Тополь это уровень 80-х - 90-х. Американцы в кач-ве наземных баллистических ракет используют старинный "Минутмен" производства начала 1970-х. Удивлен???
Не удивлён, они достаточно надёжны. А тополя каждую неделю неисправности выдают и пиндосы это тоже знают. Мне довелось послужить сначала на шахтных комплексах (УР-100К), а потом на этих кривых тополях, так что знаю, что говорю.
Надеюсь, что в будущем не будет оснований для применения такого класса оружия...
Всё таки, что не говори, а все же это оружие массового уничтожения, если бабахнет, то накроет всех, детей, стариков, больных, здоровых, в общем всех, плохих или хороших, итог один...

По поводу шахт- их защищённость и организация размещения обеспечивает достаточную защиту. И ещё, при одинаковых размерах жидкостная ракета поднимает в 1,5 раза больший груз или почти в 1,5 дальше летит.

Why care about these nukes? If just one of them is launched, that means the world is going into a full out nuclear war. Meaning we all die. If you think Russia would survive the 100's of nukes aimed at it your horribly mistaken.
Maybe parts of Antarctica will be safe to live after such a war.

Interesting. Last I heard, Russia has a 360 radar coverage observing the border, and a system that can monitor USA airspace using "over the horison" radars stationed in kamchatka and belarus.

Russia's ground forces are better because they always invisioned that they would face a ground invasion or would invade east europe. US never envisioned a ground invasion of US but more Navy/Air war.

Russia is inded lacking in Tactical aviation, informatisation of army and in Navy, but Russia has advantages over USA in army's firepower, strategic aviation (Russia has more and newer strategic bomber fleet), land forces, Anti-aircraft defence.
Russia is catching up on iformatisation though, does USA catch up on land forces and other problem areas? doesn't look like it does.

Yes they are. The focus is to become more rapidly mobile. Not to pack a heavy punch that is slow to move around. Anti-Aircraft defense is questionable in the future with the advancement of Hypersonic cruise missiles the US is seeking.

US can catch up on ground. All they really need is a new MBT. US depends on it's airforce to win a war. Which is why Rus works hard on their SAM's. Avionics on US fighters are superior to that on Rus Aircraft. But too much dependance on AWAC's.
Honestly there is no need for US to develop cold war stuff anymore. Rus vs US will never happen.

The modified 747 laser is NOT PRACTICAL for use against ICBM's, because the aircraft must be deployed only 600km away from the launch site. Obviously, Russia wouldn't permit a fleet of 747's to hover 600km away from its launch sites. As for soviet warrior, you're an idiot too. The modified laser HAS been tested, and PERFECT reflectivity is very difficult to achieve. The most microscopic imperfection makes the entire missle vulnerable. You don't know anything either.

It is "Star Wars". Science fiction. May be after 70-80 years it will be possible, but not at this moment. At first, modern lasers still requered too much energy and very large cryogenic equipment. At second, it is much more easy to resist laser beam using for, example, warhead rotation, reflected surface and gas cloud (in space, outside atmosphera). So, it is still far away to reach the task.

Russian weapons sales are great because Russia desperetly needs them. Plus they sell to any one. Russia is not ahead of US in tech of any sort. In terms of missiles, US becomes content with what it has and never seems to strive for a better one. Like why the hell didn't us build another set of ICBM's? USSR tested space laser 25 years ago, US only now got to this kind of tech.
Russia currently researches for AJAX hypersonic aircraft. US cancelled the project because they could not solve problems with it.

I'm not saying Russia is in the Stone Age. Their tech is up to date, but it is not as good as US tech. Most projects here don't suffer from financial constraints. Everything is made to counter US tech. f-15=su-27 PAK-FA=F/A 22, TOPOL=ABM.

So russia has never looked at US tech? t-90 is a good tank. But US is focusing on methods that are changing warfare. There is nothing ground breaking about the TOPOLM, tu-160 is much like Valkerie, S-400 is like THAAD, t-90 has ARENA thats about it.
Ok, F/A-22 will beat any *current* fighter and flanker variants. It will also destroy SAM's coined as "double-digit" SAM's this includes s-400. US has not developed new ICBM's because its not Cold war time anymore...

US can not afford spending more on military needs, since they are in debt allready. they increase military spenmding and boom, next thing you know, is their economy is down, or near it.
