Vraiment appétissant - but the original cassoulet is no more racist than is the chorizo or the Melton Mowbray pork pie. Haram, perhaps, but not racist.
I cant see any racist comments... deleted?? Anyway, Superbe ton francais!! Je bookmark ce link! Next time I'll feel stressed and anxious about job, I'll watch this video!
come on, don't fight over small matter. anyway, this video is very funny and interesting (i like the french words even if i'm a beginner). Salam from Malaysia. Wink.
huhu titli, your subtitles remind me of monty python's holly grail intro :D
and your commentators remind me of french right wing journalists during algerian independance... may acme anvils fall from the sky upon their narrow heads.
*blink* Yay, hate? *shrugs* Let hater hate, as they say on the Intertubes, because hiding behind a name like a comfortable mask is what they thrive at. In the meantime, let's talk food!
Say, Titli: I knew Cassoulet from my own time in Paris to be made with duck. Isn't that the "absolute classic"? That would be Halal too, non?
And in the end, different food just gets eaten (yummm) and completely mixed up in your tummy at the end of the day. Why can't it be the same for different cultures? Well, minus the eaten part.
@ToffeeDod1antiffic As Titli said: Yes. However, if you have the classic "in tomato sauce"-ones, I'd drain off the sauce and give 'em a quick wash to rise off the rest. Tomato can be a rather powerful flavour you may not wish to have in this particular stew. (Then again, what do *I* know, I'm just some German. ;) )
i am so very thankful from the abyss of my heart for providing us with such wonderful and ofcourse halal recipes and especially for things we ,being muslims, cant eat!! jazkillah-u-khair!! love all your videos =) and oh yes, just sod off all the racists blabbering about!! keep on the great work!!
you guys please comment only on the receipe and the cooking please don't spoile her efforts this is only a cooking channel please let us enjoy the videos.
Dear TutliNihaan thanks for all the receipe that you turned it in to delecious halal version.
bouquet garni is wrapped in a green leek. sachet is tied up in cheese cloth. so you have a plain sachet, not a sachet bouquet garni :) great cassoulet tutorial though
LOVED the dodgy translation! :) Best not show this to my French father as according to him his mother made THE original Cassoulet... yikes! English mother rolls eyes ;)
AT LEAST! une recette in french version.C'est encore meilleur que d'habitude.Surtout Titli ne change rien.Ton accent et ta prononciation sont D E L I C I O U S!!!.Et ton cassoulet.......semble.....D E L I C I O U S!!!
Tu parles super bien le français Titli, it's so cute! That's a funny way to cook Cassoulet! lol But you must say: HAricots, not ZAricots!! eh eh What is the words u always says at the end of your vids btw? What's that language, please?

@irateofwatford When I originally uploaded this recipe for Cassoulet I got a lot of racist abuse from French Nationalists.
TitliNihaan 2 weeks ago
@TitliNihaan I take your point. I wouldn't waste good cassoulet on such useless bastards - and I hope they get thrashed at the next elections!

hmm why didn't you do the thing with bread crumbs / crust / poke down / bread crumbs / crust / poke down, etc... to get a better sticky texture?

the 'h' in 'haricots' is not 'aspiré' !!!
never make any liaisons for words starting with a 'h' :)

RobinSandza 1 year ago
@RobinSandza Les haricots - lezaricots :-) Khuda hafiz means God protect you. It's Farsi.
TitliNihaan 1 year ago
@TitliNihaan But the 'h' in 'haricots' is 'aspiré', not 'muet', so you can't make the 'liaison'. (It's like in 'héros', 'haches', etc).
For me the liaison is the most difficult part of French pronunciation. I always have trouble deciding whether I should do it. A pain in the cul! ;)
estoymuyharta 1 year ago
@estoymuyharta Agreed! From les heros to lezeros in a clin d'oeil! :-D
TitliNihaan 1 year ago

I think they changed it for 'haricots', btw. I think it used to be muet and now it's aspiré. Just to make it more interesting ;)
