If I only ever saw Kain on the tv after he was supposed to have died, I would assume he was still dead and someone was using his legacy and his face as their own political puppet.

@ndaemon1718 Well, yes, but at least all the Nod soldiers were surprised quite much, I'm simply suspicious that Slavik knew something no one else knew - like, for example, if Kane's body survived and was kinda "regenerating", like at the end of the Firestorm Nod campaign, then Slavik most surely about it.
This is one of my favorite cutscenes in the NOD campaign. I still like to be the good guys like the Allies or GDI. Nod has a lot of officers that will backstab you at anytime to come up on top.
@Valen630 I don't know how they spend all that money and yet manage to actually make it look worse. I don't know how Westwood planned the final cutscene but I'm certain it didn't involves a completely stark white room.

He probably knew of them both long before Tiberium arrived on Earth, and almost everything that happens is part of his plans.
I'm sticking with the "Kane is Cain" theory. Even though C&C 4 more or less said he was an alien, the story was so bad that it shouldn't be considered canon. Besides, explaining his near immortality with "oh, Kane's an alien" is just a huge cop out IMO.
@ButtersStotch7000 I agree that C&C4 had not been fully thought through but explaining Kane's immortality with religion is just as absurd as alien background. However, I wouldn't say that Kane is alien since he was unaware of what the Scrin were about in both Tib Sun and Tib Wars.

This all tells us how original C&C story is well written and what shame is to be ruined. For me, canon is in hibernation since Firestorm.

I.E NOD being a reference to the Land of Nod, Kane and Cain as well as Seth from C&CTD. My belief is that it's all just a methaphor really and that these names are just references and don't actually mean they are real.

@enterprise0709 In relation to Kane being blasted by the Ion Cannon, I don't think that was deliberately intended to be actual ending for Nod. There were two cutscenes depending on wheter you used the Ion Cannon on the Temple. One cut scene was Kane being blasted, and the other just had rocks fall on top of Kane. My bet is, the latter was the real ending, and Kane simply survived.

I'll give you a teaser. In Q&A 5, they stated that some units gain a damage bonus when firing while reverse moving.
HOW DOES DRIVING BACKWARDS MAKE YOUR GUNS STRONGER?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Its called the "Sell out's Retreat" Special Ability ... EA Figures the more they Screw up the Series the more they have to defend themselves so they just ordered it built into a unit in the game so they can pat each other on the back. (Yep, no love loss for EA's Screwing of the game)
I won't completely diss the game itself, but EA took an awesome series and just wrapped it up in so much "prettiness" and let the quality of the gameplay suffer
I personally liked the gameplay, unit, and environment designs in CnC 3 and Kane's Wrath, but the environment and unit design for CnC 4 looks terrible. The new Scorpion tank, for instance, looks like a mini Obelisk on wheels. The new Juggernaut has barrels as long as my arm, and some sort of mortar that looks like a Wild Water Park Splash Bucket mounted on the side of the turret.
Add to that the removal of base building and Tiberium harvesting, and we've got one bad game here.
Unit designs for GDI = fail in CnC 3, due to the fact that GDI had rid themselves of the "Generic military tank and buggy" look and in Tiberian sun came up with something more original, the titan and wolverine walkers and hover missile platform and disruptor weapons, EA's disregard for previous unit design is pathetic to say the least, maybe they wouldnt have had to wait till CnC 4 to get it at least half right :P
gameplay im sure will be great, but they have ripped out the true CnC gameplay out, and destroyed everything else, I want the true kane to rise again, and destroy GDI!
and remember , you dont harvest tiberium , you get money from rigs! i mean thats stupid , it takes out the whole point of the series , why is evry1 fighting over Tiberium if its unusable

I hate how C&C3 buttered up the series. It made it less mature than what it is now. The previous games weren't always so colorful. Now the new one is full of so much pretty effects that it makes the two armies appear somewhat harmless. Also, ditch the giant robot thing. It only worked in Fire Storm because it kicked so much damn ass and it was the final "boss".
Umm no, Nod in TibSun were/ARE the best, they became a fanatical gay religious group when EA took over and created a piece of shit called Tiberium Wars

He needs Tiberius but could hardly promote it any other way. They were more than just a terrorist group after the first one, you heard him here "you can’t kill the messiah" he'd love to be worshipped. I forgive EA very little but the changes of Nod I can understand. I was more annoyed at the lack of NOD catchphrases. eg Peace through Power.

@enterprise0709 In relation to Kane being blasted by the Ion Cannon, I don't think that was deliberately intended to be actual ending for Nod. There were two cutscenes depending on wheter you used the Ion Cannon on the Temple. One cut scene was Kane being blasted, and the other just had rocks fall on top of Kane. My bet is, the latter was the real ending, and Kane simply survived.

I personally liked the gameplay, unit, and environment designs in CnC 3 and Kane's Wrath, but the environment and unit design for CnC 4 looks terrible. The new Scorpion tank, for instance, looks like a mini Obelisk on wheels. The new Juggernaut has barrels as long as my arm, and some sort of mortar that looks like a Wild Water Park Splash Bucket mounted on the side of the turret.
Add to that the removal of base building and Tiberium harvesting, and we've got one bad game here.

Unit designs for GDI = fail in CnC 3, due to the fact that GDI had rid themselves of the "Generic military tank and buggy" look and in Tiberian sun came up with something more original, the titan and wolverine walkers and hover missile platform and disruptor weapons, EA's disregard for previous unit design is pathetic to say the least, maybe they wouldnt have had to wait till CnC 4 to get it at least half right :P

I hate how C&C3 buttered up the series. It made it less mature than what it is now. The previous games weren't always so colorful. Now the new one is full of so much pretty effects that it makes the two armies appear somewhat harmless. Also, ditch the giant robot thing. It only worked in Fire Storm because it kicked so much damn ass and it was the final "boss".

@LiLxLaurenx That's not so unlikely, they were originally founded as an anti western group and with the west destroyed by tib Kane needed something else. He needs Tiberius but could hardly promote it any other way. They were more than just a terrorist group after the first one, you heard him here "you can’t kill the messiah" he'd love to be worshipped. I forgive EA very little but the changes of Nod I can understand. I was more annoyed at the lack of NOD catchphrases. eg Peace through Power.
