I hope your feeling better since your post. I know what your talking about the strangeness of the rush. Its a head buzz..and a warmth thru your body...it passes thru you. It is horrible. God Bless you...my family didn't believe me either. The physical pain was awful. I believe you. If you need to vent...let me know!
You are helping as another gentleman member named silentjealousy77 and TheFargath - msg me let everyone know if you are well now and possible consult with the two members going thru' same experiences. You are in my prayers.
@rushlimbang I took my last dose of Ativan 2 days ago. I tapered for four weeks. I was on 3mg a day for only 2 weeks. It was the most horrible time of my life..and I am still dealing with it. I can't wait till I can feel secure about my life again with the poision out of it! I was misdiagnosed. They said panic I said gall bladder! I was right they were wrong! I went to a different hospital and now have no gall bladder and this drug took almost 2 months of my life away.
@rushlimbang Wow...Well my gallbladder was acting up before ativan. I screamed and begged to them I knew what it was..they misdiagnosed me big time. I can't get those weeks of my life back...and the sad thing is...they pass this GARBAGE around like it is HARMLESS. It is a life ender. That is that! I hope you won't be needing it anymore!
I responded earlier with some notions regarding why you might be experiencing these issues.
This time, for all who visit here, please permit me to add the following.

my docters making me taper off, I dont know if being a minor effects it more, but I cant sleep untill 3 or 4 every night, I have horrible anger issues and depression, I dont suggest it for people unless you drasticly need it
Next time try cannabis, it doesn't hurt you. Its only downside is the threat of prison. And as far as I'm concerned going to prison is better than being poisoned.
When you taper off it, taper slowly. Every symptom you explain leads to benzo withdrawal. tapper to an 8th an mg a month. It is tolerable. Whatever you are taking drop down to an 8th or less a mg and drop that does every 3 weeks to month all depending on how you feel. It will ease up your symptoms and eventually you'll get back to who you were. trust me on this. It may take a year give or take. Just tapper and be patient. That's the only way to do it safely and right. It's prolonged withdrawal.
It's without a doubt the benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome doing this to you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I see that this was uploaded on 9/27/09, so it's a year and a half later for you now. I bet you are either healed, almost healed or getting ready to turn your corner.
you hang in there baby, im withdrawlin from klonopins i was addicted for 3 years and i been tryin to quit for 2 years is very hard and u feel like your body goes out of wack but get a grip, hang in there and know your not the only one, try hot tea's and massages [= helps me... i was consuming about 3-10mg's a day for 3 years even my liver is going down the drain [x but we just gotta hang in there, keep faith alive, god bless...
victim of benzo solved sleep problem at night for palpitations tremors , with 500 mg. tylenol before going to sleep... regular tylenol only,,do not take any medications that label says to help you sleep,,for these chemicals will counteract with the benzo in your body and wont let you sleep. you will sleep 4 hours for sure,,avoid more than two tylenols perday, not friendly with your liver.. the problem is physical, thats why medication for brain will not work...lightofgod@coqui.net
That's exactly what happened to me. The doctor thinks im full of shit and so does everyone around me. Klonopin is a nightmare and it should be against the law to put people on meds like this. I had seizures just trying to get off this.
I feel your pain. It's the pill, your mind might tell u elsewise.. It's a creepy feeling I know. youre not alone there. Its been a week now. This pill kills and there's 3 options, Coldturkey , ween off, or keep taking what kills you. Stay strong. I wish the best for to make it through this.. Just give it time and know you're not alone in this. it takes a year+. It will be long, once u get back to your sanity and on your feet you'll feel strong from this traumatic experience. be strong.ok :)
I am in the process of withdrawal from Klonopin, (clonazapam) and am experiencing muscle spasms and tics in parts of my body that were never affected before. I have not seen the physician, psychiatrist this month yet but will soon. I am at a loss to explain these oddball symptoms. But rest assured they are definitely from the Klonopin. It is hard for me because I am also gaining weight along with the withdrawal. Any suggestions? But definitely it is from the withdrawal.
It's not really your body, but your brain that's reacting to withdrawal. Ativan/Lorazepam takes the place (does a better job) of the naturally occurring GABA (relaxing) chemical neuro-receptor. After a while, the brain stops making GABA all together, as it doesn't have to. But try to stop (even after a 6 day taper for seizures), and you're left feeling like a feral cat on crack in traffic! It then takes 6 TO 18 MONTHS for your brain to pump GABA normally.
I am 19 and I have taken klonopin none stop since I was 15 and that's a big no I have panic and anxiety and I don't want two rake it any more I am having withdraws and there like urs I am freaking out!
@WolfAttackFromSpace It has worked well for me for many years. It is one drug I rely on with the least of side-effects. I can't tell I take it...but could not reach deep sleep without it. It also quickly stops my nervous tremors. I suffer with Fibromyalgia, central nervous system damage and clinical depression. I hope it works as well for you.
Klonopin is a anti-seizure drug but is also very good for some fibro patients. I have had Fibromyalgia for 20 years and I have been on and off of Klonopin for years. I am now on it... and will probably stay on it because it has less side effects and I can't reach deep sleep without it. It also is only drug that helps with the central nervous system shakes. I am still on a low dose ...only 1 mg. I know drugs react with people differently...but it works well for me.
@wolfattackfromspace its not a devils drug man, people on here just dont know and are preaching what they hear. ive taken it for two years off and on hardcore too. hang in there! I took Kpin for about 8 months and only .25mg per a nightly to go to sleep. Got off cold turkey 6/12/10 It was 4-5 days of hell. Couldn't think, muscle pains, couldn't sleep and light sensitivity to the point where I felt high. This is only at .25mg! Although my symptons 85% went away after that.
