I worked for KOOZA while the show was in Seattle and the "fall" happened every night. In fact, when I asked if any of them (all four are related) had fallen while doing a show, they all said no. It's purely intentional.
@EvaRpoManu I'm positive. After a month of working for the show, I got to sit in the audience and watch a performance. I fell for "the fall" and mentioned it when I went to work the next day. My coworkers just chuckled and said, "You know he does that every night, right?"
no one will ever be able to explain to me how it is possible to manage what´s happening between approx. 7:55 and 9:00....until I saw this, I could always count on physics. perhaps I still can, but these guys obviously don´t have such petty problems as gravity
the fall was intentional. they do that to keep people entertained and to add some risk to the performance. i thought i was strange at first, but now i kinda understand. (the headpiece falling off was an accident :P)
When I saw that in person, I got this panicky feeling in my stomach I get when, for example, I almost fall while rock climbing, or when (this is real) I barely stopped my bike from going off the edge of the curb on a busy street (when I was first learning how). This was before they put up the equipment to save them if they fell, and they aren't wearing safety wires. He didn't loose his hat though, and I don't think it was intentional to have a near- death experience. Just saying. :)
Ah, this is Cirque at it's best. Just such a fantastic number.

Losing his hat however, was not intentional!

@devilman819 again, that's because it was on purpose. He does that at all the shows.

@leSoleilestamoi: Yes, you're right. But the version of L'Innocent is much better than in the show, isn't it? ^^

After all, on purpose or not, it is amazing! I'm not afraid of high - but I would totally scream at this highwire. xD

I must be like the 100th person to say this, but it was on purpose.
They were even talking about it after the premeir on the extra Kooza disk

I don't think they'd choreograph him losing his headpiece, so probably no.

Oh My Gosh! THAT WAS SO SCARY! He could have died! 0.0 Jeez!!! Usualy performers would quit by that point, but nice save!
