from a very neutral standpoint-- (in the most non flaming way I can say)... I really think that the OST compliments the storyline just fine. Some of the music is just beautiful and it was created for the purpose of depicting these scenes and these scenes only... just a thought

I agree. I didn't make this video to try and make it seem like the music I chose was better. I just chose the song cause it was Okinawian and that is kind of Mugen's heritage and such, is all. It was more of what Mugen's style of music would be, in today's standards. And since the video is heavily Mugen influenced, and during a turning point within the series and his character, is why I chose the song I did. I agree, the original was very beautiful, and was a natural fit for the scenes.

Personally this song is Ashibi Shogane a Okinawan song sung by Yamasato Yukiko. This sounds like an updated modern version of the song. I like the traditional version. You can hear the sanshin. This is a sad song.
