They were nerfed terribly in AC2 -

You have to get your enemies down to a certain health and do 3 - 8 swings before the combo happens.

Also they are unbelievably tricky to do with the double hidden blades and fists.

But practice makes perfect eh.

I've killed waaay over 50 people in combo kills. Still can't get the achievement. Either its a bad glitch. Or I'm doing something wrong. But from what  this video is showing. I'm doing nothing wrong.

Well, I finally got it. Your not even supposed to kill the enemy. Its just striking the enemy down by just pressing x at the right moment. You can really only do it in training.

for xbox 360 to perform a combo kill you press X for a normal attack then when your blade connects with the enemies blade press X again..

I'm an expert at combo kills, just watch my vids and ask any of my subscribers. Any way to do a combo kill you hit your attack button once then press it again as soon as the sword touches the enemy's sword. That is for the weak kind of soldier's. If you wanna combo a soldier that is good but isn't the templar soldier you have to tap his sword twice and as you go on to attack stronger soldiers the only difference is to tap his sword 1 more time to perform a combo kill
