But what think it sounds cooler when you put the capo only on the bottom 5 strings (so you still have the low E )and you don't mute the E on the C-chords. in my opinion at least ;)

Can anyone help me please. I've been playing guitar for about a year now. Have progressed and got better but the only thing that I cannot stop doing is this. When I use a pick (soft or hard) my bottom E string rings out loud above the rest. It annoys me and I was wondering if there was anything I could do to stop this.

@Ashby2508 could be a few things, either technique or maybe a set up issue, id recommend taking it into you r locl guitar shop and ask them if they can fix it, they are probaly you rbest bet.good luck and keep playing
