have since fixed the problem. Been on a very upward track since. 09 was the year I fell in love with doom porn on youtube. 10 was year I divorced doom porn.
if she's rich as hell and powerful, then doesn't matter the hue...atleast to me.
i'd love if i could sit on my ass at home all day. I'd still be working but more on my own terms, personal work etc. I'd still be working 40hours a week. A trust fund millionaire friend of mine has never worked a day in his life. Yet he paints 40 hours minimum a week. All he has to do is let daddy handle his investments and collect, but he is driven 100% of the year.
Really? You have more males than females? Hmm... I guess I'm in the minority then! lol
It's interesting because I think men are more likely to get into business (and go "bigger" in business) than women. But when you look at how well women can multi-task in the home and how creative many can be with stretching the budget and time-management I often wonder why more don't go into business.
@MorningDreamgirl I totally agree with you, if I was to go into business with anyone else, it would be a woman. they are highly organized, multitaskers, a lot of them actually do what they say they will do. Lastly their ideas are not guided by ego unlike the man, lol.
i use to be a banker. some of the women i worked with were very financially minded and ambitious. some women love talking about finance and are very good at making money. the only problem they have is that they tend to spend way to much and are easily persuaded by consumer trends.
if you want to be successful in a business, cater to women.
i think you kinda answered your own question, it depends on the woman. some women are interested in finance, some are not, just as some men are interested in it and some arent. it probably is disproportionate but thats a cultural thing, its in no way inherent or natural. its just that since men are expected to make money they have more of a chance (expectation even) to get into it, where as women arent and have no motivation to read up on it or anything
@skyding8962 Well that's why I am trying to ask to get the public view. Right now I have no opinion, I have assumptions but I am trying to find the true answer.
Stereotypes are always true. There is always exceptions, but that doesn't change the fact that stereotypes are generally true. No one cares about the exceptions.
I actually wanted to ask why doesn't your wife make videos? I would love to hear some of her financial advice because you told us that she is succesful in her businesses.
I see myself as a CEO of our household. My husband is the one that doesn't really care about our finances. Women are more practical, in my opinion. I don't like to talk about finances, I just take care of it :-)
Men are naturally hunters/gatherers.....no doubt about it. We were created that way, so business will also come naturally to men.....not that women cant be that way. I believe that we behave, for the most part, the way that we were created to behave.
I haven't seen the video yet, but I could never be in a serious relationship with a woman cause they spend money on all kinds of crap guys dont need and to keep up their "image".
@mohammedabshaun As you've mentioned about your wife shopping at places for low prices, and not so much into self image, my wife is the same way. She is real big on saving money and shopping very cheap. She likes nice things, but isn't too materialistic like your average person here in the U.S.
But Im not just talking about clothes. Im talking about a "luxury car" that loses its value when its driven off the lot, interior decorating, fancy jewelery, a mcmansion (when a simple house or apartment is sufficient) etc etc.

Women always have the option of being taken care of, thus they have no survival drive than men have. In general, theres always exceptions.
