I have this, it's amazing. Turely amazing. Faster than anything else that shows up in a benchmark list too. I think only the Asus transformer quad core 10 inch tablet beat it.

@jcouture808 Yes, it does with with ATT hpsa+. I bought the unlocked version from Amazon.com. You do have a minor setup on APN (which you can easily find instruction for from amazon.com reviews), which took me just 1 minute.

Aside from that, I was impressed by the s-pen functionality, but not with the speed.

I'm planning to buy a matte screen protector so that the pen won't slip too easily on the screen; it would be more germane to the screen writing that way I think.

I meant "S-Pen writing response speed." There's slight delay in pen-writing.

pencil mode seems little faster.

Actually, I just ordered a matte screen protector, which will give the screen paper-like friction on the surface --> this I think would greatly improve the writing experience more than the pen-response speed. I'm pretty sure it will.

@TheSneakyStudent He is putting 7am on the handwriting and what the calendar do, is that it makes a meeting for 8:00-9:00 and gives you alarm for it at 7:00. That is what the program do. Now according to his words you are 100% right :)

Why are people saying this won't fit in your pocket, it's just over 5" ask your self this question, is your hand bigger than 5"? If the answer is no then don't buy it coz you won't be able to pick it up! If the anwser is yes, then does your hand fit on your jean/ trouser pocket? Yes of course it fucking does. So my point is if your hand fits in your pocket then so will a 5.3" phone.

Nice device, though this is to big to be used as a phone in my opinion... It doesn't look like it will fit in your pockets, you'll need a handbag or purse to carry it with you (LOL)... It would probably work well if you where shaq with those big hands... Cool phone/mini tab, but just to big for me... Peace

This is awesome device, but I have couple of concerns - S memo lag between drawing something, and processing it by this smartphone. This could be annoying. Also, can I write emails and SMS with stylus, or there is no chance for that and I need to type? Regards and please - somebody answer me.

Really pleased to see that the desk and car docks will be available.

I have heard the UK model will not have the "optional" NFC reader. Also read that it is incorporated in special batteries so it may be that one can buy an optional battery with the NFC reader in it - Still trying to find the answer!

FInally, I understand it uses the Russian Glonass satellites for satellite navigation but can't find out if it also uses the US GPS sats. (the Apple 4S does both). Samsung should guve more details

@videolan, Samsung is very clear that it does also utilize GPS. The specification page on the Samsung Galaxy Note product page says:

A-GPS, Glonass

@Lensman864 A-GPS simply means Assisted GPS and means that satellite ephemeris and almanac data. This data is available for both the Glonass and US GPS system. It is unfortunate that the term GPS (Global Positioning System) is often used to mean the US operated system. Glonass is also a GPS as is the forthcoming Magellan system. Just because the spec says "A-GPS" it does not mean that it uses the American GPS system as well as the Glonass system but I can understand why you have been confused.

@videolan You're absolutely correct and my apologies for my perceived rudeness, it wasn't meant to sound so curt, I was responding without thought as is so often the way and so often criticised by me so I've no real excuse! Nevertheless I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Note has a dual GPS & Glonass receiver and as all other Galaxy phones have GPS (right?) it's improbable that this one won't but you never know. I remember seeing the details for the HTC Stylus tablet on their website and nowhere did it state whether or not you could actually use it as a phone - they were too busy "selling" the wonders of the stylus. I think Clove must have added that info in the last few days as that was one of the places I looked before ordering from them!.Just a bit disappointed that the NFC seems not to be incorporated on the UK Model. I have read, however, that the NFC functionality is provided as part of a hybrid battery so it may be possible to retro-fit NFC. I am also sure it will get Ice Cream Sandwich in the not too distant future.
