An incredible car for the money-- no doubt. Why few comments on how it drives, the sound it makes, how it behaves at the limit, and how one wishes the ride would never end... :o) !?
@PS2Gameplays I wouldn't understand why anyone would want to visit here. It's ugly and boring. Maybe a few days, but no more. If I was from Britain I'd go across Europe and North Africa, Middle East, East Asia, etc... but that's just my opinion.
@VhUgGz I live in Ireland mate ;) , I've been to the UK, Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Venezuela and Hong Kong. My next destinations are Australia, United States and possibly United Arab Emirates.
@PS2Gameplays I have a friend from Ireland. I've only been to UK, Germany, France, Italy and Iceland. :( If I were you I'd definitely go to Dubai, then to Abu Dhabi. In Abu Dhabi they have Ferrari world. I heard Australia is cool, too. :)
@lewis72 of course it is! this is an amazing car and still puts alot of modern cars to shame! the 3.8 version develops 340bhp and will do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds un restricted there also capable of 180mph rather than 155mph
@bugsy791 e34's have never used vanos only on the 525 it was used and like bugsy791 says they never made an e34 528 well not for the uk market maybe in some countrys but i can asure you that car is a genuine e34 m5 a true enthusiast would no what they are looking at i own a e34 m5 3.8 and its a fantastic car you shouldnt judge a book by the cover.....
It depends on the country they sell it in and how the importer wishes to advertise the car.
The E34 M5's S38B36 engine in reality is a 3,56 litre engine, not 3,60 litre, so some countries say that it's a 3.5 litre. Same goes with the S38B38. It's advertised as a 3,8 litre, while it really is a 3,85 litre.
Because of this, in Japan for excample, the 3.8 litre version is known as a 3.9 litre.
i own the 3.8 m5 and trust me theres more to worry about then the dash...... mine is in mint condition and only done 85k miles and boy is it expensive to keep it that way
if the most important thing to check from the whole car is the state of digital dash than you can go terribly wrong buying an m5 :) anyway, my dreamcar
"if the most important thing to check from the whole car is the state of digital dash "
It's not, this guy just doesn't know what he's talking about. Suspension and engine/transmission are the key areas, the E34 dash rarely/if ever has pixel problems. That's a common fault of newer cars, E38/E39, not so much the earlier cars
@tacktaks Actually, he does. He never referred to pixels, he's referring to the capacitors going bad. In fact, all the E34s had this issue, and it's occurred in my car twice in the time I have owned it. Not just the circuit board, though, check the connections. I made the mistake of replacing the board with a rebuilt board, and it actually solved little of my problems the second time, because I just had loose/bad connections elsewhere.
The next two cars are a joke compared to the e34 m5. This guy really needs to shave his terrible sideburns and soulpatch. I hate everyone on fifth gear except tiff.
hello , i have bmw e34 525sport .I have a m5 boot infill on it but it looks like it is missing a rubber around the boot lock .Does anyone know if the panel should have a rubber plug ??
that was a real m5 in ronin. it had the directional 17 inch turbine wheels as well as the m5 front and rear bumpers. the one they crashed was a 535. sometimes the turbines look like 15s with thin whitewalls.
They rebadged a regular E34 in Ronin. I bought a E34 M5 2 years ago for $10,000 on eBay. It had all the receipts, inspection 2 done, etc. It's been rock solid for 12,000 miles, and is at 162K now. A little valve clatter at idle, and timing chain guide whine, and needed new oil pan gasket, plus I converted to R134 when it turned out the compressor was bad. That's all typical , and so it running past 250K without any motor probs. My old E28 went 350K and still runs fine, just leaks:)
@hutchydogg I'm telling you so that other people considering an E34 M5 purchase have some idea about it's common issues, reliability, and how suited it is to being a daily driver. Isn't this video about buying a secondhand E34 M5? Yes it is. Seems like my comments were very appropriate.
I think in Ronin that in some shots a regular E34 was used and possibly an M5 in others. And yes the guy in this video is clueless; just a typical journalist!!
First... , in the movie Ronin it was not M5, just regular E34
Second, this guy doesn't have much idea about E34 M5's....... and the "common" problem he is talking about in reality it's nothing compare to other issues that you have to consider with this car...
E34 are one of the most beautiful cars in the world !!!!!
3.5 Liter? I'm sure E34 M5s came with 3.6s and later with 3.8s.
