    So, tell me; is this store location you're describing the one built into the factory itself? I've never been, but can totally understand the public disappointment.

    Perhaps, since we're talking about an on-location factory outlet, it might reverse and reopen.

  • Thanks for your comments. They might, but I doubt it: NECCO closed its historic Cambridge factory a few years ago and built this state-of-the-art facility in Revere. People are miffed, but I don't think NECCO thinks it's worth its while to keep the store open, since it doesn't get the traffic of the old outlet.

  • Interesting. I don't live anywhere near there, but am still interested in places of historical value. Was the Cambridge factory THE first Necco factory; the one dating back to the mid-1800's?
