ugh i love don and peggy scenes together. only magic comes from them together, ie. the suitcase!! amazing television. they have such a great relationship. they're the only ones who truly know each other.
well all I have been trying to do is find the title of a song that was on a series 5 promo advert....no luck yet. after wading through a load of clips I must say I am uninspired by the series.
In all honesty, this is amazing life advice. What stops people from achieving anything is that they cripple themselves emotionally.
But those who succeed know that you have to just move forward. Time moves by so quickly, and love and loss will slip away so easily that you'll be shocked at how easy it is to move past depression and apathy.
@pepsiimaxx02 it's petes baby but he didn't find out about it untill a while after she gave it away. the people in the office just thought she had gained weight. peggy didn't even realise she was pregnant
No, she had a baby with a married man althought she's a decent girl, the problem is, not only the guy doens't give a damn, but she can barely sustain herself financially and she also want's to be more than just a secretary, but a copywriter,
@joaoluizsn ok, she is not as decent as you think... in the first episode she wanted to seduce Don, and later she give to Cambel, so... think again, she is a girls who fools everybody thinking that she is a goody goody
I see your point, but you gotta remember "it's was ok" and she "had" to do that, i don't remember her actually feeling attracted to Don, maybe for Pete at first,
@joaoluizsn yip, I remember the pressure that Joan gave her, but alas, she is a super ambitious woman, the kind that sleeps with ya in order to rise in the company.... she is a great character though. But she is not the goody goody that everybody think
@joaoluizsn of course!! that's my point, she is a shark as the other men around.... In hollywood there are not many well written female characters... Peggy is the exception.
@dingdongpingpong69 A matter of preferences. It is a plot-driven show that moves at its own pace without having to resort to flashbang, cheap jokes and pretty faces; and for some of us of a certain age it's nostalgic since it reminds us of our parents' generation. I can't really speak for you but I'm guessing you're more of a Survivor and American Idol type of viewer.
@dingdongpingpong69 I misunderstood the tone of your questioning, I took it to mean "how can anybody possibly like this show?" But when you assume you make an ASS of U and ME. I apologize for the insult at the end.
food for thought: a key principle for don draper is moving forward. and that is a great thing to some. but at what point does moving forward turn into running away?
If you are wondering why she is in the hospital and confused and would like someone to tell you? Sorry. It won't be me. You need to just watch it. Some things are better when you experience them yourself. This is one of them.
@sharmaine73 Yeah yeah but having no time to watch i a problme for me, i will have to wait for a month before i can watch made men i have only seen 5 episodes
she had an affair with Pete, which is against the norms of society in the 1960's for a woman to have sex with anyone out of marriage. she doesn't know she's pregnant, gives birth, and refuses to acknowledge that she was ever pregnant or had a baby. they had her in a mental ward because she wouldn't admit she was pregnant to the doctors. Don visits her and forces her to acknowledge she was pregnant.

This applies to bad relationships, bad news, and bad in general. The hard thing is to make this apply to all the good things.
